“Beach/surf notices well posted. Roosters crowed all night difficult to sleep. Resort fees were not mentioned but $ manageable. Would recommend resort to others.” Sep 29, 2007 by
Brian from Denver, CO
“The Hilton is a very nice property only about 2 miles north of the main airport. It is centrally located for trips to both the north and south shores of the island. Pools are somewhat small but very relaxing. The beach, while attractive is not one for swimming due to rocks and strong currents. Be warned, the Hilton is in the Kauai beach resorts complex. There are no signs on the main road telling you the Hilton is down this road.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Jp from Naperville, IL
“I love this place. The Hilton recently bought it from Radisson. They are very attentive to details and are updating everything. We'll be back.” Sep 17, 2007 by
Amy from Lafayette, CA
“We chose the hotel because it's proximity to the airport - we wanted a convenient place to stay as our flight arrived late in the evening. Although we stayed just one night, we had dinner, breakfast, swam in the pool and got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.” Sep 11, 2007 by
Chris from San Francisco, CA
“I recommend the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort. Located equidistant between the north shore and south resort area of Poipu. Nicely manicured grounds and well-appointed large rooms. Skip the evening torch lighting and hula performance - it was not worth the time. Very friendly staff and upgraded us with our Hilton Honors preferences. They even allowed us the use of a Hospitality Suite the evening before our flight to shower and change, even though we had checked out hours before. Don't bother with the beach though - it is not worth swimming and there are many superior beaches on Kauai's north shore.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Mike from Bayonne, NJ
“Very nice staff but the hotel is not that luxurious, you can tell there are layers of paint on the walls and moldings. Need a major renovation. Not up to Hiltons standard.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Brian from Algonquin, IL
“The hotel is located on a beach; however it is full of coral and cannot be used. In order to enjoy being on the beach you would need to drive 5-10 minutes to the closest sand beach. On the good side, they have a nice pool deck and happy hour was a plus. I used the hotel mainly as a place to stay and not a place to fully entertain myself and my wife. It is located equidistance from activities on the north shores and the south shores, so it was ideal in that respect.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Anita from Sherman Oaks, CA
“Old looking hotel that needs modernization in its public areas. It was below the standard of other Hilton's that I have stayed at in the mainland. The rooms were nicely furnished, but everything else looked as it were out of the 1970's. The fitness center / spa were below par of other Hilton's that I have stayed at. The grounds were a mess and need to be cleaned up. There is no wireless internet or regular internet in the guest rooms which is bad for business travelers. It was not romantic at all either so not a good choice for a romantic getaway. I was upset about being confronted with that upon arrival. The hotel doe snot allows for late checkout and the hospitality room they offered was not clean. Substandard for typical Hilton quality overall” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 5, 2007 by

“Excellent location, great food and service and the #2 pool(s) on the island.” May 31, 2007 by
Clint from Camas, WA
“A good hotel to keep in the program. Did not like the resort fees since I believe a hotel should put the price for a room in the price for a room. In my mind, resort fees are a form of bait and switch advertising.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2007 by
Mary from St. Charles, MO
“Beautiful room, helpful friendly staff although they should put more staff at the front desk during peak times as there was a lot of backup. I could get wifi in my room as long as there weren't allotting of people using the service. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 24, 2007 by
Michele from Tamarac, FL
“Very nice property and helpful staff. I would like to say that for another property in Maui called the Aston Maui Lu, horrible property. It was located on the beach which was nice but it was very old and the furniture was very dirty, I might be a little hesitant to use.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 21, 2007 by
Eric from San Antonio, TX
“We stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms are wonderfully appointed and well-maintained. This hotel also has evening local shows by the swimming pool and cocktail receptions which I find truly wonderful!” May 20, 2007 by
Bob from Pacifica, CA
“Great beds and good location, however a/c goes off when door opens (which makes sense) which would not be a problem if there was a fan in room to move some air.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 29, 2006 by
Philip from Kailua Kona, HI
“Very friendly staff; nice for a small resort, but not a place I would want go if I were just hanging out all day. A great base for island sightseeing. Nice pools, and surfers on the beach. Jogging trail on site and good exercise room/spa. Nice bar with nightly entertainment. Even the Hyatt does not have a swimming beach.” Aug 28, 2006 by
Rakesh from Fremont, CA
“Good hotel, still remodeling, gym is average, charge parking/resort fee, nice pools and grounds, good value.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Michelle from Phoenix, AZ
“Exceptionally family friendly. The valet's let my daughters feed the koi fish every day while we were waiting for our car. Beautiful pools and evening shows. Nice happy hour too. Gym is outdated and could use new equipment otherwise excellent stay. My daughters are 2 and 5 and they had a great time.” Aug 3, 2006 by
