Paul from Chicago,IL
“Though oceanfront, this hotel does not have a beach directly in front of it, but it is right next to it. This resort is massive, with beautifully manicured grounds, impressive lobbies, and two infinity pools (one for adults only). Though some may not like the tile floors in the rooms, it does help to keep the room clean and sand-free. The mattresses, though comfortable, are not Marriott's finest, and the TV's are not true flat screens.” Dec 3, 2009 by
Stephanie from Seattle,WA “Beautiful property with awesome sunset views. Restaurant and pool staff were accommodating and friendly.” Nov 27, 2009 by
Marlena from Hamburg,NY
“This is an amazing hotel. Just beautiful grounds, lovely lobby. The beach and infinity pools were beautiful. Extremely peaceful. The only negative was the tile floors. It was bad for noise conduction and when you came in from the beach the sand got all over the tile, then in the bed just everywhere. Because you don't have a broom or mop you were kind of just stuck with sand, but this was very minor concern.” Nov 23, 2009 by
Matt from Suffolk,VA
“All in all we got a good deal at a great hotel in a fantastic location. I'd go back in a heartbeat.” Nov 20, 2009 by
Kimberly from West Valley City,UT
“I would recommend it to anyone. It is a great destination resort. There is a children's pool area with watersides The waterside attendant is super nice! There is also a serenity pool for adults and couples who want to be romantic. The hotel is on the dry side of the island so the weather is usually fantastic. Don't forget your swimming suit!” Nov 20, 2009 by
Rob from Roseville,CA
“Clean nice great service.” Oct 9, 2009 by
Hector from San Mateo,CA
“ Its a very nice hotel, but the gym needs updating. ” Oct 5, 2009 by

“Great place. Staff guys are friendly and most helpful and go out of their way to assist you. Rooms are very well maintained. Well go back again!” Sep 28, 2009 by
Kathleen from Fremont,CA
“Beautiful location and property. Nice family pool area separate from the adult infinity pools. Rooms are stylish and comfortable. A coffee pot and empty refrigerator are provided. On site restaurant "Mala" excellent. Front desk reception overheard us discussing dinner reservations at Mala and offered us a $25 package that paid for our parking, two drinks, 20% off of our pool Cabana and 20% of our bill at Mala. Considering parking is $15 it was a good deal and politely offered.” Sep 21, 2009 by
Sarah from Beaverton,OR
“It was a wonderful hotel in the Wailea area. We would definitely return here again.” Sep 17, 2009 by
JY from Phoenix,AZ
“We loved the location. It was easy to get to, a short walk to the gorgeous Wailea Beach, and a very quick drive to all the eateries in Kihei. The staff were friendly. The infinity pool was really nice.” Sep 16, 2009 by
Curt from Las Vegas,NV
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Maui. The grounds were immaculate and the staff always helpful.” Sep 8, 2009 by

“Excelent service by the staff, clean and modern decor in the room, great pool, perfect location.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Rachel from Los Angeles
“We had a good size party stay at this hotel for my wedding. I tell you this hotel & it's staff makes sure you feel the Aloha spirit. Upon arrival my husband & myself were greeted with an amazing Platter of Truffles & Chocolate covered Strawberries. If you can make it up early (hard to do, the beds are amazing) you can snorkel right off there beach with an array of Tropical Fish & Sea Turtles!” Aug 30, 2009 by
Leigh Anne from Vicksburg
“Most disappointing! 3 trips to Hawaii, 2nd visit to Maui and this hotel was not a first class operation. From beginning of check-in the receptionist tried to convince. We were upgraded with our Platinum elite status, however not the case! Paid for upgraded refurbished room ocean view, only to find out later it was scheduled to be down for maintenance and repair the day we checked out. Rooms not cleaned well and late in the day. Too many extra charges, front gardens beautiful, very deceiving when you walk the rest of the property. Dead foliage abounds, housekeeping never left more than 2 towels and we repeatedly told them there were 3 in room. Floors not mopped, staff was far from accommodating. The valet group was the best of all. The concierge supposedly had all arrangements made prior to arrival (had email confirmations), none of them had been handled, we scrambled to make our own. Nothing inciting to stay here again. Please spend a little more and stay at the Four Seasons or Grand Wailea!” Jul 10, 2009 by
