• Fold out couch, and kitchenette.
• Spaghetti night on Tuesdays.

“Excellent beach, view is awesome. Rooms were spacious, and comfortable. Personal was helpful and friendly.”

• The price was very good.
• It was old, it was more like a motel, complete with vhs to rent for 5.99 all very old movies.

“The place was clean. Much older than I expected. Very hard to find parking and seemed more like 1.5 -2 stars. I had a fellow business partner and the hotel only had 1 king bed. We had to sleep together and I did not expect that. The location was fine but it was very clear some of the villas are lived in or more upgraded. It made our room seem cheap. Not a bad room just less than I expected.”

• I was charged per day maintenance fee after arriving.

• The grounds/landscaping were very nice & well kept.
• Front desk people were not very friendly.

“It was a pleasant stay. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the full kitchen was an added bonus.”

• Excellent beach access. Good service.
• Room seems a little bit old.

“The hotel is right on the beach that is an excellent swimming and snorkeling places. Staffs are very friendly. The room we stayed (studio room) has full kitchen equipment, which is very convenient. The room decoration is a little bit out of date. But never the less our stay is comfortable.”

• Rooms had a cheap motel feel, 2.5 stars is very deceptive!

“The hotel has a great location with respect to Lahaina attractions, but the rooms that we stayed in were terrible - with non-functioning light fixtures, non-functioning High Speed Internet (even though they charge a facilities fee), dirty carpets, musty smells and a very poor quality bed. My wife and I were sorely disappointed by rating this hotel as 2.5 stars.”

• The beach in front was great! Close to black rock as well.
• Response to requests to front desk on one occasion.

“For the price, I found this hotel to be great. I was upgraded for free to a studio with full kitchen. Rooms were larger than I thought. Overall I would recommend this hotel for the price.”

• Quiet, friendly and easily accessible.
• For the price very satisfactory.

“After a very long flight and late arrival, the staff was friendly efficient and accommodating. We were exhausted and very glad to have a clean large room with a very comfortable bed.”

• Spacious, great location.
• A little old.

“This is a good place to stay if traveling with a family. Rooms are spacious and well-accommodated The villas are a little old in comparison to some of the newer resorts next to it. Overall, I enjoyed my brief stay.”

• This was a beautiful condo with ocean view! I loved the unit and all the conveniences; snorkeling, pools, dining, BIG BATHS.
• It did not have a hot tub or spa that was needed after a day of biking.

“We have been to many hotels and condos on the island. We fell in love with this one particularly because of its privacy and comfort. Many previous occupants wrote in its memory book expressing the same feelings as us. Nice beach and train/trolley nearby.”

• No wireless capability in the room, but great reception in lobby.

• Room had bugs and had not been cleaned properly.

“Our room had dead bugs on the bathroom counter and had not been vacuumed. When we called the front desk complain, they sent someone with a vacuum. This person simply picked the dead bugs up with a tissue and did not clean the countertop. We then asked for another room and were told they were full. Only when we said we would just leave and go somewhere else were we offered another room. No apology was ever offered for the unclean room.”

• Room had mouse droppings behind the coffee maker, good thing we do not drink coffee.

“The villas are all privately owned, so they are all different. Resort Quest manages about 200 of the villas. Room 150 was just ok, good thing I did not spend much time there. It was on Kaanapali Beach.”

• $6.00 per day parking fees.

“This hotel is an acceptable tourist hotel. The wireless internet access in the lobby was great and fast. The worst was the mandatory paid daily parking and local phone service.”

• great location with a short walk to a very nice beach
• the decoration of the room was a bit dated but it was clean and well maintained

“The villas appears to have a mixture of long-term residents (owners) and hotel tourists. It was well maintained both inside and on the grounds. There is a nice restaurant on the beach with reasonable prices. We were given an upgrade to a room with a full kitchen, but were asked to move after 2 nights. It was worth it. The decoration of the second room was much nicer (and more up to date) than the first. It was great having a kitchen. Maui Kaanapali Villas is on the end of Kaanpali Beach, one of the nicest beaches in West Maui. The hotel staff said they were at 100% occupancy, but the beach did not seem crowded. I rented snorkeling gear from the hotel and walked about 15 minutes down the beach to Black Rock. The snorkeling is right off the beach. There were about 10 different types of fish and also large sea turtles.”

“I enjoyed the overall ambiance of the hotel, though my room was extremely small. Even though this was Maui, I was expecting a larger room for the price.”
