“The best thing about this hotel was the location, which was right Downtown in the historical heart of Toronto.” Mar 21, 2008 by
Dinesh from Owen Sound, ON CA
“NO bed sheets were placed in the room. Unable to find easily writing paper & pen. Not enough electrical outlets. Drinking bottled water was very expensive.” Feb 17, 2008 by
Susan from Springfield, MO
“I thought this to be a very nice hotel, in a nice area of downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and fresh; however, hotel corridors seemed a bit dated. The room was plain but clean, the chairs not the most comfortable, but met the need.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Jane from Midland, ON CA
“Would stay here again.” Jan 22, 2008 by
Joseph from Mississauga, ON CA
“Really great hotel, would recommend it highly.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Vincent from Shelby Twp., MI
“Comfortable quite clean but internet very slow did not work.” Jan 16, 2008 by
Peter from London, ON CA
“Simply said we loved being there and hated leaving.” Oct 23, 2007 by
Jennifer from Rochester, NY
“The hotel is situated in a great location, within walking distance to great dining/shops. In general, the hotel is nice, but they skimp on a lot of hotel "givens." the mini bar was set up on sensors, so that if you even moved an item, you would be charged for it (i.e., if you pick it up, you are automatically charged). Staff was relatively friendly. Parking was a hidden expense.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Thawach from Fuquay-Varina, NC
“Overall, the hotel is good for traveler!” Nov 16, 2006 by
Rita from Los Angeles, CA
“Excellent location near front street and nearby subway station. Clean and tidy, and would not hesitate to stay there again. I emailed before hand and asked hotel for two beds which was not a problem for them. I loved that! The room was smoking, but that doesn't bother me as much as sharing a bed.” Oct 31, 2006 by
Matthew from Peterborough, ON CA
“Pleasant facilities, but given a smoking room. Accommodations have minimal view, but quite hospitable.” Oct 29, 2006 by
Jeff from Elkton, MD
“Nice please for the money.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Stuart from London, ON CA
“Hotel location is excellent, close to restaurants and clubs, steps from Younger and St Lawrence Market. The hotel rooms could use some updating. I half expected Crockett and Tubbs to staying in room next door based on the decor. The pool area could also use an update. The real sour point was the poor service received at breakfast. While the food was good the service was nothing short of terrible. The waiter was rude and slow, in order to get the bill we had to ask another member of the wait staff. The maid and front desk were excellent. Based on the location this hotel would be worth another stay.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 5, 2006 by

“The hotel is two blocks from the closest subway station. Finding the hotel took longer than it should have because it is on a small side street and is easily overlooked. The standard room with two queen beds was clean and nicely designed. The bathroom was well-lighted with modern facilities.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Cherri from Bay City, MI
“A very welcoming hotel: lobby, personnel, elevators, decor and rooms. Enjoyed the European flair and convenience to public transportation and local pubs.” Jun 28, 2006 by
Gideon from Buffalo, NY
“I would probably stay at this hotel again under different traveling circumstances.” Jun 21, 2006 by
Rick from Accord, NY
“This old world luxury hotel is centrally located in the Toronto financial district, as easy walk from Union Station. Their friendly international staff will have you looking forward to your next trip to Toronto.” Mar 12, 2006 by
Jenny from Erie, PA
“The hotel was clean, safe and in a great location, in relationship to the Hummingbird Theater. The hotel staff was friendly, professional and helpful and the food in the dining room was excellent. It was a bit steep for my pocketbook though, but it served its purpose well anyway.” Oct 18, 2005 by
Cassandra-Ashley from Draper, UT
“Very nicely decorated, modern and great use of space. Great location, easy access to downtown amenities. Very nice fitness centre, with very accessible hours of operation.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 8, 2005 by

“An excellent, clean, well-run establishment in a great location, with friendly helpful staff.Health club was impressive for a dedicated hotel facility.” Jul 28, 2005 by
Amol from Columbus, OH
“Although the Novotel Toronto Centre appeared to be very nice from the outside and in the lobby, the room was small and not as clean as we had expected. There was hair on the bathroom floor, and a stain on the bed cover. When we commented about this to the staff, they were not very helpful and really just offered us another blanket (rather than doing the cleaning and replacing of the blanket as I would expect). The location was perfect for seeing Toronto. ” Jul 25, 2005 by
