• Close to a bus stop.
• Room very small, many stairs at entrance, far from sites.

“The hotel in way out far from anything interest in Barcelona. The entrance had some 20 step and there was no bellhop. The rooms were too small for more than ONE person. Would NOT stay here again.”

• A+++. Excellent staff!
• Maid service was not bad. But could have been a little better (out of toilet tissue, etc).

• Beautiful hotel, bus stop right outside, minutes to all sites.
• Bed too hard.

• Excellent restaurant.
• Away from the center of town.

“A modern hotel, zooms with spare but appealing decor, lots of light and ample space, near the beach, but beyond walking distance from the center of Barcelona. The hotel, its rooms and public spaces were visually appealing. The restaurant served excellent 3 course lunches at the locally competitive price of 16 euros. ”

• The Mediterranean view was great! Staff was helpful.
• Bus to downtown was confusing. We goofed once.

“Very clean. Walk to beaches and pier was great. Restaurant employees were particularly efficient and friendly. Everyone was very pleasant.”

“This hotel is great value for money. Location is a litte outside of town, but the bus stops right outside the hotel and runs constantly. Also, taxis are cheap! The beach is right across the street and it impressively clean. There are also wonderful cafes right on the sand offering food, drinks & music!”

• The staff was helpful and friendly.
• It's not in the center of things but the bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

“Hesperia Del Mar was clean and the staff was very helpful. Despite it being away from the popular spots of Barcelona, we still enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hesperia. My husband and I walked along the waterfront one evening, all the way to the restaurant/shopping/pier area- it took about 30 minutes at a brisk pace. The next day we walked all the way to La Rambla for the exercise (it took a looonng while). For convenience's sake, you can easily catch the bus.”

• Hotel was just fine. The front desk staff was very helpful.
• I did not like the restaurant in the hotel. Very limited meal choices. Not many places to eat near hotel.

“Hotel was very comfortable for the short time we stayed there. The rooms were a little small bye American standards. I did not like the restaurant in the hotel, meal selection were very limited and expensive. I would give the Hotel a eight. I would stay there again.”

• clean, modern, comfortable, quite, with views of the Med!
• isolated area, 10-15 minute walk to the metro. A tad difficult to locate.

“The roads in Barcelona are confusing, even with a good map. While we thought we were following the directions from the hotel website, it took a few tries to actually find it. This is a very nice hotel with excellent rooms. While it's located in a bit of a industrial/residential area which is 'off the map' for most Barcelona maps, it has nice views of the water, and it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro from which you can get anywhere quickly. Our room was of superior quality, and the staff was wonderful. Overall, it's an exceptional value considering what comparable hotel rates were on the internet.”
