• Price was worth the accommodation.
• The hotel charged me additional taxes.

“The hotel is nice and relatively close to everything via bus or taxi. The only problem I encountered was the issue of paying for additional $$ for taxes even though I pre-paid everything. Just seeded very odd, still doesn't make sense and I have never had this happen to me at any other hotel for any booking.”

• The friendly, efficient staff helped us in a thousand ways.
• We were frightened by a siren and loudspeaker (in Spanish) test one morning.

“From start to finish, the staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful in giving us travelers' tips and directions. They saved us a lot of time we could have wasted. The hotel is clean, and only ten minutes from Old San Juan by bus. All ideal for us.”

• The hotel location was adequate and well secured.
• MAjor renovations were in progress with an elevator being installed with alot of noise during day and alot of carpentry and painting.

“The hotel was adequate and comfortable. General MAnager was abit aloof at addressing concerns and front desk staff was too relaxed about accomodations. I was put in a studio facing ocean which was great, but their was no elevator on my end of building and was on the fourth floor of a five floor building. Their was no wi-fi in rooms and had to travel down to lobby to use laptop everytime. Elevators were turned off at night and had to struggle up stairs late nights. ALot of painting, sanding and carpentry to get prepared for season with no safety precautions for guest (saw dust got in my eyes when I turned corner to go to car). No compensation for inconvience. General Manager was notified (Lou) but he was the least concerned.”

• The location and the view of the laggon made my trip!
• Parking.

“The friendly and professional employees made me feel welcome. The housekeeper was very detail oriented and my room was always clean and smell great.The lobby decor was edgy with an attitude and the pool was nice and the water warm and refreshing. Even though I was a tourist I wanted to stay somewhere that I was able to experience the real Puerto Rico and thats what I got and I was a very happy guest.”

• I did not like the unclean look and feel of the carpet.Also the pool had this unsightly ring around it,eventhough I did see the attendant add chlorine

“Very nicely appointed hotel and room and very comfortable in good location. The staff was exceptional, though, with friendly smiles and very helpful information at all times. Would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay again.”

• Internet was fast.

“This hotel is good for a one night Prue-cruise stay. I would not stay here multiple nights for a vacation. It is too far from Old San Juan and the beaches. One would have to take a car or public transportation to get around. Nothing is within walking distance.”

• Never have met a nicer or more helpful staff.
• My son and his family had a very small room.

“Located in a residential area with places to eat near by. Movie theatre and food store as well as bus stop out the door. Not sure if a family would stay more than an overnight before cruise but the staff is top of the line here. Probably good for business people.”

• The staff was amazingly accommodating.

“I was not feeling well, but, we were hours early before check in time, having gotten off a cruise ship. The bell hop assisted us in getting a key to the pool area so that I could lie down. Within an hour, they got us into a room. The staff was like a blast from the past, old fashioned customer service all the way. They helped us find a pharmacy, restaurants, and called a cab when we needed one.”

• It's slightly away from beaches. It will cost 10-15 dollars each way to go to Old San Juan or any Beaches.

• It was close to the freeways so you could get where you wanted fast!
• $15 a day for parking. I think this is pretty much standard in San Juan.

• The hotel was sharp in its contemporary style. Staff was extremely helpful.
• Neighborhood was uninteresting for walking about although easy to get to other interesting areas by bus or car.

• Very nice hotel, not far from Old San Juan, and friendly staff.
• Bathroom ventilator was really dirty, had not been cleaned in months.

“Great hotel to stay at regardless of the occasion. My experience was pleasant other than the dirty bathroom ventilator, and maybe the overpriced mandatory $15 valet parking.”

• Immaculate, friendly, convenient, had it all!

“This is a beautiful clean, modern, fully equipped hotel. I think it cost $16 by taxi from the airport and less than that to the cruise port. It is on a bus line. We got up too late to have breakfast in their restaurant, but hopped the bus across the street and went to Denny's for 75 cents bus fare. It is not a resort hotel; there is no beach nearby. But it was perfect for our purpose - an overnight stay before our cruise.”