Ted from Glenview, IL “This hotel was in a great location, with nice rooms, near everything and I would definitely stay there again. Parking fee was $16.00 daily but this is usual with city hotels. Had to bring in my own luggage. I was there on business in Toronto and had no problem getting to my meetings around town from there.” Jul 22, 2005 by
Robert from Vancouver, WA
“The location is one of the best in town. however, the room was not as nice as expected, and I found the amenities namely the whirlpool not that great. The hotel is undergoing renovations so I imagine that in the future it would be better.” Jul 20, 2005 by
Jan from Brown City, MI
“Good location for walking to the city's popular tourist spots.” Jun 30, 2005 by
Monique from Montreal, CA
“I'd recommend this hotel to anyone going to Toronto who wants to be in the heart of downtown. It's a beautiful building, my room was airy and spotless. I recommend it highly.” Jun 17, 2005 by
Joe from Chicago, IL
“Overall, my stay at the Novotel was a pleasant experience. It would be nice if they provided breakfast as their buffet price of $15 seemed very expensive. The staff was very helpful and the location was fairly easy to get to.” May 31, 2005 by
Kathryn from Canandaigua, NY
“We were generally not happy with the Novotell staff. Language led to misinformation regarding parking facilities. The concierge did not seem informed and was ineffective.” Apr 24, 2005 by
Maria from New York, NY
“Conveniently located providing access to all the major streets and shopping centers. However, it is not in the heart of Toronto downtown, you will have to walk 20 minutes+ to major city attractions. Great restaurant, strongly recommend their salads and lamb rack, which was fantastic. Generally clean and cozy, nice amenities, including gym and pool. A couple of minor issues I had was a huge stain on the carpet of otherwise very clean room, which for some reason was irritating me; and one of the days the cleaning personnel did not clean my room for some reason.” Dec 3, 2004 by
Dave F. from Brooklyn “I was surprised to arrive at the hotel and was only offered a room with dialup phone data ports. I was offered only an option for $25.00 extra a night, and I had 6 nights on my stay, for a room with ethernet data ports. Sure it was presumably a 'larger' room and came with free newspaper, but I hated being stuck with that option upon arrival.” Sep 22, 2004 by
Nicole M. from Waverley Ns “I was shocked at the Novotel Toronto. It may be a 1 star as it was much worse than any of the 3 or 2 star hotels I have stayed in before. The hotel is dirty and very rundown. The service is non-existent. I hate to sound harsh, however I was very disappointed. I do not think this hotel deserves or should be classified a 3 star as it is no where near a Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Hyatt, or Embassy Suites.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 20, 2004 by
Felix M. from Sinking Spring, PA “The Novotel is located a block from the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto and is extremely accessible. It is close to everything in downtown Toronto, the CN Tower, the Hard Rock Cafe, the Toronto Sky dome, the Harbor and it's many restaurants and Shoppe's. It is close to Chinatown and Little Italy and if you hit it at the right time of day, traffic is not bad at all. It was a good experience. The Hotel staff was friendly and always helpful even to someone like me who visits Toronto about 4 times a year and knows his way around.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 10, 2004 by
Ywd L. from Ann Arbor “The room was clean and newly renovated (very nice bathroom), and the hotel had a gym and swimming pool. The only (small) gripes I have are that the showers for the gym & swimming pool were out of order during the time I was there, and the toilet flush in my room was somewhat broken (it required pulling upwards sometimes to stop the flow of water, and even then the toilet leaked water). The location of the hotel was a bit too far south of the city center for my liking, but still a walkable distance (30 mins' walk to Church and Carlton). The hotel parking fee was also a bit steep for hotel guests (over CND$18 a day).” Sep 10, 2004 by
Richard S. from Saco “I went to Toronto, and this hotel was a great deal, and a complete package. They had great clean rooms, a pool, weight room and helpful staff to help us to get where we wanted to visit in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Cameron M. from Plymouth “While the hotel was great, the real gem was the staff.” Sep 8, 2004 by
Wandah S. from Rochester “The hotels were centrally located and well reputed places such as the Westin Harbor Castle in Toronto, the Hilton, and the Delta in Quebec City.” Sep 2, 2004 by
Tanya B. from Staten Island, NY “Overall, our hotel experience was excellent. We did experience a few upsets, however, the hotel did rectify the problems and made up for our inconveniences.” Hotel Representatives:
