• Very convenient for rail travellers. Complimentary juice, bisciuts and sparkling water in fridge a nice touch
• Room very small and hot. Too noisy to sleep if window open

• The hotel is in need of a major makeover and -ú125 per night without breakfast was excessive.

“The Station has seen better days and has been left behind by the modern hotels. It needs major investment by a large chain to bring it up to scratch.”

• The exceptionally short distance to the main train station and to town and shopping centre and really handy for the city sites.
• Although the room and beds were comfortable, the amount of day light in the room was very small and without the room lights on at all times it would have been quite difficult on the eyes.

“Our overall stay at your hotel was excellent. The staff were really helpful and not intrusive. The bistro was good and staff very friendly and eager to please. The leisure centre facilities are excellent and very relaxing. I received all the information that I needed from your web site and found booking really easy. Thanks for a wonderful few days.”

• leisure facilities great as a base somewhere to get your head down
• no decent sky channels room needing renovating

• Spacious room, central location, staff cordial, good room facilities.
• Check in problematic, receptionist could not find my reference.It would have been nice to have cappuccino or expresso as a choice for breakfast.

• Enough space; easy to connect to the internet.
• My room was a little cold when I arrived, but soon warmed up when I turned the heater on. It was November :-)

“The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is attractive, spacious and clean. The location was perfect for me - two minutes walk from the station.”

• The location and nothing else
• very dirty, shower did not work, television did not work, oh and also the radio did not work Why did i stay there?

• Grand entrance to the hotel and the lobby. Good noise insulation fom the main road in front.
• The inside of the bedroom was very worn and 'tired'.

• It was clean. Hotel was close to the nightlife & transport
• Was annoyed that the TV reception wasn't very good.

“Also think the standard '2.50 charge for room service is ethically wrong. This should be left to the guest.

Found the gym/sauna facilities hard to find.”

• Central location and that's about it.
• Lack of furnishing in room. Chest of drawers and hangers would have been nice.

“Very easy to book on-line. Excellent location everything you need for a great weekend is within walking distance. Pity about the room which I would describe as poor value for money in respect of decor and furnishings. No drawers so we were forced to leave half our clothes in our bags.”

• Comfortable bed
• 'Parking' is very limited. Very few guests are able to park because there are so few spaces.

“Being adjacent to the railway station in Newcastle city centre there was some noise but it was not too bad. The hotel should have made it clear that the free parking was very limited.”

• Clean, comfortable and ideal for my buisness needs. Room service was prompt and well presented
• The pigeons outside my window were a nuisance! The mattress was also a little lumpy - but it didn't upset my night's sleep.

“I was very impressed with the architecture of the hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. My room was pleasant and the view of the Tyne Bridge was a welcome bonus. I was surprised, but pleased that having ordered breakfast to my room it was not charged to my account and despite my offers to pay it, the reception staff very kindly offered to waiver the charge as it was a mistake! Overall I was extremely pleased with my booking and would gladly stay there again.”

• well positioned in the town, close to the station,the food was of good quality though basic

“for short stays this would be adequate, this was the second visit, and I would probably use it again due to its close proximety to the venue I frequent”
