“The Canmore Radisson was very nice and a great value. It is only 15 minutes from Banff, but is much less expensive than Banff hotels. Highly recommended.” Oct 22, 2009 by
Keith from London,Canada
“Good basic room with all normal amenities - ironing board, TV Internet hookup coffee machine and super clean new shower wash room facilities. Helpful staff. Unfortunately an outdoors walk is required to access the lovely, clean well equipped fitness center, pool, hot tub steam room. the tread mill was out of order.” Sep 15, 2009 by
Dan from Okotoks,Canada
“Good clean hotel, centrally located in Canmore, but with staff that are not well trained in customer service. Restaurant is overpriced, particularly taking into account the fairly low quality of service provided by staff.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Doug from Port Moody,Canada
“Excellent value, great location, and friendly staff.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Mark from Eden Prairie,MN
“This is a perfect hotel to stay with a very reasonable price!” Aug 20, 2009 by
Jennifer from Dartmouth,Canada
“The front reception staff was pleasant. The rooms were nice and modern. However, we attended supposedly the "best Sunday brunch" and I believe it was the worst Sunday brunch in Canada. They didn't even have toast!! There were no staple items such as French toast, pancakes, toast, bagels, breakfast pastries, eggs Benedict, etc. For a $20 brunch I expect better quality than steamed egos!” Aug 20, 2009 by
Scott from Calgary,Canada
“I hate to dwell on the negatives but it's hard to ignore dirty carpets, odd smells, cramped rooms (especially the bathroom) and the absolute atrocious water quality of the pool and hot tub. The pool water was cloudy and they obviously compensate for that by throwing in a whole lot of chlorine. The hot tub has a thick layer of foam and scum - this is grease, oil and skin cells people! Don't let your kids make a Santa beard out of it! Front desk staff were friendly and helpful but I found the rest of the workers aloof at best. One was even smoking a cigarette right outside the door to the courtyard and we had to walk through a thick cloud of his smoke to get to the pool. It was fine for one night but if I had been booked for more I would have been looking for other accommodations. Apparently the restaurant is good but we did not eat there.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Lauren from Edmonton,Canada
“This hotel was a little disappointing. We expected a nicer, more romantic place to vacation. The steakhouse on premises was disappointing. It was too expensive for tasteless food. We had a great time on our holiday and the hotel was just a place to stay overnight but it would have been nice to have had an even nicer place. Overall it was just okay.” Aug 12, 2009 by
Grace from Carlsbad,CA
“We got a good room rate through Priceline. We stayed for two days and were pleased. The room and the bath room are clean and good sizes, but the bed is too soft for us. The hotel provides refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee. The hallway and the elevator area are stained and worn out. The location is not far from the highway we mainly visited Banff and very close to the supermarkets. The inner hotel looked rather dated. If you don't mind the look, it is a good value place to stay.” Jul 7, 2009 by
Lori from Calgary,Canada
“Good, quiet location not too close to the train tracks. Basic rooms with basic amenities. Good for a quick stay.” Mar 4, 2009 by
Paul from Three Hills,Canada
“I would have been nicer to have the hot tub/swimming pool and exercise room under the same roof as hotel, so you didn't have to walk outside to get to it.” Jan 13, 2009 by
Andrew from Sturgeon Bay,WI
“This is not somewhere I would return to. There are plenty of decent hotels that have as much to offer.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Daming
“They supported everything which they can give in this hotel.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Fatos from Ann Arbor, MI
“Decent location, friendly staff but would not stay again due to the room conditions.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Les from Shawnigan Lake, BC CA
“We stayed for a total of 3 nights and the housekeeping staff did not clean the room, stock or clean the coffee, or make the bed. We called and asked for service and received none. We were in a group attending a wedding that stayed at a nearby hotel that was way cleaner.” Aug 26, 2008 by
John from Saint George, UT
“This hotel caters to tour groups and a bus was started at 6 am and the engine ran for an hour. The hotel is not taken care of. It needs to be inspected often. The toilet in our room broke (seat). The room had been refurbished but there was damage to the public areas. There was a complimentary breakfast that we were not told about. I would use another hotel next time. This was overpriced and had careless management.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Kuenzang from Calgary, AB CA
