• Hotel staff was very helpful and the room service was great!
• While the rooms are nice, the maintenance upkeep is sub-par in my professional opinion.

“I was awe-struck by the quality of this hotel. The hotel staff was very accommodating and housekeeping was very helpful. Every morning, I was greeted by smiles. The accommodations are sincerely like home away from home. You realize you're in a hotel when you stay here, but you can soon forget that by how comfortable the rooms make you feel. The location is very essential in my opinion. Driving in and around the city is extremely easy and traffic jams do not last long at all, even in peak hours. The hotel itself is within 1 mile's driving distance of at least 25+ restaurants, a grocery store, drug store, and car wash. As for attractions, just about everything you could dream of seeing is within an hour's drive. Bourbon and whiskey distilleries, wineries, horse farms, museums.”

• I was happy with the extra pillows on the bed and the comfortable mattress.
• The air conditioning was extremely noisy and did not cool as expected. Carpeting under the furniture needed vacuuming.

“The bed was very comfortable with several extra pillows. The room had a ceiling fan, an unusual touch, which was useful due to the poor performance of the room air conditioner which was also extremely noisy. The staff was competent and helpful. The location was convenient for us. Rooms appeared to have been relatively recently refurbished. Very few people appeared to take advantage of the on-site restaurant, perhaps because of the extremely high prices.”

“Great location for getting to places in and around the Lexington area. The interior New Orleans motif is very attractive. Exceptionally friendly and professional staff. Rooms were very quiet - did not hear water running noises from other rooms. Highly recommend!”

• Sheets were very stiff.

“We were expecting the room to be a suite type room. We had a room with two queen beds but that is not what we saw on the internet. The sheets were uncomfortable but the pillows were fine. The overall appearance is nice but not what we expected for a 3.5 star hotel.”

• The location of the hotel was great for us. We have 2 boys in college at EKU and we spent the weekend with them at Keen land. It is so very comfortable.
• The parking was sometimes a problem. It was a busy weekend and we were out late and the parking spaces were all just about gone, congested area.

“The hotel is my favorite in the Lexington area. I come to Lexington very often with my family and with girlfriends twice a year. We always try to get this hotel. It has everything that we need, and we love the rooms. My husband and I just had a room. The girls and I have always had a suite. I love this place.”

• Parking could have been improved; minor maintenance door knob in b/room loose, phone in sitting room did not work.

“Over all a nice hotel, but for a Sheraton suite, but needed to take care of some maintenance issues. Surprised as a star wood customer couldn't get any points on card.”

• It was gorgeous and a terrific value.
• Parking area was kind of scary when the lot is full and you have to park out back.

“Very unique and eye-catching lobby. Room was great size and whirlpool bath was outstanding. Staff was extremely pleasant. Overall an A+.”

• The atmosphere in the hotel was nice- very different.
• The beds in the room need to be updated.

“The hotel was nice overall. However, I did request a non-smoking room and received a smoking room- with no other rooms available. In addition, the bed in the room was not very comfortable. The mattress was not a pillow top- and the linens need to be upgraded.”

• Location. Location. Location. Separate sitting area.
• Needs updated. Our room was noisy (furnace) and drafty in bathroom (under tub).

“Overall we were pleased. The location is very convenient to everything we wanted to do. It needs some sprucing up and some updates like the refrigerator needed defrosted or replaced. It didn't keep things very cold. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of pillows. We were there on a cold weekend but the bathroom floor was very cold. There was a draft coming from under the bathtub. It was more of a 31/2 star experience rather than a 4 star.”

• This hotel accepts pets. Unlike many upscale hotels.

“I will definitely stay here again. It is convenient to shopping, food and it is 1/8th of a mile to the Lexington by-pass (new circle rd.)Which will take you around the city? At this hotel you are less than 10 minutes to downtown. ”

• Nothing. The hotel did not live up to its description, plus it could not provide me with the room I reserved.
• I did not stay at the Sheraton because the hotel could not provide me with the suite I requested. The hotel was sold out.

“This hotel did not provide me with a clean quality room. I did not stay a single night at the Sheraton because it did not have the suite it promised me when I made my reservation.”

“This was a very nice hotel that was not able to fulfill their promise to me regarding a room. When I called to define exactly the room I wanted they told me it would be available. Upon arrival I learned that the room I requested over the phone was not available and they put us in a handicap room.”