Francesco from Norwood, NJ
“Good for families and honeymooners, better than big resorts, unfortunately non swimming on the beach.” Jul 18, 2006 by
Laura from West Hollywood, CA
“Staff was great!! We're told we would receive champagne for our honeymoon later that night but it was not in our room. We did not bother since it was only one night. Our flight was at 10PM, it was great they had a hospitality suite were we could shower and change while they stored our luggage all day.” Jul 14, 2006 by
Ruben from Burlingame, CA
“no one seems happy to see you. What ever you asked the are quick to say no. I called the night before the world cup to see if they would play it at the bar. they had no clue what the world cup was. In the morning I asked if they could turn the TV in the bar on to watch the world cup and they were quick to say no.” Jul 5, 2006 by
John from Kapolei, HI
“The hotel has an excellent location and the price was pretty reasonable. The facilities are very nice, but the rooms were not clean. The food needs improvement as well.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 18, 2006 by
Pam from Paradise Valley, AZ
“Charming and intimate setting. Lovely pool and public areas. Not the glamour of the mega resort. Easy to find from airport. Would recommend to others.” May 27, 2006 by
Ken from Los Angeles, CA
“I was going to contact you when I went home. Where do I send the video I took of the hotel. The construction noise woke us up at 7am every morning We could not swim in that beach and the out door activities to teach us how to surf was on hiatus. we were not able to do any of them also when we paid the person in the hotel to go out and do out door activities with another company since ours was closed they did not have us on the right date to rent. A TV's and the food in the restaurant was expensive and not good. I am looking forward to your response I am surprised you allow your customer to end up in hotel with major construction. I am in another one of your hotels right now and it is once again under construction” May 1, 2006 by
Gayle from Ca, CA
“Nice hotel, not overly luxurious but nice, good pool area but with construction, hard to appreciate. Disappointed in the poorly maintained beach area-but it isn't the greatest beach area on the island.” Apr 20, 2006 by
Carole from Grass Valley, CA
“Lobby and public areas nice. Entire floor and room were musty, mold in picture frames, wallpaper peeling. Obvious water damage throughout. Only one common area hot tub, and it wasn't filled. Swimming pools were cold, not as kid-friendly as most we've seen. Don't stay here until all renovations are completed - This hotel lodges patrons in areas "under construction".” Apr 13, 2006 by
Robert from Carlsbad, CA
“We were not told hotel was being remodeled. Only one of three pools was open. Spa was closed and will be for several months. Paths and landscape were incomplete; some areas had to be walked around. Some of the buildings were closed. The listing showed it was a Hilton, but the turnover had not happened yet. We were not informed there was a $7+ per day for parking until we arrived. The rate we paid was $160/day. A fair rate for this and the situations mentioned should have been around $120.” Apr 12, 2006 by
Kalina from San Diego, CA
“The staff was great, very friendly. However, the construction was not minor, it was everywhere from the pool closures to the stairways to the property to the room view. We got a nice room in the newer part of the hotel however our view was obstructed by huge construction supplies. Overall, the hotel was nice, would have been a lot nicer if there was not so much construction going on. If you are looking for a swim able beach, this hotel is also not a good choice, the water is not swim able, the beach is mainly more just to look at or walk on. I wish that we would have known that the construction was so extensive, the friendly staff was a nice touch.” Apr 5, 2006 by
Roger from Northampton, MA
“Except for the unavailability of the main pool (which was a major problem because the surf was too rough to swim at the beach), the hotel was very good.” Apr 1, 2006 by
Mike from Bellingham, WA
“Great central location on Kauai. Newly remodeled rooms.” Mar 5, 2006 by
Larry from Pearland, TX
“Overall good hotel. Ask for a remodeled room, they re a bit nicer, but all rooms appear to need new bedding as both rooms we were in had holes in the bedding. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Under construction at this time.” Oct 23, 2005 by
Kelly from Juneau, AK
“The beds were very uncomfortable, hard, springy. Ask for more padding. We didn't but should have the sunrise view is spectacular, the pools are great. The ahi salad in the restaurant was fantastic. The maid threw away some valuable paper work of mine that I accidentally left in the desk drawer when we changed rooms. I was furious that she didn't look to see what it was before she tossed it. Nice grounds and lobby. Generally very nice staff. Have to pay 7.28/day for parking, no way out of it. We brought our own malita filter and coffee for nice strong cup in the morning. Sunrise is so worth waking for. Close to Lydgate park for sunrise also. Great hotel. Needs softer beds. ” Sep 21, 2005 by
Dave from Tustin, CA
“Location was good, being mid island. Grounds were very good and the way the lobby faces the pool and beach. Very nice.” Sep 1, 2005 by
John from Vancouver, CA
“Great hotel, location, romantic getaway. Upgrade to the ocean view if you like to sit on your balcony. Otherwise, spend your time at the pool. It's not spotless but it is clean and the staff are very helpful. It's right on the beach but it's really rough water so no swimming. Only pet peeve is they charged for parking but didn't even register our plates - seems like free money for them. You will need a car since there's nothing around, but it is only 5 min to the airport.” Aug 21, 2005 by