Bruce from Chatsworth,CA
“We've stayed here a number of times, and I don't like all of the extras that are now tacked on for parking, Internet access (even in lobby). Of course, you can always buy a package. However, this resort is one of the best overall in South Maui.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Patrick from San Mateo,CA
“Highly recommendable. Thank you Priceline for my treat.” Jun 30, 2009 by
from Houston,TX “It is a really nice resort. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The resort even includes part of the coastline. You can just walk to the beach without leaving the resort. What a nice stay.” Jun 30, 2009 by

“Fantastic hotel, would go back anytime.” Jun 16, 2009 by
Allie from Pensacola,FL
“The Marriott Wailea is now my new home away from home on Maui. The rooms are modern and cozy. Very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. The hotel grounds are impeccably manicured, the pools are heavenly, and the location along the Wailea coast is spectacular! The rates are much more reasonable than nearby resorts, yet many of the same amenities are offered.” Jun 12, 2009 by
Kimberly from Eagar,AZ
“Beautiful landscaping and scenery.” Jun 5, 2009 by
Crystel from Dayton,OH
“Beautiful outdoor areas to lounge at, offers free pineapple/sugar cane water (nice extra touch), great family friendly pools (one child pool, water slides), while others are for 18+ year old for the romantic/adults. Pretty landscaping, parking is $15 however, the resort fee was option (didn't choose to pay it). Held activities for families/those interested for free pretty views, nice walking path. Cleaning staff did try to clean our room while we were still there early in the morning which was slightly awkward had bugs night 1 of 5, cleaning staff got rid of them and they never came back, always cleaned well. Did have loud partying neighbors one night (memorial day) maybe 20 people associated with one room was slightly unhappy but they left after one night. Overall resort was very nice considering only paying a night especially compared to the other options, very pleased.” May 31, 2009 by
from Roseville,MN
“Great views, nice lobby and pool areas. Considering the price for the rooms, the cost of amenities were too high, and should be included. Service in rooms was very good.” May 24, 2009 by
Bea from Santa Fe,NM
“This hotel is fabulous.” May 6, 2009 by
Heidi from Phoenix,AZ
“This hotel had beautiful rooms with great views and wonderful amenities like multiple infinity pools. It definitely seemed to cater to couples, but I still had a pleasant experience as a member of a group of young single friends visiting the island. The hotel front desk staff was a little snooty but otherwise helpful in terms of recommending places to see and go. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would definitely go back.” Apr 29, 2009 by
Gerhard from Los Gatos,CA
“Very nice resort hotel. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Pricey restaurant and bars.” Apr 7, 2009 by
Al from Shasta,CA
“Overall we enjoyed our experience at the hotel. Its not one of the mega hotels in Wailea but I consider this a plus as it wasn't nearly as crowded. This is an excellent resort with 5 pools including one adults only pool. That was great. Pool service was excellent. No problem getting a drink or food. Of course expect to pay resort prices for food and drink.” Apr 3, 2009 by
Helen from Tucson,AZ
“I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. It is a beautiful hotel, although many people were there you could always find a spot to yourself to enjoy the ocean view. The bed was extremely comfortable.” Mar 11, 2009 by
Stephanie from Eltopia,WA
“The beds are super soft, which I love, but if you need a firm mattress, this is not for you. We had several ants in the room, but it is an island.” Mar 1, 2009 by
Shirley from Brier,WA
“Great location with ocean views and attractive grounds. Restaurants with affordable menus. The walking trail along the beach is spectacular.” Jan 30, 2009 by
Mark from Parkville,MO
“Excellent hotel and location. I'd stay there again!” Jan 3, 2009 by
Johnny from Diamond Bar,CA
“Wailea Marrriott is a great resort situated in a less touristy area of Maui in the town of Wailea. The room was beautifully appointed with with upscale fixtures in the bathroom. Easy access to the beach for snorkeling or just soaking in the sun. Do note that a $25 per night resort fee with be charged which includes self parking, free phone calls, and two bottles of water everyday.” Nov 29, 2008 by