• Good location.
• Room stank of cigarette smoke had to clean all my clothes after the stay. Placed us in a hard to access room.

“The stench of stale cigarettes permeated our clothes after one night in this room. We were not given the option of a non-smoking room. Although the hotel was not busy they put us in a room as far away from the lobby as possible. Additionally, they charge for internet access and even accessing toll free telephone numbers.”

• It was elegant with out being stuffy. Bed was extremely comfortable.....bed linens were soft and comfortable.

“Location is a plus and breakfast buffet is great. The rooms I've stayed in are all old and in need of updating and or repair. Nice size whirlpool tub, too bad it looked dirty, we did not use it. ”

• Convenient location, comfortable bed.
• Wireless was not free, room wasn't nice enough for the price.

“Adequate and nice in some ways, but worn carpet and bad room design make it less than wonderful. Each room is a suite, but the bedroom area is only separated by louver doors and is open at the ceiling, which does not stop sound from traveling. So, if one person wants to sleep and the others wish to watch TV or talk, it's impossible. The pool was OK and the in-room Jacuzzi tub was cool, but a pain to regulate on temperature and took several minutes to fill. Overall, it just wasn't impressive.”

• The HUGE in-room Jacuzzi.
• The room's only closet is located IN the bathroom

“The Sheraton Suites hotel is VERY conveniently located for fast access both to downtown Lexington and other parts of town via New Circle Road, which the Sheraton property adjoins. Its design and style are New Orleans French-Quarter inspired, though there's enough horse-motif art (paintings, statuary by the elevators) to make it distinctly Kentuckian. The impressive lobby is a vast, five-story atrium with bar and restaurant, and the suite has a VERY large Jacuzzi, a living room, two TV's, and quite comfortable bedding. The fitness center has two high-tech treadmills, a weight machine, a stair-stepper, and a stationary bike, though they are all rather crowded together in a relatively small space. There's an outdoor pool too, not yet open during our stay. Numerous restaurants are quite nearby, with Panera Bread, a Japanese restaurant, and Applebee's sharing the same parking lot with the Sheraton itself. A steak house and Perkins Pancake House are also nearby, along with various fast food outlets. Highly recommended!”

• Lobby/restaurants nicely decorated. The main road and highway is easily accessible from the hotel.
• It looks nice from outside and from the lobby but the rooms smell bad and are old.

“We were excited about the hotel from the pictures on the website. Even when we got there, it looked great from outside and in the lobby area. When we got to our room on a NON SMOKING Preferred floor. We walked in and immediately identified the smell of smoke. Someone had obviously smoked in there and the hotel didn't do a very good job of covering it up. We went back to the front desk and they gave us another room. The second room smelled just as bad!!! They sent someone up to check it out, and put us in a third room. The third room smelled better but still musty. When getting ready to go to bed, I turned the A/C on and realized the unit had a couple screws missing, so it was making loud annoying banging/vibrating noises. So I had to sleep with no AC. Aside from the smells and the broken AC unit, the room itself was spacious and there was a hot tub in the bathroom, that was pretty cool, even though I was exhausted after the whole ordeal and didn't use it. Overall, the room served its purpose, and maybe we just had some bad luck with rooms that night. But based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else.”

• The hotel was very well located and the common areas were beautiful.
• The climate control was awkward and the bathrooms were well worn.

“Overall the hotel was a very good! It was located in the south-east side of Lexington and provided many amenities. The bathrooms were well worn and could have used some updating. The Bathtub is a Jacuzzi and it does require some nimbleness to climb in for a shower.”

• Clean, quiet, attractive interior.
• Not too convenient to the business venue we were visiting.

“The hotel was clean, quiet, beds very comfortable, the oversized Jacuzzi tub a welcome addition. It is located in an area that has many restaurant choices, as well as shopping and a movie theatre nearby. Parking is a bit of a problem, as spaces are limited. All rooms are suites, a refrigerator was supplied, but no microwave. It was a pleasant visit, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.”

• The wall between the bedroom and living room should be extended to the ceiling for privacy.

“The hotel had less amenities than other hotels of this same price range. For example, there was no gym or indoor pool. The location was convenient with many restaurants and businesses nearby. Also, there is a nearby highway that is connects the location to many attractions.”
