“I stayed in the hotel as part of a coach company tour. The hotel is tired and in desperate need of updating. The public rooms were acceptable, but the terrace was dirty and needed painting. The bedrooms were of a poor standard and the bathroom did not have proper shower, nor did the plugs fit in the washbasin and bath. There was no double glazing, so you were woken from 5am by heavy lorries. The evening meals were adequate but they served insufficient vegetables. The breakfasts were poor. The rolls were hard, there was inadequate fruit, and ham and cheese and these were often stale. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”
