• Come on, old rooms, what do you expect.

“If you are a westerner and want to feel the fading glory of Stalinist age, go to hotel Ukraine. Atrocious service, very relative cleanliness and rotting carpets in the corridors are a downside, but the architecture, the feel of the room (almost like a ghost : ) and the location are absolutely fantastic. I go for business to Moscow 4 times a year, and stay in different places, but Ukraine is definitely an experience. Magnificent. Anyway, scheduled for remodeling into one of faceless Marriott's or Radissons in 2006, so don't miss your chance.”

“spent 3 days in Moscow headed home from Kazakhstan. Great place. a few weeks later a car bomb exploded around the block across from McDonalds. we missed red square”