• Two excellent restaurants, although only eat at one. Pool was nice and quiet for reading and relaxing.
• Room was a bit small, however it had all the essentials and was cozy for sleeping. TV needs upgrading.

“The Marriott Miramar is a comfortable hotel with very good service and great restaurants. Coming in and out with our rental car was very easy. The hotel is probably best for business travelers. It's a short driving distance to Old San Juan or El Condado. There's a pharmacy and supermarket within walking distance.”

• Top notch, good location, clean, quiet and
  safe.
• Had to turn the air conditioning off (down didn't work) so we didn't freeze to death!

• Pool area was very small and building blocked the sun.

“Good value. I was disappointed in the pool area, as there was construction next store and could not relax, plus the location of the pool, the surrounding building blocked any sunshine. housekeeping was very late in coming to room. the location of the hotel was not convenient to any nightlife.”

• The housekeeping cleaned up my room and threw away my personal things!

“The location was great and the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and how to get around town. The hotel was clean and room was very comfortable. Hotel only had one elevator but it was fast. Location was great and not far from Old San Juan and there is a free bus that you can take to get there. Only thing that I would have liked was airport transportation.

• Beautiful room, clean bathroom. Free internet.
• No self parking!

“Great hotel, recently renovated. Staff was helpful. Location is excellent, no car needed for trips to Old San Juan and Condado area, but highly adviceable if considering going out at night. Taxi service is available during day time. Presubly available if called at night.”

• Clean, classy, convenient to main highway, old San Juan.

“We rented a car and were able to navigate to and from the hotel easily. The staff was helpful and friendly. Dorado beach was only 5 minutes away and Isla Verde about 10-15 minutes.”

• Taxis were always available. The hotel was very clean and impressive for the price. The area had a lot of nice local places.
• I had to take a cab to the beach.

“The hotel is great. It is in an area with plenty local hang out spots, where you can get to know the people of San Juan and as a result discover places you might not have known about if you were to stay in a resort. It is not too far from Isla Verde or Old San Juan, however the taxi fair was about 15 each way. The hotel service was great, there is free internet access that is always available, and they do dry cleaning as well. Very nice, very clean, and great service.”

• The extra charge for parking.

“Excellent they need room service (food) and to have free parking for their guests, other than that it was a great hotel and the staff was incredibly friendly, specially the valet parking attendant at night and the ladies upfront can't remember their names but very pleasant.”

• I loved the royal treatment given to each guest, as the staff took time to make sure that the vacation was excellent.
• I loved this hotel but breakfast in the restaurant was a little expensive.

“A beautiful hotel that offers complimentary luggage assistance with quick check in and a fast efficient elevator. The rooms are excellent and very clean. There is a taxi stand in the front so there is no problem commuting.”

• It was in the center of the business zone of San Juan.
• The only safe parking was valet at $15 a night.

“Everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price on the breakfast caught me a little by surprise. If you are traveling alone on business, it will do fine.”

• Valet parking was convenient and access to rooms was quick and convenient.
• Area is not safe at night. Eat early and get back to the hotel. A lot of homeless people hanging around and asking for money.

“The hotel is clean and accommodating. Unfortunately it is not in a beach front area so you need to travel by car to tourist attractions. There is one restaurant several blocks from the hotel which comes highly recommended by the staff if you do not want to eat at the in-house restaurant. I ate at this restaurant (Los Pinos) twice and was not impressed. Service was like a truck stop diner. Food was just okay. Walking to the restaurant at night made my spouse a bit nervous as the element enroute was a bit shady. The hotel is clean and the rooms were very comfortable. In a nicer area I would recommend highly.”

• Room was very clean, bed very comfortable, great shower.
• Only one elevator - very slow as hotel was full due to upcoming Democratic primary.

“We stayed here one night prior to our cruise. After hours flying it was a very comfortable night's stay and I definitely would return. The front desk staff were very helpful in directing us to a local restaurant a few blocks away. There was also a grocery store within a couple blocks where we bought bottled water and drinks to take on the cruise.”

• Staff was extremely informative of what to see on the island.
• The room was 90 degrees when we got in, but we just had to turn on the air.
