• Comfortable beds! Large hotel with lots of amenities and easy access to entrances.
• Small towels, no light bulbs at bedside, short-staffed at check-in.

“The evening was quiet and the beds comfortable. Lighting was poor to non-existent and staff did not enforce the rule about parents accompanying children in the game room. We were nearly run over by running children. Otherwise, facilities were nice.”

• It was quiet and the staff were very friendly. Room service was excellent.
• The room I was in was not as nice as I thought it would be, bathroom door would not shut, did not have memory foam mattresses.

“Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. As I have stayed at this hotel before I know that most of their rooms are very nice, and it was an exception that the one I stayed in wasn't great. The staff is great and room service great. It's a quiet hotel with free internet access. Overall, great experience.”

• Quiet.
• The hallway carpeting needs to be cleaned and replaced. The outside doors were dirty and landscaping is lacking.

“The room was clean and nice, however, one has to go through dirty doors, old landscaping and carpet that needs to be replaced to get to the room. The parking lot needs to be cleaned and either repaved or coated and lined. I was afraid that the rooms would be dirty because the impression received going from the office to the room.”

• This hotel had a large pool area with a large hot tub and gaming area.
• It was quite a maze to find the way from our room to the pool area.

“We really had a great time at this hotel. The only bad thing was that it was a maze to find our way around the hotel. Great location right off the interstate. Not a lot of restaraunts near the hotel.”

• This place stunk. One day they did not clean our room. Old and smelled.

“The beds were nice but the carpet was torn, the toilet paper holder was so rusty it would almost cut you if touched. The bath tub had been resurfaced and was coming off. The carpet in the hallway was dirty and side door we entered through was nasty. I could go on but to say the least I am not happy. ”

• It smelled musty, especially in the hall and lobby area.

• The check in and no check out, the room and shower were very nice and the hot tub and pool were great.
• No fan in the bathroom.

“Great place to stay with family for vacation, or with friends, as I did , for shopping, it was a good location. The activities center was so nice and the pool, hot tub was great.”

• We were near highway.
• Dirty rugs that needed to be tightened.

“Received a room with water on the floor. When I asked for another room it was done efficiently and without a problem. Bravo to the staff. Not a great place and would not compete with other hotels in its range.”

• The hotel attendant at the front desk was very helpful. She accommodated my request for a larger bed and got me a screwdriver (tool) that I needed.
• There were a few repairs throughout the hotel that degraded the overall appearance.

“Excellent motel. The facilities were great, and the tempered mattresses provided an excellent night's rest.”

• We appreciated the easy access from the highway. We also liked the noon checkout time.
• The directions the clerk gave us to get to our room, wasn't very clear. We had to "drive around back" and go in another entrance.

“The overall appearance was very clean and well kept. The desk staff were very polite and welcoming. There was a certain odor in the lobby which we determined to be a mixture of chlorine from the pool and possibly the dog that was in front of us in line. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.”

• The hotel was at a good location, easy access to freeways and restaurants.
• Poor quality of items provided such as pillows, towels, ironing board & iron.

“Sleeping room was not as presentable as the outside of the building indicated. Carpet in hallways was wet and old in need of replacement. Inside of the building seem rather drab. Quality of items would have been acceptable in two stars or less. Expected more from a three star hotel.”

• Great water pressure (shower). Great a/c.
• Urine soaked hallway carpet (dogs allowed), stunk!

“Older hotel. We were on the first floor and the carpeting was filthy and very obviously soaked with dog or cat urine. The hotel actually soaked the carpet and had large fans blowing on the wet carpet for two solid days! The smell was horrendous. Entrance "Door A" has a sign posted that it was locked 24 hrs a day for "security" and it was never locked. Anyone was able to enter at any time of day or night. Obviously the lock was broken.”

• Rooms are outdated and hotel needs a facelift.

“I was missing the remote and ironing board in the room. There were no packets of sugar and cream for the coffee for the two days I stayed there. I was told the reason was because of a new inspector. Location very good, hotel not good for a three star.”

• Location, Therapeutic Mattress was really comfortable.
• They let pets stay in room. The bathroom could have been cleaner.

• Rock hard beds, not enough front desk staff, old motel, things in the room did not work.

“Although the motel was convenient to our destination the overall stay was not good. I can say that if this is a three star hotel then Scottish Inns must be a 2star.”

“We were able to check in early which was a big help since we were going to a football game and wouldn't be back to the room till around midnight. The room was clean and we were provided with ample towels for our stay.”

• Location to where we were going, was fantastic.
• Coffee pot did not work and toilet ran constantly. I reported it but it was not fixed.

