• The tempurpedic bed was amazing!
• They did not have free breakfast or flat screen TV's.

• The pool and amenities were great. Friendly people!
• Small room. No bathroom near the pool/fitness area.

“Great location for business, but not designed for leisure travel. Not having a bathroom near the pool area makes for an awkward trip through the lobby mixing a dripping swimsuit with business suits! The staff was extremely helpful and kind!”

• Everything was satisfactory!

“I will most definitely stay at this hotel again. This was my first stay at Marriott Griffin Gate and I enjoyed it. Everything was satisfactory. The pool (temperature) was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to another stay soon.”

• The memory foam mattress, the down comforter, plenty pillows and starched sheets!
• Room was a little small, no High Definition TV and having to pay for internet access.

“Our stay was excellent. The only thing that could have improved would be a Jacuzzi in the room. I absolutely would do it again and so would the friend that was with me. We were sorry that it was just one overnight because we would have loved to stay longer.”

• The rooms were well sound proofed- did not hear a lot of foot traffic out in the hall.
• The television was unplugged as was a bedside lamp.

“Nice clean hotel. bed was great, but needs better pillows, the bathrooms were very small, and I got only lukewarm water when taking a shower. Overall the hotel was worth the price and I stay here again.”

• The price, the coffee at the entrance, it was very clean, and our breakfast was outstanding!
• I hate the carpet decor, it is time to change that!

“I really did enjoy my stay. The bed was very comfortable after an extremely long day and evening. The food was excellent (breakfast bar). I was very pleased with the front desk staff, I think a young man by the name of Lance checked me in, he's an asset to the Marriott's, they must keep him.”

• The pillows and bedding were nice, comfortable and romantic.
• There are lots of conference meeting schedule and thus the parking lots becomes small.

“This was a great place for us to spend our anniversary night together. I would have love to try out the spa services but did not know about them until we checked in. The service was great; I felt like a queen.”

“Very attractive lobby, friendly staff and spacious room. However, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. I had to call the front desk for coffee and the coffee maker lid was broken. We were able to hear loud music from a fund raiser elsewhere in the hotel, but it stopped around midnight.”

• The rooms were old but updated beautifully. Loved the pool and hot tub.
• We arrived in a snow storm did not want to spend a lot for dinner, but had to get in the car and drive to an Applebees; lighter fare, great price.

“It is an older hotel, but updated. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The coffee maker is awkward by the TV. Overall, a very beautiful hotel. We would love to stay there again on our next trip to Lexington.”

• I liked the exercise room and pool. It was convenient and beautiful.
• Our bathroom was very small. You could barely get in and shut the door.

“This is a very attractive resort that makes the traveler feel extra special. The lobby and facilities are extremely nice, as well as, our room. I was not able to use the Spa, but I would have loved to use it. Very, very nice.”

• I loved the indoor pool for my kids and the work out room for me. I could watch them through the window while I worked out!
• The bathroom was a little smaller that most. Hard to move around in it.

• Marriotts are always nice. The Tempurpedic bed with the clean white linens was very comfortable. The pool area is clean, warm and spacious.
• Because I didn't put a do not disturb sign out and ignored housekeeping when they came, security was sent and nearly busted down the locked door.

“Great hotel. Great restaurant. It was in keeping with Marriott. The hotel is clean and the lobby and common areas are very nice. New furnishings bring the hotel above many others. My only complaint was that I went to rest and when I didn't answer housekeeping because I did not need them, security was sent. They opened my door which was locked from the inside but kept trying to open it by jostling or shaking the door forcefully. I was in bed and began franticly calling the front desk for help only to find they thought they were helping me somehow. After talking to the front desk they said they were just assuring my safety. It was an intrusion and not appreciated at all.”

• Great Staff! They made us feel special - almost like we were the only ones staying there!

“We will stay here again. We are in the process of moving from Ashland, KY to Newport Beach, CA and needed a few days to get away before all the commotion. I had been wanting to stay here and I it was better than I expected. The entire place was immaculate. We were treated like we were the only ones staying at the hotel by the staff. It was quiet and very enjoyable.”

• Dirty bathroom hair on the floor and in the bathtub (not mine)!

“This Marriott is usually a very nice place to stay, but I was a little disappointed in the (lack of) cleanliness in the bathroom. That's about the only complaint I have other than Christmas "partiers" running up and down the hallway in the wee hours of the morning talking very loudly and knocking on doors. The hotel cannot help it when people act like that. Just wish we'd have been put on another floor. Unless, of course, they all were housing "partying people.”

• The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The accommodations were 3 star plus.
• Sometimes I like to stay downtown.

“With a wonderful golf course, restaurant, and bar, this hotel accommodates the leisure or business traveler. Also, the free airport shuttle makes this location an excellent choice for the traveler who plans to utilize the Bluegrass Airport. So, whether spending the night out of town for fun, or staying for a business event, Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate is a wonderful choice.”
