• Location.
• Room cleaned very, very late in afternoon.

“Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. The rooms were large, and nicely decorated. The amenities in the room were very pleasing with the exception of no microwave. The refrigerator was a tad small, as left-overs would not even come close to fitting. Hotel staff was very helpful with storing my luggage early upon arrival, and bringing up luggage upon check-in. All-in- all, I would recommend.”

• the room upgrade was realy nice
• No free internet, no convinent wheelchair/baby stroller access, they nickle and dimed us for everything!

“The staff of this hotel were very polite, but they charged for everything! The prices of the cafe were super high for the area, and low scale. There was no easy way to get my stroller out of the hotel, unless an employee helped me. Over all i was please with the room and view.”

• I loved the room, layout, decoration and view. Also very convenient to get to the beach and surrounding areas.
• There isn't anything that I didn't like.

• No kettle for heating water for baby's bottle. Seems to be a generic problem with American hotels though, they have coffee machines instead of kettles.

• The room was really up to date with 46inch plasma.
• The pool was really old, had no view and little sun.

“Hotel was nice. Although the parking is too small for the volume of people the hotel handles. It took more then 30 minutes for valet to retrieve my vehicle no matter what hour it was. The pool was also out of the 60's and had no view or sun. But the room was way better then we had expected with a nice new 46inch TV and a nice bed.”

• Newly remodeled beautiful rooms.
• Restaurant could have been more upscale, was a diner type thing.

“Excellent hotel, was just purchased in April of this year, so all rooms are brand new with beautiful decor. Large flat screen TVs in each room, refrigerator for our own food (not stocked minibar), safe for our jewelry, great linens on bed, and nice housekeeping people. Only minus was that the restaurant was a diner type place, not as upscale as I would have liked.”

• Very trendy and interesting decor.
• Could hear everybody coming and going in the halls.

“Overall, the hotel was nice. The problem with this hotel, like many others, is the 2-3 inch gap at the bottom of the door to allow for passing a newspaper through. This gap also allows all the noise in the hall (noisy patrons, doors shutting, ice buckets filling) to pass through just as easily. This was the only downside.”

• Pleasant staff! Very accommodating and warm. Provided great info re: hotel's remodel.
• Valet's broke my key chain and didn't tell me about it. Found out after being cut by the remaining part.

“Newly remodeled hotel with an edgy appeal. The bar was very inviting and intriguing. I really liked how the design of the rooms lent a trendy feeling with touches of "Hawaii" in the bedding and art. Along with the design the amenities were extremely upgraded as well. Flat Screen TV set up with every plug or jack one would need to set up today's technology. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the fabulously comfortable bed, it was soft but, not too soft and the pillows were perfect. We will be back!”

• The valet took off in our car while my baby was still in the car seat in the back!

“We only stayed one night, but thought the room was very attractive and comfortable. The flat screen TV was great. The location of the hotel was good, too. - Only a block away from the beach. I would definitely stay here again, though when my 7 month old daughter is older, there will be little at this hotel to interest her.”

• I enjoyed the wide, flat screen TV. The bathrooms were also very modern with glass walls.
• The overall size of the room was a bit small but very comfortable.

“I couldn't find a better "bang for the buck." The room was very nice and cozy. The television was awesome with High Definition. The bathroom had nice cracked glass looking walls.”

• Hotel is under construction and we could not use the balcony.

“Hotel changed to Hilton and it was under construction. We stayed at this hotel last year and it was much better. We nearly missed or shuttle bus because the valet people gave us the wrong pickup location and then only said they were sorry but did not offer to help with our luggage to move it to the correct shuttle pick-up location. We were not happy with this experience at all.”

• The room was very clean, and the remodeling in the bathroom was great. In general, the hotel felt as though we were spending more than we were!
• The lanais were closed because of the reconstruction project. Our room was small. Fine for the two of us, but it would have been too small w/kids.

“When initially planning a waikiki hotel stay, I was worried about the hotel we would be able to get in our price range. This hotel turned out to be a great experience. The rooms were recently redone, and you really noticed that in the bathroom! We had an ocean view, which even though the lanai was closed due to the reconstruction, was a nice thing to look at in the morning. The staff was helpful with everything we needed, and the location on kuhio was great for catching the bus. There were 2 ABC stores within a block for all those little extras we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and we'd stay there again if we have the opportunity!”

• Room needed renovation, street noise.

“This hotel is no longer a Radisson, and is transitioning to a Hilton. Most rooms have been renovated, though ours had not been. Had difficulties in getting the in-room Internet access to work. Street noise was loud. Balconies were closed due to construction. Location was ok, not great.”

• This hotel was close to the beach and shopping.
• When you book an ocean view room, you don't expect some one to be hanging off the balcony all day grinding and sanding.

“It would be nice to know that the hotel you are considering for your holiday is under construction then you could have the option of staying somewhere else. I'm glad I didn't pay anymore than I did for the pleasure of scaffolding handing off the front of the building the melody of grinders and sanders working all day long. What a treat for my first trip to Hawaii.”

• The staff, including the valet's and maids where very courteous, friendly, and helpful.
• The cost of parking was a little high, especially since we where already paying guests of the hotel.

“All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had most contact with the valet staff, and they always asked how our day was, or, if it was morning, asked where we where going. They always gave us helpful hints on where to go, and some other points of interest that we may enjoy. The hotel's location was centrally located to most everything that interested us. The room's where decent, and the maid service was excellent. Every day we came back, and they had cleaned without disturbing our items, but had cleaned well. If we saw anything lacking in the hotel, the staff made up for it.”

“The location is excellent. Very close to beach and restaurants. Excellent value and very nice for a 3 star hotel. Balconies are small, but nice for 2 people enjoying an evening drink. Only negative is soap and ice bags were not left in room a couple of times. Front desk was happy to provide these when we asked though.”

“I watched them check in three guests ahead of me and then tell me they "did not have your room type available immediately". If I wanted a room I could pay $40 extra per night and they would check me in immediately. If not, they would hold my bags and I could come back 5 hours later for my room. Further, the "fitness room", was a meeting room with six or seven cardio machines and hand free weights. They should not even be allowed to call it a fitness room. It was below Radisson standards that I am used to.”

• Value-one block off of beautiful beach, drugstore 1/2 a block away, beautiful views, balcony, very good breakfast.

“This hotel exceeded our expectations, large room with small fridge, excellent breakfast buffet, balcony with view of mountains and obstructed view of beach. This hotel was in a very safe location and there was a drugstore 1/2 block away, it was also close to h-1 and only about 20min away from the east shore sights.”

“The hot water did not work in my room. Despite assurances, it never improved. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Although the quality of the room and the hotel was sub par (with outdated facilities) the staff was one of the best I have seen, particularly the bartenders at Hang 10 and the lobby bar.”

“The Radisson is just fine for a holiday in Waikiki, which is a terribly busy town. The rooms are big and comfortable (though a small bedroom) and service is very good. The hotel is close to the beach and the strip with restaurants and shops, so it is a good place to be. The price we paid is very reasonable, I would suggest not settling for less, it was a very good price-quality ratio, and you do need the comfort of a hotel like this to survive the Waikiki jungle!”

• We loved the pool area, and the rooms were great.
• The parking lot, but then parking is a problem all over Hawaii

“Enjoyed our stay. The food was good at the restaurant, but pricey in comparison to other places we tried. Staff not real helpful in what amenities were available to guests, pretty much on your own the days we were there, but would definitely recommend and stay there again.”
