“Great for short stay, pretty expensive but the staff and the view from our room made it worth it. Upgrade to the Harbor View rooms, really great view.” Aug 26, 2008 by
Doyoung from Seoul, NY
“Mountain view is not good. But, I recommend sea view or harbor view to a romantic traveler.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Judy from New York, NY
“The location was perfect and the service was even better! Great breakfast.” Jul 10, 2008 by

“Overall, JW Marriott is my favorite hotel in Hong Kong.” Apr 25, 2008 by
Mark from Eugene, OR
“Service at this hotel is fantastic. The views from the rooms are good, but not great. Be warned, as construction around the hotel continues, there will eventually be no view of the harbor. This could take a few years however. The fantastic service more than makes up for any lack of view. Plus you have the amazing Pacific Place mall under the hotel, with shops like Prada, Zara, Gucci, etc. You can also walk between the three hotels in the complete (JW Marriott, Island Shangri La and Conrad) without going outside. The Sunday brunch was the best Ive ever had. Piper Heideseck champagne and plenty of caviar.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Tony from Mill Valley, CA
“Great hotel, but still in the 1990's.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Tinpo from Hong Kong, NY
“Clean and comfortable room with separate bathtub and shower. But, the room size is too small for a Marriott standard.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Rick from Toronto, ON CA
“% Star Luxury in every respect.” Jan 21, 2008 by
Mark from Vancouver, BC CA
“Perfect place for a family. This hotel (with views) is directly connected to Pacific Place Mall, and most importantly, the MTR, which leads you to anywhere in Hong Kong. The hotel room is clean and complimentary bottled water and fruits are a welcome after a long day of shopping/activities. My 18--mo. old enjoyed the bed very much! The concierge is very efficient and courteous. The buffet at Marriott Cafe was spectacular and was reasonably priced. We'll be coming back to this hotel for sure!” Jan 20, 2008 by
Jason from Mamaroneck, NY
“Good enough, certainly, but not a 5 star hotel.” Jan 19, 2008 by
Reviewer from Dublin, IL
“Good location, handy for MTR Admiralty station. On the negative side, room was noisy due to renovation work at the hotel.” Jan 7, 2008 by
Richard from Hillsborough, CA
“We generally enjoyed our stay, but the absence of any thermostatic control of room temperature really diminished our comfort. There is a thermostat in each room, but in 2 different stays using 2 rooms each time (i.e., 4 different rooms), the only choices were to put the thermostat at 30 or above (86 Fahrenheit) and have the room get too hot (the heat never shut off), or to put the thermostat at 29 or below and have the room get too cold (the cooling never shut off). Thus, "climate control" in all 4 rooms was strictly manual. Each time we complained, they immediately responded, but what they did was to send up the maid, who didn't understand a thing. Finally we gave up and turned the heat on manually. When it got too hot, we turned it off. Not your typical 4-star performance!” Jan 6, 2008 by

“Good location, very convenient to catch MTR. Comfortable bed and linen.” Dec 1, 2007 by

“Great location, friendly staff and great buffet.” Nov 24, 2007 by

“Great hotel, 5 star quality, excellent service.” Jun 6, 2007 by
Glen from Stewartville, MN
“From the moment I had arrived at the hotel, someone was there to greet me and take my bags to the check-in desk. The check-in process was quick and pleasant. My room was kept extremely clean and the bowl of fruit with an orchid flower was a nice touch. In terms of location, this was perfect for me as I preferred to stay away from the mass crowds over in colon. Most of my personal activities took place on Hong Kong island. The other thing I really liked was being connected to pacific place shopping centre and also the admiralty mar station (downstairs). Would I come back? Absolutely! The service was one of the most attractive components of my stay.” Aug 23, 2006 by
Bill from Moorpark, CA
“Excellent hotel with great views and a great location. The staff was friendly, their English was great, the room was clean, the view was wonderful. The location couldn't be any better! The hotel is situated on top of a large shopping center with several restaurants, food court, etc. and it is also connected to the metro station (Admiralty station) and right next to Hong Kong park. Between the metro access and the central location, you can get anywhere in Hong Kong very effectively.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 11, 2005 by

“Excellent location above Pacific Place Mall. Next to Conrad and Shangri-La hotels. 10 Min walk to heart of Central District (Star Ferry) or to Peak Tram. F&B outlets are high quality if a bit pricy at times (this is Hong Kong). Rooms are comfortable with modern cons.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 19, 2005 by

“Great hotel. Nice rooms, professional staff, good location, great lobby lounge, and pretty nice gym. Expensive, but probably a better bargain than the Conrad next door. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 30, 2005 by

“The service was outstanding from check-in to checkout. Staff was both helpful and polite. I was able to get a late checkout and use the pool for the afternoon due to a late flight. They also upgraded me to a harborview room. The room was spacious and the hotel was very conveniently located above the Pacific Place mall and the Admiralty metro stop.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 6, 2005 by

Teresa C. from Pasadena “A great 5-star hotel in a convenient location; direct access to shopping (Pacific Place) and the Admiralty subway station; very close to the Hong Kong Park (a real sanctuary). All the hotel staff I've encountered were helpful and courteous. I was treated well- from free bottled water, welcome tea to daily fruit bowl. The room was not huge but good size by Hong Kong standards. Fit 2 (comfy) double beds well. Large windows with draperies controlled by one push buttons on the bedside panel. Marble bathroom with single vanity, but separate bath and shower. Also had a pretty nice swimming pool and deck.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.
