• The very helpful and friendly reception desk staff.
• Run down, without charm or style, smelly towels.

“We spent one night in this hotel which was a 4 star hotel in the City Center. The experience was disappointing. The hotel seems to be in it's final stages, the interior in many places run down and in a bad state. The room was poorly decorated, smelled old and unpleasant and though clean seemed to not have been redesigned in the last 10 to 15 years. The bathroom was old fashioned, hardly any complementary toiletries provided and, what was worst, the towels smelled so intensely and unpleasantly (though clean), that we preferred to use our own travel towels rather than those provided by the hotel which left a funny smell on the skin. The one positive point was the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the reception desk staff, who were delightful. How on earth this hotel earned it's 4 stars remains to be explained, it surely does not deserve it (anymore).”
