“This hotel was great, I would stay here every time. It is about a five minute walk from the Subway station, but other than that, everything was wonderful.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Ro from Las Vegas, NV
“Delightful experience. Met and exceeded all expectations. Will stay again.” Jul 6, 2008 by

“Hotel was perfect for a family with young children. Our suite had ample room for 2 adults in the bedroom and two children in the living room. The only drawback about the hotel was the distance to the tube station and the center of London. This was a major inconvenience which required a cab ride every morning or a 20 minutes walk to the nearest tube station.” Apr 27, 2008 by
Fred from Riverview, NB CA
“Very well appointed hotel with large rooms (suites) staff friendly and helpful. Location is out of the way 15 minute walk to closed underground station which is main means of transport in London. Also somewhat removed from rest of west end London so always a hike back to hotel and trips out for the day have to be for the whole day as it is time consuming to return to hotel.” Apr 19, 2007 by
Ellen from Marblehead, MA
“Everything you could want and should expect from a five star hotel can be found at the Conrad London, a beautiful contemporary facility on a small, enclosed harbor in the heart of London. The friendly staff was extremely helpful with directions and transportation. The suite we stayed in was so comfortable and provided everything we needed. I could go on and on about the amazing bathroom and bed.” Apr 10, 2007 by
Thorarinn from Hafnarfjordur, IA
“Excellent rooms and the service was first class. A little bit far from the next tube station for those who choose to travel that way but those who are staying at this hotel probably don't bother taking a taxi.” Feb 24, 2007 by
Barbara from Annapolis, MD
“Concierge desk was so helpful. Room was large and allowed us to spread out. Fun area to be in and things to do and see.” Feb 14, 2007 by
Peter from New York, NY
“Excellent all suite hotel with very clean, comfortable and well-serviced rooms. Location a little awkward but very charming.” Feb 3, 2007 by
Stephen from Boston, MA
“The hotel itself is superb, with views over Chelsea harbor quay. Our suite was very nicely appointed, in a modern but warm style. Breakfast in the hotel's restaurant is generous and delicious. Two major drawbacks which will stop me from staying there again. A) Internet access, which is critical to me as a business traveler, is charged at 25 pounds (us a day, which is outrageous and insane. In the week I was there I witnessed 3 different dismayed and angry discussions at the front desk about this. B) The hotel is far distant from the tube (subway), which meant that we had to rely on taxis and added considerably to the cost of stay.” Jan 29, 2007 by
Jeff from Pittsburgh, PA
“The Conrad is a good hotel with very comfortable accommodations. The problem with the hotel is that it is located far from a tube stop, and I had to wait over 25 minutes for a cab as well.” Jan 3, 2007 by
Keith from Williamsburg, VA
“Terrific value for a five star hotel in London. While not near the primary tourist venues, travel is convenient via bus or taxi.” Dec 25, 2006 by
Geoff from Boulder, CO
“For Americans - they will love this hotel - very large suites v unlike normal London hotels - excellent restaurant/bar and good pool/health club -” Nov 17, 2006 by
Heidi from Colorado Springs, CA
“I requested a 5 star in Kensington. This hotel was in such an inconvenient location that I had to walk a half hour each way every time I wanted to reach the tube to get anywhere. The carpeting was worn, the tile was yellowed and the TVs were old and the clickers did not work. It was definitely not a 5 star and caused me major aggravation because of the location. ” Jun 5, 2006 by
Chad from Houston, TX
“Overall a nice hotel but definitely not 5 star accommodations.” Apr 25, 2006 by
Janice from Dc, DC
“Located in Chelsea with fab shopping, restaurants and away from the noise of downtown London. Great Bar with a view of the harbor.” Apr 4, 2006 by
Rick from Landenberg, PA
“One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have had the pleasure of staying in some of the best.” Mar 1, 2006 by
Martin from Anchorage, AK
“The Conrad Hotel is very comfortable and the rooms, all suites, are well appointed and spacious. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a safe area next to a marina on the Thames. A serious drawback for tourists is that the location, in Chelsea Harbor, is quite far from central London's tourist attractions (e.g., Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery, etc.). Also, the closest subway station is Fulham Broadway, which is about one mile away.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Mitch A. from Lisle, IL