JoAnn from Vero Beach,FL
“Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Jennifer from San Jose, CA
“Excellent hotel, location was not directly on the beach like the other hotels in Wailea, had to walk along a path to get to the beach. Hotel was waterfront but not beachfront.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Chris from Alhambra, CA
“We were a bit disappointed with this hotel. We probably would not go back. There are nicer, well-kept hotels with friendlier staff and more accommodations. The view was nice and the lobby area was beautiful, but they don't make up for the full experience.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Jason from Fremont, CA
“Location was difficult to beat, sandwiched between two beaches and adjacent to Wailea Shops. Dined on lanai fronting the ocean and beach. Clean, friendly, most importantly, relaxing.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Bob from Jacksonville, FL
“I really enjoyed this property. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating and I would highly recommend this place for a romantic or business getaway.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Francesco from New York, NY
“Really a very good choice and surprisingly good as a Marriott.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Mercy from Canyon Country, CA
“The layout of the hotel is magnificent. The staff is all very friendly except for that hostess in the main restaurant. I plan to come back to Maui at least once a year and would not mind staying at this hotel every time I come back.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Michael from Gig Harbor, WA
“Loved the pool, the beach, the mall. Didn't like the tile floors above us. You could hear people walking in their high-heels.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Jon from Brookline, MA
“Hotel is very nice and had a great location and beautiful facilities. Only downside was that our room had no view.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Chad from Southington, CT
“In my opinion this was not up to Marriott Resort standard with respect to room/services. Pros: Property was in a great location, however compared to the neighboring hotels this ranks on the bottom. Property was clean and really liked the pools! Cons: Room was Spartan with outdated TV, tile floors and lack of included services. especially for an extra $25/day resort fee, internet access for $15/day! Who does that anymore with no free WiFi in the lobby/common area! No beach access. To access beach it was 200-300 yards either way.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Linda from Seahurst, WA
“Staff at the Serenity pool were great. Pricey food and drinks, but for $25.00/day resort fee, you could get two $10.00 Mai Tais, parking (normally $15.00/day) and two free glasses of champagne with dinner.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Srini from Bellevue, WA
“No view/terrace view rooms.” Jul 19, 2008 by
Jack from Walla Walla, WA
“Lovely location in post Wailea, Maui's Beverly Hills. Quality Rooms, pools, lobbies, grounds. They do charge an extra $25 a day resort fee which is just a surcharge above the room charge. They charge extra for internet access as well.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Behdad from Novato, CA
“The hotel met my expectations and was everything that I had hoped for.” Jun 15, 2008 by
James from Redlands, CA
“Despite its age, the Marriott continues to be a pleasant, classy looking hotel. The rooms are kept in good shape as are the common areas. Ample parking (though far from rooms) and proximity to beaches are nice. Rooms are decent sized with a small living area. Beds were adequate, though too soft for my taste. The major negatives with the hotel are all on nickel-and-dime fees. There's pricey resort fee that includes complimentary parking, free water, and discounts for services I never use. Cabanas are $45/day "rental" fee; pool-side chairs have a large hedge blocking your view of the ocean to encourage rentals. Valet is $18, but you don't get back the "$15/day" parking fee that's included in the resort fee (so it's more like $33/day). The hotel itself does not have a beach. However, within a 5 minute walk in either direction are excellent beaches, maintained by other high-priced resorts. It is also next door to the Shops at Wailea, which gives you additional dining and shopping options within walking distance.” Jun 8, 2008 by
Janelle from San Diego, CA
“We had a great stay, the staff was friendly and the property was beautiful.”
