“We stayed their one day. We left 2 days early. The loo in the bathroom would not flush, had to get my own plunger just to use the loo. Tub was a mess soap all over the tub. The people were very rude.” Sep 14, 2008 by

“Went for a 3 day stay with my partner, impressive building from outside. Very old inside, could do with a bit of love and attention. First impression of staff not very friendly no one smiled, room ok, clean apart from bath, could have done with a scrub, also had the noisiest hot water pipes I've ever heard. Evening meal left a lot to be desired, have never known any where be so disorganized in all my life, food in Jenny's Restaurant was not what you would expect from a hotel like this, poor to say the least. Staff didn't know what they were doing. Food kept running out, no one was filling it back up again, not very hot, staff miserable, no choice, tasted like tinned soup for starters, frozen veg for main etc, was left feeling hungry. Breakfast was ok nothing special but again very unorganized. There was cutlery missing from our table, you had to catch someone's attention if you wanted a cup of tea, as they didn't come forward to offer it to you. I would put it all down to bad management. The best thing I can say is about its location spot on!” Mar 13, 2007 by

“The rooms are ok but there is one significant factor bringing the whole place down - attitude! The staff is simply awful. They made us feel as though we were putting them out or something and we didn't come across a friendly face the whole time. My wife complained at one point about a member of staff who clearly had a problem with his job, but it seemed that the management was equally as rude and unwilling to assist. Bitterly disappointed! We certainly won't be staying again.” Feb 27, 2007 by

“When we first arrived we were fairly impressed with the reception area. However we were allocated a room on the third floor and what a shock we got when the lift door opened. It was like stepping out into a slum! I had booked it for my partner as a Christmas present so you can imagine how upset I was. We went to our room and I have to say I have never seen anything as bad. The decor was terrible with the paint and wallpaper chipping off the wall. The bathroom had no shower, which I think is a basic requirement. We asked to be moved to a room with a shower and were sent to the sixth floor which was a little bit better but the room was stuffy and the decor terrible. I had to clean the bath. The toilet didn't flush properly. I could go on and on but suffice to stay again I will never stay there again and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone else.” Sep 1, 2006 by

“Awful hotel nasty, dirty and small rooms. Staff would prefer you weren't there as you're interrupting their chat time. Phones and money went missing from the rooms as we slept. Stay well away.” 8 of 8 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
