• This hotel was well worth the $15 a day resort fee.
• The service, food quality and portions in the hotel restaurants did not meet the price value the food item.

“The Grand Hyatt in Poipu is the ideal vacation place to stay. We stayed there for our honeymoon and had the most amazing time of our lives. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and family.”

• The pools were amazing. Hotel staff was extremely attentive.
• Food was ridiculously overpriced.

“The Grand Hyatt was definitely grand. From the start, we had amazing service. The hotel was beautiful. The pool area was amazing- by far the best pools we have seen, and we have stayed at a lot of hotels. There were always chairs, even when it was busy. The only thing that I would not consider 5 star are the rooms. The bed was comfortable and the room was decent-sized, but the TV was small and outdated, the bathroom was definitely not 5 start (double sink- good, but bathtub- bad). The towels were not nice at all. The restaurants were very expensive, and even though there was a number of them, we did not feel that they had enough variety.”

• It was unexpectedly fabulous; the property was absolutely beautiful.
• Can't think of anything.

“From my first steps into the lobby my experience at this facility was top notch. The views, pools, beach, restaurants, lounges, rooms were all much more than I expected and the price was unbelievable! I'd go back again in a minute, but this time I would stay much longer.”

“The Grand Hyatt on Kauai is absolutely opulent. And fittingly expensive. The rooms are nicely appointed and the grounds are spectacular. The pool/lagoon areas alone are worth the trip. The on-site restaurants are fantastic as well. The isolated nature of this resort (and most things on Kauai) makes the renting of a car a near-must. Be prepared to spend freely on this trip!”

• Beautiful hotel! I don't know if the hotel has been redone, but it looks brand new.
• Morning buffet could have been better.

“We went to Kauai on our honeymoon. And this hotel was half of the experience. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful hotels we've been too. The staff is friendly. The rooms are comfortable (seemed new) and the grounds were beautiful. The best hotel on the island if you are looking for romance.”

• Paradise!
• Dondero restaurant-food was fair. Quite a disappointment.

“Incredible place. Friendly, outgoing staff. The tide pools restaurant was fabulous-both the food and the setting (with waterfalls and surrounded by lagoons.) We were lucky to have gotten to stay there.”

• Great pools, swimming lagoons, and water slide by the ocean.
• Not really much of a swimming beach.

“We loved the Grand Hyatt! It was like paradise. The grounds are beautiful, and there are some great pools and a salt water lagoon to swim around in. Kids and adults can both have a blast on the 150 ft. Waterslide. The location is pretty central on Kuaui, though most of the island's action seems to be on the east and north shores. The Tide pools restaurant was great! We also did the luau which had a pretty good dinner show, but the food was not up to par for a resort of this caliber (most of the food was alright, but I have to say the kalua pig was excellent!).”

• The pool (if you can call it that) was out of this world!
• That I couldn't stay longer.

“The grand Hyatt Kauai was an absolutely fabulous resort. I loved the north shore of Kauai much better than the south, but this resort was truly spectacular. The pools and tide pools restaurant are not to be missed!”

• I liked everything this place had to offer.
• The laundry was a trek; however, the walk to the laundry facilities was peaceful, serene and lovely--dang, and I¿m a guy!

“There aren't enough words, or combination of words to describe this hotel. It surpasses even the imagination. One cannot go wrong staying at the grand Hyatt resort and spa. I've traveled frequently to HI and have stayed at other Hyatt locations and none come even close to matching the level of beauty, service and comfort of the grand Hyatt Kauai. Go! And then go again! Once you have done that, go once more to ensure you weren't dreaming. Most of all--enjoy the beauty of the island.”

• The grounds and pools are immaculate. Although there are 350 rooms you would never know it.

“A perfect 10! Romantic and upscale, but not stuffy. The pools are beyond gorgeous, the staff excellent. An absolute must stay for any visitor to Kauai. If you stay somewhere else, come walk the property so that you will know next time!”

• Simply Beautiful grounds and pools.
• Expensive food and drinks.

“Between the pools, beach, lagoon, and garden grounds the resort is simply paradise. There is really no need to go anywhere else on the island if you just want to relax in paradise. The rooms were beautiful and very clean! The staff and concierge service were super friendly and knowledgeable about things to do.”

• It is really worth.

“This is a resort, if you have a lot of money and like golf, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, they took over Shipwreck Beach which is a beautiful spot. The resort is so huge it makes it difficult to get anywhere. The bars and restaurants are very expensive. I do not think this place is worth paying so much for.”