Ed from Severn, MD
“The Radisson was a good value as Hawaii goes. Received a partial oceanview room. The property itself is nice, with no adjacent hotels/resorts. However, the room could use a remodeling: the carpeting was badly stained, the bedsheets slightly torn, and the bathroom a bit outdated. I would consider the Radisson again, ” Aug 13, 2005 by
John from Sugar Land, TX
“Great location and swimming pool complex.” Aug 6, 2005 by
Dan from Philadelphia, PA
“Right on the beach, excellent view. Did not have a king bed for us at first, but after we spoke to the manager, they upgraded us to a suite with an oceanfront view. Hotel was definitely better than expected.” Jul 6, 2005 by
Magdalene from Singapore, HI
“The staff are friendly and we have a comfortable stay there. The hotel even offered us a bottle of champagne for newly married couples, regardless of our reservation. We are appreciative of the gesture.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 5, 2005 by

“Great accomodations in paradise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nachos in the lounge were horrible. Taco Bell would have been better.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 18, 2005 by
Julie from Kailua, HI
“A great place to stay with friends or family. A perfect location to sightsee or just relax.” Jun 16, 2005 by
Frito from Phoenix, AZ
“This hotel is showing its age. It's pretty much held together with paint and putty. The staff were 2-star robots that just "did their job" and not much more.Buffet dinnner and breakfast looked appealing but tasted like it all came out of a can. We won't return. There are too many other hotels to choose from.” Jun 15, 2005 by
Stacy from Fullerton, CA
“Nice pool, great staff, but the rooms were bad. Dark and old and uncomfortable.” May 31, 2005 by
Rich from Berkeley, CA
“The Radisson is well located to tour the entire island. The property is very nicely done and the lobby feels authentic, open and inviting...not overdone or imposing. The service leaves something to be desired. Some staff were extremely friendly and professional.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 10, 2005 by
Anthony from Sacramento, CA
“This Hotel's location/staff/outdoor facility are great. However, the rooms failed to meet my minimum expectations. Being able to hear are neighbors normal conversations proved to be very intrusive (they were not loud-something to do with the ventilation). The plumbing waters temperature and pressure fluxuated so bad that it made impossible to enjoy a simple shower. Breakfast buffet was cold and greasy.” Mar 8, 2005 by
Beverly from Monterey, CA
“Loved the location! Beautiful facility. Met all our expectations. ALWAYS comes through with great value!Had trouble with getting our room. Arrived at 1:00 and checked in. Were told that our room would not be ready until 3:00. At 4:30 they still had no room available for us unless we paid more. After waiting this long and following direcctions to check back every 20 minutes, I paid the extra to get a room.I did not feel it was right to have to pay extra when the room we had reserved was not available.Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!” Jan 18, 2005 by
Robert from Lahaina, HI
“The Radisson Kauai Beach Resort represents an excellent choice for those combining business and leisure. It's close to the airport, centrally located, and offers a great amenity/price package. There is a caveat. Turning left out of the entrance toward Lihue in the morning is like playing Russian Roulette. Plan your days to avoid that experience.Nice people work and stay here.” Dec 16, 2004 by
Kenneth K. from Riverside “The staff was rude and unwilling to assist in standard matters. I've stayed at 2 star hotels on Kauai that had better amenities and a friendlier, more relaxing environment. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 2, 2004 by
Susan T. from Enfield Center “The outside of the hotel was beautiful with many pools, waterfalls, palm trees and the ocean. I liked having the free shuttle from the airport since I didn't have a car. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was expensive, yet mediocre. The torch lighting ceremony with hula dancers and music in the evening was entertaining. My bed was king size which was nice, but very uncomfortable. I had a bad backache after two nights on the bed. The sheets were clean, but old with a small stain, and a few holes. Other than that, I'm very pleased with my experience, and I was in Hawaii right on the beach, so how bad could it be!” Oct 5, 2004 by
George P. from Fresno “The hotel was extremely nice. The pools and beach front made the hotel even nicer. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would visit this hotel again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 24, 2004 by
Brandi B. from Lynden “The Radisson was beautiful! I especially loved the lobby and pool area. The rooms weren't as great as those areas. We received a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room which was only partial ocean view, but that was okay. The pool view probably would have been as good or better--it was that cool! There weren't too many bugs in the room, we saw 2 in three nights but they weren't roaches or anything that gross. We slept well and the A/C was great! The restaurant was awesome--the food and service was some of the best on the Island!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 16, 2004 by
“Stayed at the Kauai Radisson. The room was great, plenty big (king). We had a Garden Room, however, when we checked into our room we found we had a partial ocean view which exceeded our expectations. Pool area was super and the free 5pm to 6pm Happy Hour and Hula show were an unexpected bonus. Only negative was the parking fee of $6.50 per day, but one happy hour drink covered that. No hesitation to recommend this hotel to hotel to others.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