“I stayed at the Conrad in London for 2 weeks on business. My wife flew in from Chicago and met me at the hotel over 1 weekend. In general, we had a great stay at the hotel and would recommend it to other travelers I checked in to the hotel around midnight on a Sunday. Check-in was fast and courteous. I requested a non-smoking king room and pleasantly surprised to find that the room assigned to me was already a non-smoking king. The room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the front of the hotel. I did not have a view of the harbor The room (actually a suite) had a bedroom with TV and vanity and a living room with a small sofa, chair, desk, and another TV. The room was good-sized and did not feel cramped even over my 2-week stay. We did not dine in the hotel restaurant, but ordered room service on several occasions The food was delivered quickly, was always hot, and was good. The hotel is located in the southwest corner of the Chelsea neighborhood at the intersection of Lots Road and King Road. There are several restaurants and pubs in the area. My wife and I tried Chutney Mary and Jim Thompson's. They were both outstanding meals, albeit pricey (it is Chelsea, after all). Being on the West end of London, it is feasible to take a cab from Heathrow to the hotel, especially during non rush-hour times. Traveling to central London required a 15-minute walk to the nearest Tube stop (Fulham-Broadway). The trains were crowded during rush-hour times, but were fine on the weekends. There are also plenty of buses available on Kings Road, but we stuck to the Tube. Check-out was equally fast and courteous. Throughout our stay, there was always at least one cab available in front of the hotel and usually more down the road. Grabbing a cab was not a problem during check-out either.” Feb 20, 2006 by
Patricia from Brooklyn, NY
“Absolutely beautiful room or suite. Reasonably ok service, though had some confusing interactions with staff with extremely poor to incomprehensible English. Unimpressive breakfast, soupy eggs for example. Absolutely terrible location for business travelers. It cost be 23 pounds to go to the City for an appointment, approximately 40 dollars. The rest of the time, I walked, took buses to the train, etc. Won't stay there again. Won't recommend it.” Feb 9, 2006 by
Jim from Ottawa, IL
“I highly recommend this hotel. The luxurious rooms are very large and very clean. The hotel is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Although it is a bit of a distance to the center of London. I was treated very well by staff. Definitely a positive experience. I would have no hesitation in returning. This is not an inexpensive hotel but it is good value for the money in my opinion.” Jan 5, 2006 by
Cedric from Brussels, AL
“Location not very convenient (far from the center, no public transport which are useful in London). Very good restaurant (Aquasia). Rooms with a view on the Thames. The other ones... not really.” Jan 1, 2006 by
Diane from Cool, CA
“Nice, big rooms. Good when traveling in a group. Beds were excellent. Best night's sleep we had on our entire trip! We had rented 3 rooms and had problem with the heat in one and problems with the shower drain in other. Hotel staff were very helpful and responsive. Loved the King's Road area! Less touristy than some other London shopping areas with nice stores and plenty of good places to eat.” Dec 9, 2005 by
G.C. from Fort Mill, SC
“The Conrad is a nice hotel. The food is not five star but is priced as such, it is off the beaten track. You need to take a taxi to mass transit. I was given a handicap room and my fried was given a room that was oddly configured. It was apparent that we were given rooms that no one else wanted.” Oct 17, 2005 by
Sue from Gloucester, MA
“A beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, attentive service. Horrible location, nothing to do around there and it is a $20 cab ride to get anywhere.” Sep 23, 2005 by
Tony from Commerce, CA
“This is an excellent hotel and it provides good service.” Sep 12, 2005 by
Kevin from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“Friendly efficient. A little oasis after a days sightseeing. 5 star prices in hotel though for any extras” Apr 15, 2005 by
Sandra
“This was a very modern, elegant hotel. The suite was spacious and the bathroom was lovely. Of all the hotels we stayed at in England, the Conrad had the most wonderful bed, very comfortable with down comforters and pillows. The staff was very helpful and friendly, not pushy at all. The only minor downside was the slightly remote location, a few blocks walk to the nearest tube station and restaurants. Overall, we had a great experience.” Apr 3, 2005 by
Mayra from Santa Monica, CA
“This hotel claims a view fron the room but you have to pay extra for it. Also the location is out of the way and you need to take a taxi or transportation to get into town. It is a good place if you know how to get around London.” Mar 31, 2005 by
Mary
“Glad we stayed there. It was quite and relaxing. If you don't mind riding on the bus you have to stay. Chelsea is a darling neighborhood. We will stay there every time we go to London! Great spot for older kids. Room was a real treat in London.”