“Dingy and motel like. Lost and found refused to help,. generally bad experience.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Matt from Chicago, IL
“Just minutes away from Banff, reasonable prices (relatively speaking), courteous staff. The whirlpool/pool was great for relaxing the sore body after long days of hiking in Banff. The sleep number bed was very comfortable and good for my back. The room, though, was a little cramped, dingy and with badly stained carpeting.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Liz from London, ON CA
“The Canmore Radisson has a main building and two back buildings. It is an outside walk type of accommodations. The hotel requires repairs and is not a deluxe hotel. We would not recommend it to anyone that was looking for a four or five star place. Possibly a 2.5 star.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Robbie from Edmonton, AB CA
“One of the nicer hotels in Canmore. Far enough from the train tracks that they won't disturb you. Overall, a nice hotel with great staff.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Todd from Edmonton, AB CA
“Main building has nice rooms, I would rate them as a 3. The rooms with the separate entrances, Motel like style, were not as nice, I would only rate them as 2. The fitness facility was minimal, 1 bench, 5 different barbell weights, one stationary bike. Pool was nice.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Matt from Cambridge, ON CA
“Great location, great price. Clean rooms The buildings are not connected which means you have to walk a good distance outside to get to main building with pool and restaurants. Washer and dryer were not working properly. Might be scamming people on dryer, it doesn't dry clothes very well. Had to spend $2 5x to get clothes to the point that I could hang them to dry over night. Despite these problems, I would consider staying there again (if I got a room in the main building).” Mar 25, 2008 by
Liana from San Francisco, CA
“Great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Banff/Canmore/Calgary area.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Ann from Spruce Grove, AB CA
“Overall, great location, staff was fantastic (rare to come by in Alberta), we enjoyed our stay.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Lisa from Waterloo, ON CA
“The Raddison Canmore was nice in the main building, but when I was directed to my room it was off the main building cramped, dingy and not clean. I was disappointed.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Chris from Waco, TX
“I was very impressed with the staff of the hotel and their helpfulness. My hotel room wasn't very clean. I found hair all over the place (a certain pet peeve of mine) including the shower, which was of particular concern.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Qassim from Sherwood Park, AB CA
“The hotel has two parts: one junky, the other renovated. If you stay in the renovated section, you will be all right.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Leeann from Spruce Grove, AB CA
“Rooms were clean and functional. Staff was friendly. Lobby quite nice.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Krista from Lasalle, ON CA
“I was very unhappy with this hotel. It was dirty and outdated, the bathroom sinks were outside of the bathroom, and there were cigarette burns on the tub. The bedding was itchy and I developed a rash. The carpet was stained, and the dust made my allergies flare up like crazy - I could barely sleep the entire night.” Jan 20, 2008 by
Susan from Menasha, WI
“We stayed here for 4 days on our honeymoon. We were given an upgraded room with a king bed. We requested a refrigerator and were given one at no additional charge. When we entered the room, we were thrilled to see rose petals on the bed and strawberries and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. On Christmas day, the front desk found a great restaurant for us and even convinced the establishment to stay open for our late dining. We recommend staying in the main building as we saw a room in one of the outer buildings and it was not nearly as nice.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Eric from Torrance, CA
“I saw some negative reviews on the website from last years' visitors and was very worried. However, when I arrived at the room in the main building, I was so happy because the room was clean, looked great and exceeded my expectation. I liked the swimming pool and the service was good.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Cynthia from Calgary, AB CA
