“Nice hotel, very spacious room. Nice views. However remote from the city. Room amenities are old. Bathroom leaks. No coffee maker or anything. Must pay for internet. Good for romantic getaway only.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Toni from Ewa Beach,HI
“The staff were very friendly and accomadating. We received a free upgrade and had a room with a jacuzzi off of the lanai. It was wonderful. The cove had calm sparkling blue water and there are other beaches to explore on the property. We loved the bar and even though the drinks were a little higher than at some of the hotels in Waikiki, they were huge. We also really enjoyed just watching the sharks, stingrays and fish in the ponds at the hotel.” Jun 27, 2009 by

“The open lobby with real Hammerhead Sharks and Stingrays just a few steps away was terrific. The pool area was beautiful, although not huge, but the real plus was being to walk directly onto a beautiful beach and play in the warm Hawaiian waters! The room had a great view of the ocean and was spacious. It could have used a little updating as it felt a little tired for such a high-end resort.” Jun 22, 2009 by

“I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.” Apr 21, 2009 by
Chris from Bushnell,FL “Nice location on the warmest and driest part of Oahu.” Nov 22, 2008 by

“We stayed at the Ihilani for our honeymoon, and were greatly disappointed. I have worked in the hotel industry for years, and do not feel that this hotel warrants it's price or rating. It's beach is a man-made lagoon, that is almost constantly overcrowded. The people who work at the hotel were very friendly. The location was pretty much as terrible as you can get on the tiny island, as it is not near any substantial attraction. The worst experience for us, was, I kid you not, finding dried blood on our sheets the morning we woke up to leave. We are 100% certain that the blood was not from us, as it was the brown color that occurs after washing. Bottom line is that there are numerous other hotels on Oahu, even within the Ko Olina resort area, that are much more functional and better priced. I would only recommend this hotel to a business traveler who has a strong desire to stay outside of Honolulu. I would not recommend it for families, honeymooners, or travelers who are used to getting top-dollar quality for the top-dollar prices.” Jan 8, 2007 by

“Absolutely gorgeous. We had a family emergency and they took excellent care of us. Staff was very kind and looked for ways to assist us. The only drawback was no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room. However, they did have an espresso bar downstairs and free coffee in the morning. Also, plan on using valet parking. The parking structure is not attached to the hotel. The walk is uphill and uncovered. Otherwise, the resort was beautiful, relaxing, and super clean and the staff was amazing. ” 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.Aug 29, 2006 by

“This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was clean with a wonderful bathroom. Even though we had only a partial ocean view, we thought it was spectacular. Waking up to the singing birds and crashing waves is the type of Hawaiian memory that we were looking for. It is a great place if you do not need the city/tourist feel of Waikiki.” 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.Jul 25, 2005 by

“ It is my favorite Oahu resort and I will stay again. Its remote location offers respite from Waikiki hustle, and it capitalizes on natural beauty of the area. I do hope that area does not become over built in future, will turn into another Waikiki, and so similarly undesirable.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Feb 18, 2005 by

“This is a beautiful place and a wonderful place to stay. We spent 10 days at the resort and loved the settings, landscaping and pretty rooms. We were upgraded and treated like royality. The only downfall is the food availability. Some of the food is fair, some is ok, and some is bad. The cost is very high and it would be ok if the food was good. On the night that we arrived, it was late so I went to the main restaurant and ordered salads and onion soup to take to the room. The price for 2 each of the above was over $35.00. The salad was fair to say the most but the onion soup tasted like water and we flushed it down the toilet. The only other complaint is the conditioner they put in the room for your hair. It will not come out. It is too thick.Overall, if there were some better places to eat, I would be back next year. We really had a wonderful time and the resort was the best that we ever stayed at, but unless you ate at the poolside grill, (hamburers, etc.); there was no good place to eat. Roy's , over on the golf course was good, but it is all alacarte and very expensive when they add it all up. You will love this resort, but not the food. They put a refrigerator in your room and they stock it with soda, etc. ($3.50 per bottle) and don't give you any room to keep your own food in it. If you ask the maid to unload the refrigerator, they charge you $25.00 to do so. They also charge 12.50 per day for a parking spot at the resort. It cost us $125.00 to park our car before the cost of anything else. Like I said, you will love the resort, but be prepared to spend a ton of money.” 10 of 11 people found this review helpful.Jan 17, 2005 by

“Location is ideal, away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu-Waikiki. Beautiful surroundings, the lagoon was right outside my window. A good walking path around the hotel property.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
