• Clean and fairly spacious for a European hotel.
• Beds were really uncomfortable - both hard and soft.

“The area is quiet and just outside of Vienna's city center. Train stops were not super close, but just average. Staff was nice, but not extremely helpful. There was a computer available for guests with a printer and free Internet access, which was nice.”

• Narrow garage, still smoking allowed.

• Convenient location, close to mass transit. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great buy at the price we bid.
• We did not get a breakfast for our bid price of $125. Immediate neighborhood not real attractive.

• Close to concert venues, close enough to ring and shopping.
• A bit noisy in the morning with bus traveling nearby.

“Small but handsome hotel very close to ring and music venues. Great if you are into Vienna's classical music culture. About 15 minute walk to station mitte. Some restaurants are a bit of a walk (10-15 minutes to opera). Room slightly small for 4 stars, but the price was right! Staff helpful, and most spoke serviceable English.”

• Food quality in restaurant was excellent.
• Forgot to give us bath towels first day; no bar of soap next day.

“The overall experience was quite acceptable On 3 separate occasions, the staff was either dismissive or only marginally helpful. The room had not been well dusted. The first day there were no bath towels, only smaller towels. The second day, there was no bar soap. The location is excellent and the hotel is beautiful and the food is very good. They had much to work with, but could use a shakeup of staff.”

• Close to historic district. Clean and comfortable.
• A little hard to find but what isn't hard to find in Vienna?

“A nice hotel with a friendly staff. The Sofatel Vienna was within walking distance, even for Americans, of a large part of the historic downtown district. It was clean and comfortable. ”