“The hotel itself was excellent. I had originally wanted the location to be in Banff, but this hotel that I won was actually in Canmore, a completely different town that was approximately 30 minutes away on the Trans-Canada highway. Although I made calls to the customer service center, they were not helpful in trying to resolve this situation for me. This hotel location turned out to be extremely inconvenient and completely ruined our travel plans that were centered around Banff.” Oct 21, 2007 by
D from Juneau, AK
“It appeared this is where they contracted with organizations like the Canadian railroad to house their laborers/operators and where they had apartments for staff of the motel. The exterior of the old section was rotten in places, the drapes were askew, caulking around the sink was slopped on and missing for about 1/4 of it, the olive color paint on the wall had been slopped on the white ceiling in areas, picture frames were askew and one had a the picture in the frame askew as well. The furniture was poor quality "country" style. When the people upstairs walked (they were not intentionally loud) it woke us. I was very disappointed and apologized to my wife for bringing her there. Representing the room they put us in as three stars is fraud. Don't go.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Bob from Edmonton, AB CA
“The room value was proportional to the amount paid. I am wondering if Canadian hotels offer the same value as the hotels, we experienced, in USA.” Jul 16, 2007 by
John from Venice, CA
“This is not a 3 star hotel. Other than that it is just O.K.” Apr 30, 2007 by
Phat from San Gabriel, CA

“A nice little basic room, quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff. Large open lobby. The only negative is the hot tub, women¿s change room, and steam room is under repair and appears to be a long term repair.” Feb 5, 2007 by
Randi from Berkley, MI
“Nice moderate hotel; clean, comfortable and pleasant. Very convenient to highway. Some of the nicest staff I have encountered while traveling.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Dick from Kenosha, WI
“This is a good hotel in a good location but it's beginning to show signs of neglect and cost-cutting: poor room lighting, dirty walls, chipped paint, etc. This is not to scare anyone away but the hotel owner needs to take maintenance seriously as this place needs some clean up, paint up and fix up. That said, it's not a horrible place or one that anyone should avoid (smoke free is a plus!) But it could easily start getting a bad reputation if it continues to be a victim of neglect.” Jan 4, 2007 by
Ashlee from Calgary, AB CA
“This hotel should be economy to low moderate in rating. It provided a place to sleep for the night but offered minimal amenities. The location is good but it is much overpriced for the type of room and service that you receive.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 21, 2006 by

“This hotel was one of the worst I have stayed at, lower than a Motel 6.The steps leading to the room were filthy. Once in the room, the carpeting was dirty and stained, the sheets were stained, the bathroom had hair from previous customer. I would not stay at this hotel again and it was definitely not worth the price.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 14, 2006 by

“I paid for a 3 star room and was given a 2 star room, then I had to pay more to get what was originally purchased.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 27, 2006 by

“Hotel is centrally located in Canmore. The rooms are small and cramped. For the colder weather of Canada, they could make their blankets or comforters thicker and warmer.” Apr 12, 2006 by
Sharon from Edmonton, AB CA
“Great location, good size rooms, beds hard, blankets/comforter excellent, staff friendly. Pool and hot tub good. Didn't use restaurants or lounge.” Apr 10, 2006 by
John from Maple Ridge, BC CA
“A very enjoyable stay at a fashionable hotel.” Mar 23, 2006 by
Andrew from Chapel Hill, NC
“Service was poor. We expected a breakfast delivery after placing the order form provided on our door handle the night before, but the order was never even picked up from the room. We called to complain and they said that they would bring it immediately. When they did bring it, they tried to charge us room service prices, rather than the cheaper breakfast order prices. This hotel claims to provide wireless internet, but does not. The Ethernet connection provided is not what I would call high speed. Used toiletries were not replaced in three days. The location and the room were fine, but I've had better service at one star motels.” Mar 22, 2006 by
Ron “Toilet was plugged upon arrival in room, rollaway cot that was requested 3 days earlier was not in room upon arrival. Breakfast in restaurant was poor.” Feb 19, 2006 by
Tim from Royse City, TX
“Nice hotel, unbelievable views of the mountains around you.” Feb 8, 2006 by
Dale from Regina, ND
“We were put into another building behind the hotel with older quality, well worn rooms. Service was fine, location was good, food in the steakhouse was very good. ”
