“I loved it! It was beautiful. Every room has a balcony with hammock overlooking the beach!! The food was pretty good, but service was slow. The crab tortas were so so, but the palm salad rocked! The food is very expensive there so you might want to take a taxi & eat somewhere cheaper.” Apr 19, 2009 by
Norma from Huixquilucan,NM
“The building is awesome, great location, clean, beautiful beach and view.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Brian from Tigard,OR
“This hotel is off the beaten path. Not in hotel circle which makes it much quieter than others in Ixtapa. All rooms face the ocean and we never missed a beautiful sunset.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Mark from Union Pier, MI
“$10 for scrambled eggs. $11 for a club sandwich. $6 for a beer. $4.50 for a coke. $9 for a margarita. $15/day for internet access. This hotel thinks way too much of itself in it's pricing.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 8, 2008 by

“We enjoyed our stay on the 22nd floor with an absolute view of paradise. Sleeping with doors open while listening to the crash of the waves against the rocks is an added bonus. Accessing both a continental breakfast and a happy hour are nice benefits if your package includes these amenities. We traveled after Spring Break and post-Easter, the start of the low season. Obvious better service, fewer crowds and a much quitter experience were most enjoyable. Las Brisas is an exceptional property if you purchase the right package to suit your needs to match your expectations.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 31, 2008 by

“This hotel is absolutely beautiful; the architecture blends in with all the natural surroundings. The restaurants were top of the line. The ocean view from the room was breathtaking. The bed was so comfortable and the staff was very attentive and friendly.” Mar 11, 2008 by

“We have returned to this resort for several years now. We love the level of service and friendliness of the staff who we now feel are family. We love the feeling of privacy with the property and beach. We will continue to return to this resort.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Tess from Prineville, OR
“We'll go again, but eat out more, because of cost. Probably stay shorter.” Nov 10, 2007 by
Michele from Colorado Springs
“This was our sixth stay at Las Brisas and we had a great time! The updates to the rooms and new beds were a nice suprise! The staff was very friendly and remembered us from our previous visits. The swimming pool is the best in Ixtapa and the beach is lovely too. The only thing we found disappointing was the food downtown in Ixtapa. Da Buffone was the only good dinner that we had. I would recommend dining in Zihuatanejo instead. More reasonably priced and better quality. Serena Gorda and Chuleto are two of our favorites.” Nov 10, 2007 by

“This was our sixth stay at Las Brisas and we had a wonderful time. The staff and property are the best in Ixtapa and we look forward to staying there again in the future. The new updates to the rooms were a great suprise and the beds were very comfortable.” Nov 1, 2007 by

“Great location, beautiful beach. Staff was very friendly and rooms were had awesome ocean views and huge balconies! Best value in Ixtapa!” Sep 23, 2007 by
Connie from Apple Valley
“We found the beach to be very nice. The beach club rooms included free breakfast and daily happy hour, which had a great hostess. She greeted us daily with friendliness and went out of her way to be helpful. Actually, all staff was very helpful and kind. The pool area was far away from the hotel; however, the walk to the pool was nice. The food was not the best and was very overpriced. Not sure that I would go back because of the cost of food and beverage. That seemed to have been the biggest downfall to the hotel/resort.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Greg from Medicine Hat, AB CA
“Will not stay there again.” Jul 29, 2007 by
Peter from Modesto, CA
“Very nice, beautiful hotel. Take a taxi into town for dining if you want to save money. Eating at the hotel restaurants is pricey.” Jul 13, 2007 by
Bob from West Columbia, TX
“Excellent location adjacent to a public beach that was very remote that it appeared like a private beach. Hotel was very clean with outstanding service from the entire staff. Free valet service was a plus. Stayed at beach club level which was extremely quiet with an excellent continental breakfast and evening happy hour. Did not eat at the hotel but went into town where there were numerous restaurants for every taste. Ithaca itself is relatively new with no Poverty in sight with excellent roads. The mountainous background and the ocean made Ithaca a beautiful place to spend a very relax and fun fill time. I would recommend Las Bruises for their location, staff and above all the semi-private beach.” Jun 29, 2007 by

“The hotel is a wonderful place if you are looking for a relaxing time. The rooms and ocean views are incredible. The pool area is also beautiful. The only concern is the distance from the shops and local restaurants. The hotel is located on a small hill and it is isolated from the rest of the chain of hotels so it required a good walk just to get to the main street and a taxi ride to get to the shops. The taxi ride was considerably inexpensive $3.00 dollars so it was not that much.” Jun 24, 2007 by
Ramiro L. from Waukegan, IL
“Our room was beautiful and staff kept the room clean throughout the day. The bruises club amenities of the continental breakfast and cocktail hour (hosted by Benjamin) were great and worth the upgrade. The location of the hotel provided a romantic setting, but is away from the other hotels. Not much entertainment at night there at the hotel.” May 22, 2007 by
Houston from Houston, TX
“Great views, great pillows, great service including the best room and housekeeping service, if you are going to ixtapa this is the only, the only place to stay. The rest of ixtapa is loud crazy and overrun!” May 2, 2007 by
Scott from Houston, TX
“An extremely beautiful hotel with a view that will remind you of paradise. Perfect for Honeymoons! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I haven't ever met a group of people who will treat you nicer than they were at Las Brisas. Get ready to enjoy this part, and just go into town for good food at better prices!” Apr 4, 2007 by
Nanci from San Rafael, CA
“Very friendly and efficient service. Remodeled rooms are large with great balcony terraces all with water views. Fabulous private beach.” Mar 13, 2007 by
Joe from Chicago, IL
“Great location, nice staff, unbelievable views of ocean from private, uncrowded beach or private balcony complete with furniture and hammock! Very romantic and relaxing.” Mar 2, 2007 by
Btz from Birminghan, MI
“The best terrace facing the sea in the bedroom romantic and old fashion at the same time. Incredible views and waves music.” Oct 26, 2006 by
Karen from Chiloquin, OR
“I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is a perfect spot for a honeymoon. It is quite romantic. You can hear the ocean at night and all of the rooms have an ocean view and very nice tiled balcony overlooking the ocean. Four swimming pools and excellent restaurants are great too.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 5, 2005 by

“My husband and I stared one night at Las Brisis. First, the view is spectacular. The sunset was truly wonderful. The room itself was quite small and the bathroom vent did not work so the bath room smelled moldy, but the room was as expected for a hotel this old. Room service on Saturday night took over an hour but the food delivered by the waiter was set up on the balcony and became quite a romantic setting. The large king bed was nice and firm with good bedding. For one night I enjoyed our stay but would not have been so happy if we had stayed there our entire trip. The hotel has a wonderful isolated beach, but that also made it hard to get outside of the hotel's boundaries and see the rest of the town. The Sunday morning buffet at one of the restaurants was $35 US. We felt it was tremendously overpriced and were disappointed in that, but otherwise we had a good time.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 16, 2005 by

“Though this hotel was listed as a 4 star hotel. By no means would anyone think it was. The decor was from the 70's, it was so big that t was about a mile to get to the pool, air conditioning was limited, everything was old and outdated. I can not imagine why anyone would give it a four star rating. Frankly for a great chain like, Las Brisas, I am surprised at how bad it was.” May 23, 2005 by
Gavin from Seattle, WA
“Good food, good room, good view, nice private beach, pool was lacking.” 5 of 7 people found this review helpful.
