• The decor.
• No common outside space.

• The staff was very helpful supplying an ice pack for my sprained hand every evening.
• The bed was uncomfortable, we could feel the springs through the sheets.

“I found it very clean and the staff friendly. Being a walker, I was fine with the location but someone that doesn't walk much might want a hotel more central to the Duomo. The bed was very uncomfortable but the bathroom was recently remodeled and very clean. The common room had free internet which was great for us, hotels usually make you pay an arm and a leg for internet. The hotel did have old world charm on a budget. I would recommend it.”

• The price was great for what you got.
• My room was tiny while our traveling partners had a huge suite for the same price.

“The price was affordable, had a good location on the edge of the city center, the staff spoke good English and was friendly, and the hotel is clean and warm. I would stay here again.”

• Beautiful old building, lovely room, very helpful English speaking staff.
• Great location to certain attractions, but have to take taxi to Uffizi and academia.

“This beautiful hotel fits in perfectly with ancient Florence lovely architecture, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance, including the pomodoro Rossi, and the train station, cappella Medici and il duomo is just a 5 minute walk away. The staff speaks excellent English, and they are very accommodating for booking taxis and museum passes. We can not recommend this hotel enough!”
