• Very pleasant room.
• There was quite a bit of maintenance noise in the daytime.

“The room was quite nice, with wicker furniture and a small balcony. Conveniently located for beaches (one is across the street), and some restaurants and shops are nearby.”

• Excellent view from the lanai, free parking.
• Room was a bit cramped, walls were thin.

“Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, upscale toiletries; we did hear the baby next door crying (connecting room with deadbolt, easy walking distance to shops, restaurant and beach.”

• No attractive view from the room.

“Stayed this hotel for 1 night and we did not really enjoyed the time in the hotel room. No attractive view from the room (actually we only can see hill with dead or dried grass with no ocean view) however, the hotel had a good parking space and room was okay.”

• Location good.
• No restaurant or room service. Floor numbering was unusual.

“The hotel is okay for business travelers, but a little pricey for what you get. Nothing great about the hotel. It was clean, but it uses standards keys that are heavy and probably costs a lot if lost. Also, separate keys are required to get into the building, and enter the room. Also to access the pool. Check-in area is very tiny and very small vehicle waiting area. No elevators in parking garage, so the suitcase needed to be carried down 2 flights of stairs.”

• Cheaper than other choices.
• Rooms were difficult to get to.

“If you are looking for a cheap room with high speed wireless internet in the room, then this is the place. Not the best location, not the biggest rooms, but it was clean.”

• Pillows, limited desk hours, unending deposits, wet carpeting.

“Half condo residents & half room rentals, this property is best for economy travelers that want close convenience to both Kihei restaurants and the resort area of Wailea.”

• Poor Service and Rude Customer service.
• Room not Cleaned. Customer Service poor.

“Arrival . First Impression was bad. Receptionist was in Bad Mood, very Rude. I was accused of two Sets of keys to the room and only given one. Argument pursued with receptionist Will never use that Hotel.”

• Convenient to beach, grounds were very nice.
• Dated furniture, dirty carpet, needs updating.

“After staying at the westin Kannapolis resort for 7 nights which was beautiful and clean, the Maui banyan was disappointing. It was dated, had very faded pictures on the wall, outdated and cheap lighting fixtures, Nasty blankets and bedspreads, air conditioner unit in the wall. Granted we didn't stay in the room except to sleep but it was just shabby. ”

• Location and convenience to ocean and resort facilities and room amenities (2 baths and washer \dryer).
• Kitchen facilities needed repair at sink and counter area.

“Overall, a reasonably good facility, but obviously in need of some repairs because of age of property. Our unit was very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the availability of the laundry machines, the full kitchen (some pans need replacement) and the 2 baths.”

• Good location. Beach is right across from the hotel. Front staff was nice.
• Lady at the activity desk was not friendly at all and was not willing to help.

“Stayed there for a night with my family. Partial ocean view so it was nice. Rate was reasonable from the cleanliness and the location. Front staff was great to us upon check-in and -out but the lady at the activity desk wasn't at all. My b/f went to ask her some questions but she was not willing to help him but told him the check-out time was 12 when it was only 10:30. I would recommend the hotel for a family with small children but recommend not to go to the activity desk for information.”

• Very pretty, close to the beach and town.
• No trash cans in the rooms at all, twin beds only.

“Very beautiful landscape and surroundings, great location to beach, nice pools and spa.”

• The beach was across the street and there was a marked cross walk.

“We had a great stay at the Maui Banyan. We arrived quite late and the security guard was able to direct us to our room and parking immediately. The room was very clean - and the a/c worked great.”
