• It was so nice! Very relaxing! Nice, clean. Ocean view. Liked the washer and dryer.
• The only thing was that the shower head had very little pressure making it difficult to shower the sand off.

“It was awesome! It was right on the beach/ocean and we had an awesome view from our room. Our room was nice, clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly. I would absolutely recommend staying there.”

• Common areas, staff and restaurant location were all very nice.
• Rooms need to be updated with comfortable pillows, beds and kitchen needs to be updated.

• The staff was exceptionally good and kind.
• The first room had mold in the air conditioning unit, so we moved.

“Our stay at the resort was lovely and relaxing, it had all the amenities we needed. The grounds were well kept and the koi pool was beautiful. The view from our condo was breath taking. I would stay there again.”

• Nice big new kitchen. Views were nice. We were upgraded to 2 bedroom suite.
• Bathroom wasn't very clean/door to bedroom didn't close.

“Hotel was overall nice. Beach wasn't good for swimming or snorkeling. Too many rocks. Good place to stay if you don't mind going somewhere else for beach activity.”

• Roomy, clean, good location.
• Rooms need some remodeling; kitchen was not well equipped, charged $9/day for parking.

• Hotel room price was reasonable, the pool and beach were terrific. The staff generally tried to accommodate guest needs. The bed was comfortable.
• The hotel/condo unit in immediate need of an update, especially the 1970s style bathroom. We could hear the banging as renovations were ongoing.

“Renovations are ongoing at this hotel and this should be known to the traveler before the room is booked and paid for in full. The banging two units down were awful to listen to. The front desk offered to move our room but we decided to stay as we were assured that they were not going to work on the weekend. The other issue with the room is that you can hear everything outside from the delivery trucks to guests/staff having a conversation. The staff tried to meet our needs and the pool and beach were terrific. Although after a rain storm the water was brown in front of the hotel. The storm drains enter a canal behind the hotel which enters into the ocean in front of the hotel. On a clear day snorkeling in front of the embassy suites next store was great. The hotel refunded our parking fee due to the noise inconvenience.”

• Excellent grounds very peaceful with great views of the ocean.
• Rooms though clean and light starting to show ages.

“Very surprised with quality of room and view of ocean. Lobby staff very friendly and pleasant to work with. Grounds were well groomed and peaceful to walk in. Would certainly consider a return to this hotel in future visits.”

• It's location on the beach.

“Very fine resort with all amenities necessary for family, romance, or leisure. Expansive grounds with 3 pools and plenty of room for sun. Room was nicely decorated. Only down side was some aging appliances and furniture.”

• Outdated, cockroaches in bathroom, charged for in-room safe!

“My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week; Mon-Fri. I travel 15-20 days/month for a living and stay in hotels ranging from 2-4 stars so I have a feeling of what to expect from a 3 star hotel. Personally, I would rate this hotel a solid 2.5 stars, maybe a 3. I can see its attractiveness to families because our 1 bedroom 'standard' was essentially a 700 sq/ft. 1 bedroom apartment with the garden view, complete with kitchen and washer/dryer, which is nice if you don't want to eat out all the time. It had a dining table and fold-out couch. The rooms are a little out of date and our bedroom had very poor lighting. My wife noticed a cockroach crawling in the bathroom one morning of our stay. I disliked the nickel & dimming by the hotel. You have to pay $9/day for parking, and even $1.50/day just to use your in-room safe!”

• Grounds where beautiful
• Staff and housekeeping not attentive enough. Not cleanliness enough for me. The price was too high.

“Staff need to be more attentive! Rooms need to be kept cleaner and housekeeping staff need to learn how to clean better. Had to pay for safe in room whether used or not - not relayed to us. Also parking should be free for patrons staying at the hotel. More things for children to do. Gifts shops staff should be more friendlier and not regretting every moment they are working. My first trip to Maui. I would not stay in this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Great location, updated rooms with good view and good service.
• I don't have any complaints about this hotel.

“Overall a great trip for the money. My unit had a nice kitchen which was fully equipped. Maid service came daily, but I never them working positive). Everything was clean and the pool area was nice, right on the beach with bar service and a place to eat lunch. I travel a lot and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

“Most of the advertised amenities were unavailable. The main pool was closed, the water in the wading pool was milky white, the spa was cold, the masseuse was offsite, beach access was strictly limited, and the grounds were not as nice as I would expect of a 4-star hotel. The room had been cleaned, but was in poor condition. The sleeping area had water stains on the walls and ceiling. The kitchen faucet was nearly inoperable. The bathroom had peeling paint, color worn tiles, very low water pressure, and no ventilation fan. The AC system made enough noise to make sleeping difficult. I would not recommend this hotel.”