“Hotel was clean and in a great location. I would have preferred an elevator to get items to second floor. They did not repair a couple of items I had asked to be corrected.”

• Good location off the interstate.
• The doors were dirty and needed paint. A first impression is a lasting impression.

“The holiday in was just ok. I am not sure it should have 3 stars. It had some general game and it's age showed. There was even dust on the door handle. Needs a good cleaning and refurbishing. I was given a handicapped room at midnight. By the time I had parked the car, my two children were in the bed so we kept the room but there was not counter in the bathroom and the shower was gross since the curtain kept touching me. I don't know if you are supposed to shower with the curtain open or how would a handicapped person stay out of the curtain. Cramped especially for the handicapped. It had room air conditioner that was loud and reminded me of a cheap hotel. I excepted more since I have stayed at other 3 star hotels at this exit and they were so much better (think Marriott).”

• Needs remodeling. Only shampoo and hand soap included in room.

“I liked that it is in a good area of Lexington, out close to the horse farms. However I was disappointed that the room, while decent, was not up to the standards of a 3-star. It did not include the Tempurpedic mattresses that are supposed to be featured there. So-so experience.”

• Our room was a very long way from the holidome and there were not elevators

“This is a great hotel if you are looking for a great location. If you have trouble with stairs you should request a first floor room in the main hotel wing.”

• The appearance, the smell, the decor, the entire hotel structure was ancient and appeared so.

“I wouldnt let my child sleep in the room, much less had I been alone, I am not sure I would have stayed myself. We spent 2 hours at the hotel and checked out. ”

• The location was great. Safety was very important as was evident in all doors being locked.

• My family really liked the large pool, sauna, and whirlpool.

“The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel. Keep in mind it is only two stories tall, so the ability of walking a flight of stairs may be necessary (we did not see elevators. Rooms were comfortable, mattresses wonderful! Amenities were excellent for younger kids, and access to the interstate and nearby restaurant was nice.”

• The room was clean and cool when I arrived on a very hot day. The maid service was very courteous. I really enjoyed my stay and the location.
• This hotel is due for renovation soon.

• Room service prices were great. Hotel had a beautiful exterior.
• Except for the lobby, the interior of the hotel was not 3-star quality.

“This hotel had a beautiful exterior and lobby and great room service prices. However, the rooms, halls, and other facilities were not 3-star quality, but looked like many traditional run down Holiday Inns. I am getting the impression that 3-star just means that the facility has a restaurant and room service, not that it meets any quality standards.”

• Wrong star rating. No Way it was a three star hotel.

“Hotel was listed as a three star and it was definitely not. Once at the hotel there was a group of 50-75 teenagers on a trip and no supervision in sight. They totally wrecked the pool and the area around it. Hotel staff did not intervene. The teenagers ran the halls until after 2 a.m and again the hotel staff did not respond to our request to help. Overall, the trip was a disaster due to the staff at the hotel not getting involved.”

• The indoor recreation area was ideal for children and families.
• Our room was definitely in need of updating to be a 3*.

“The hotel is conveniently located along a major interstate highway. The lobby is large and beautifully decorated. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was average-sized and the fixtures were showing their age. The room also had a strong smell of mold. I don't believe this should be rated 3 stars.”

• The holidome is great for children.
• There is not an elevator to the 2nd floor.

“This hotel is an older facility which has been renovated on a regular basis. The restaurant has a Sunday Brunch which was well prepared. The holidome includes a basketball court, several video games, a saunna, weightroom and indoor pool. This is a good place to stay if one has children. Make sure to request to stay near the Holidome as it can be a distance if staying at the back of the hotel.”

• Conveniently located; clean; safe; nice-sized; quick, efficient check-in.
• We would have liked a small refrigerator in the room.

“The hotel was quite nice. It was clean, quiet and gave us a safe feeling. The rooms were a good size and our view was of the golf course. We experienced no difficulties with our stay, including check-in and check-out! A very good place to stay! Thanks!”

• Nice facilities...pool, sauna, game room, lounge, etc.
• They allow pets in a certain section of hotel

“The hotel is nice and set in a good location. There is easy access to golf, shopping, dinner, or probably anything else one might be interested in. There is section of the building that appears to be older than the rest which they allow pets. ”

• It was close to the attraction we were visiting
• It was not a 3 and would probably be compared to a 2. The hotel was old and the rooms smelled musty.

“The desk help were useful. The restaurant had a very long wait if you did not order the buffet. The hotel rooms were older and it showed.”
