• Good quality accomodation and excellent service, food was terrific via room service

“This place is my treat once a month. Unfortunately its too expensive to stay every week but there you are.”

• Friendly, excellent pool, clean, comfortable rooms, good location, good value, good food.
• Very slow restaurant service, especially breakfast. Dinner menu needs a wider, less ambitious choice.

“The only complaint was the very slow restaurant service. We had to wait 45 minutes for eggs and bacon at breakfast with only 10 people in the restaurant - they told us there was only one chef who was very stressed out. Otherwise a very nice hotel in which we would stay again.”

“When I initially contacted the hotel by phone prior to my stay to check reservations I could not get an answer, and this happened when I was staying at the hotel when I phoned from my room, infact I eventually called reception by my mobile and got an answer. Also I was disappointed that there were only 2 modem leads in the hotel so I was frustrated that I could not send any emails to my customers.
The staff on the whole were ok, but not at attentive as I would have expected both at reception and the gym, they appeared to be going through the motions!! And not particular interested. Dinner in the Italian was very good though”

• Nice hotel and leisure facilities, staff very good and not patronising
• Got a noisy room next to air con centre, complained and they did offer to move us to another room but unfortunately we had just crawled in from a party and didn't take up the offer.

“Very good, we would go there again for a relaxing stay.”

• Lovely rooms with balconys to sit out on!! plenty of bars (6 in all)General standard or hotel was execellent and very luxurious
• Some of the staff on reception were not very efficient and didnt seem to know much about the hotel or area. I think they were new though so dont let that put you off

“This hotel is ideal for a relaxing one night break or longer. Make sure you arrive in time to use the leisure facilities as they are excellent and well worth getting there early for”

• Lovely staff, comfortable beds, good bathrooom, well stocked selection of hot drinks and biscuits
• Expensive breakfast

“The standard of the Menzies Mickleover Hotel was excellent. My only complaint was the price of breakfast - '13.95 each. But as the rate we had paid for the rooms was very good in the end the overall charge was fantastic value for money.”
