• The staff was most helpful and accommadating.
• The location was a little tricky.

“The room they first assigned us was not ready or it had been overlooked by staff. The door was ajar and a plate outside the door, but quickly they moved us to another room with an upgrade.”

• Maintenance had broken tools. e was embarrassed. Buy him some!

“Great hotel, great staff. Very comfortable room. I will stay here every time I'm in town. Location is super convenient. Our air conditioner was broken, but they quickly helped us to another room, apologizing the whole time. Absolutely nothing to complain about.”

• The jacuzzi tub in the room was awesome.
• The hairdryer was broken.

“The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are lovely. All of the staff were professional and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I think Priceline is great. It was the first time I used it and I can't wait to try it again.”

• Noisiest air conditioners I've ever seen. Terrible design.

“A nice clean and comfortable location at a good price. My only complaint is the room air conditioners that are installed beside the bed. They have no ductwork attached and just roar away a few feet from your head. Finally found a set of earplugs and used them to get some sleep.”

• $9.95 for wireless. Should be free. Would not choose again as a result.

• We liked having a Panera next door.
• We didn't like it because the horse tours didn't pick us up at the hotel. We had to drive out of the way to catch the tour bus.

• Clean.

“I was greeted by a friendly clerk and given warm cookies. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The TV wasn't working properly and they sent someone up immediately and then moved us to another room when the TV still didn't work. The bathroom was roomy and laid out nicely and had updated amenities. At check out the clerks were so friendly and truly made me feel I was welcome there.”

“Great hotel! Very modern, and nicely decorated in the lobby and common area. Hotel bar with flat screen TV's. Rooms were very clean, and also modernly decorated. Beds super comfortable. Staff very friendly. On our last of 5 nights, we had a problem with our heat, but called and they came up in 2 min to fix it, and when that still didn't work, gave us another room that was actually an upgraded one. No problems at all. Tubs with whirlpool jets. Good exercise room. I'd definately stay there again!”

• The parking is very inconvenient.

“The staff at Doubletree Guest Suites was very friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed, and clean. It is very easy to get anywhere in Lexington from this location - just off New Circle Rd. on Richmond Rd. I was visiting the UK area, and it was a very short drive.”

• Large Jacuzzi tubs in every suite; all-suites; fresh baked cookies upon arrival; excellent customer service.
• Nothing.

“This hotel is great. Convenient to shopping and downtown. All suites with huge Jacuzzi tubs in each suite. The customer service was excellent! We will definitely be back there.”

• It was pretty.
• We had no heat and
  the manager did not call me as promised.

“The hotel was very pretty and staff seemed nice upon our arrival. Unfortunately our room (non-smoking) smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we entered. The housekeeping staff came up and sprayed something all over the carpet as a solution to the problem telling me it wasn't smoke because it was a not smoking room. The furnace unit for the room did not work. They tried to reset the unit and that didn't work. They sent the security guards up to try to get it running and that didn't work. After 2 hours they sent up one space heater and some extra blankets. The space heater did not have the capacity to heat a room that size. I feel like they should have offered us a free nights stay. They did give us free breakfast upon my request.”

• I liked the effort at charm, which mostly succeeded. Parking was easy. All in all a great value for the price.

• Nice rooms.
• No waiter or bartender even tho front desk said they were open.

“No one working the bar or restaurant area even tho I did ask the front desk if it was possible to get something to eat and drink yet and he assured me there was. Did find a nice local bar and grill that the hotel did not tell me about when I asked about a sports bar being close.”

“The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The fitness room was above average but we were disappointed the pool was outdoors and unuseable in November. The in room whirlpool was a nice touch.”

• This hotel is close to downtown Lexington area.
• The two public computers were not working. It is always nice to have a public computer to check E-Mails and for printing boarding passes.

“This hotel is hard to find especially at night. It is located in a shopping center behing Sonic Burger and across the street from McDonalds, this information would have been very helpful when I was looking for this hotel. The room was nice and the hotel staff very knowlegeable about the area. It is a good hotel to stay at if you would like to be close to downtown Lexington. Texas Roadhouse is very close if you looking for a good ribeye.”

• They have just went through a complete make over it's great.
• Nothing would stay there again and again.

“The hotel was great, new make over that is really beautiful. The staff greeted us with smiles and was ready to help us in any way we would need. The room was really nice. Never eat breakfast chose to sleep in that morning.”

“Overall it was a great hotel experience with modern rooms and bathrooms. However, the smoke alarm in our room went off at 1 a.m. and they offered no apologies! They would work on the staff hospitality part, but the amenities were very nice!”

“This is absolutely the nicest hotel. The suite was tastefully decorated, staff was friendly and accommodating, not a speck of dirt or trash anywhere, room had two flat panel TVs, huge tub and the bedding was beyond comfortable. Would Highly recommend!”

• Kindness of the staff (desk staff).
• The maid never came back to clean our room or bring towels.

“Hotel was nice and the front desk staff was very nice. The hotel though, I would not have rated as a 3-4 star hotel. It was more like a 2.5 star. The restaurant and bar wasn't open all day. We prefer to eat at whatever time we like and the restaurant was closed from 1:30 until 5:00 and the Tiki bar in the open center of the hotel didn't start serving drinks until 4:00 pm. We were in town for a concert. We are not big into partying, but since we were on a mini vacation, it would have been nice to eat or drink when we chose. On the other hand, there is a fantastic sushi/Japanese restaurant in the parking lot - Miyako, and a Bob Evans across the street.”

• Beautiful room--friendly staff upon our check-in.
• Waitress in restaurant a little abrupt.

“We had a very nice young man to greet and take care of us promptly at check-in. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant the following morning--we were told to seat ourselves, but when we started to sit down the waitress told us that table was dirty and were there only two of us--we said yes, so she then seated us against a wall --a little crowded.”

• Friendly staff. We had a lot of interaction with the maintenance staff.
• The room was too hot, the climate control did not work well. The front desk staff did not take care of the problem while we were out as requested.

“The hotel was in a convenient location. Staff was friendly. Our room was sweltering and the air conditioning did not work from the first night there. In the morning we made a complaint and were told that it would be taken care of. Later when we returned to our room hours later the problem was still there and the room was still hot. A switch of rooms still had the same poor climate control problem until a maintenance man came to the room two more times.”

“Upon arrival I found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. We were greeted with warm cookies from the front desk. Our room was changed from a king to two doubles without a problem. Rooms were very clean and spacious. My wife and kids loved the huge bath tub.”

• Central location-lots of nearby restaurants-comfortable.
• Parking tight.

“The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious with a whirlpool tub. Lobby and halls were clean and nicely furnished. Bed was very comfortable and air-conditioning worked well. Hotel was quiet. Only downside was the ability to find a parking spot.”

• Overall the hotel was great. The rooms clean and comfortable. Very good overall.
• Not much selection on TV channels. That was the only short fall at the hotel.

“The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel property was clean and well maintained. There was some work being done that blocked access to the pool area, but that was minor and to be expected in such a well maintained hotel. In all, I would look forward to staying there again if in the area.”
