- The pool was dirty as were the sheets.
“I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Pool was not cleaned, mosquitoes were really bad. Room stunk and sheets doesn't seem to be clean. We were all so tired we just laid in the bed and crashed. Now we all have red bug bites all over us”

- The staff was very friendly and very helpful.
- I travel alone and I feel safer in an inside rooms hotel.

- The staff was friendly.
- Room was not clean when we checked in.
“I called to get directions to the hotel. The man gave me wrong directions, so we spent an extra 30 minutes driving. Driving means gas. So I spent money I didn't need to for gas to get there. I also didn't have 30 extra minutes to drive around. The sheets had not been changed in the room when we checked in. Gross. Housekeeping was nice and apologetic. Floor in room looked like boards were just lying uneven under carpet. Dangerous to trip on. I was not impressed. Breakfast was pretty good.”

- The hotel was very clean.
- The hotel could provide more complementary items like conditioner and lotion.
“The hotel exceeded my expectations for the price of my room. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights while he competed in a tennis tournament. It was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is located on a main road with lots of restaurants close by and a Starbucks and Duncan donuts right in front of the hotel. I would highly recommend it for the cost conscious traveler.”

- The lady in the office was friendly and the room was clean. It is pet friendly.
- It was very small. There were no directions about calling the front desk or wake-up calls. It was not worth the money.

- The staff was friendly.
- The bathroom had hair in the tub and on the floor.
“I was very disappointed that I went to the bathroom and found hair on the floor and bath tub. Also the shower curtain had stains on it. This was very nasty. I did not use the shower. The staff could not give me another room until the next day. I was given a room next door to the room I had. Usually I have gotten a great hotel using your service. This time I was very unhappy with this hotel. I did not seek another hotel because I came into the city to teach classes and had to make that my priority. I could not imagine anyone appreciating this situation and having to pay for it.”

- Efficient staff. Clean, morning breakfast.
- No fridge or microwave.
“The front desk staff at this hotel is exceptionally efficient. I have had multiple stays here and upon arrival it's as though they are waiting for me. Check in is less than a minute. The facilities are very clean and orderly. Lack of fridge and microwave are the only negatives. Overall, very comfortable.”

- Hotel was located off of a main thoroughfare, which made it easy to locate.
- The hotel room smelled rank, the finishes in the room where of poor quality, the walls were stained.
“Overall, I think the interior of this hotel needs to be remodeled and completed refurnished. The walls were textured with many irregularities. The walls were spotted and the telephone key pad was also dirty/spotted. The white (or beige) curtains were dirty and should be replaced. The floor--in the only bathroom in the lobby--needed mopping and the sink needed cleaning. I found the hotel staff partly helpful and competent. I found the exterior of the hotel to be moderately appealing; externally the hotel was clean, well-lit, and the grounds were nicely landscaped. I would rather pay twice the daily rate of this hotel in exchange for a stay at a hotel of better quality and service.”

- The location was good. Star bucks are directly in front of it.
- The room smelled really bad as if the room hadn't been rented for so time with the heater left on. The night stay was horrible. I use disinfected spray.
“I would not recommend it. The pictures compared to the hotel were not consistent. The room smelled and all was given was a half empty bottle of spray.”

- It was very convenient to the conference that we attended the next three days.
- The shower could have been more forceful!

- Body hairs all over bed! Bad bathroom door that would not shut, old dirty shower.
“The last time I stayed was here was O.K. except for the parking lot. This time was terrible! Gross! The bathroom door would not shut all the way and the shower was very small and had a horrific shower head system. There were also dead bugs all over the floor! The parking lot had pot holes and desperately needs resurfacing.”

- The rooms were spotless. The whole hotel was very clean.
- At my time, I was staying there they had railroad workers staying there with all there heavy eq. Starting them up at 5:30 AM was quite loud.
“I always try and stay at this chain of hotels because of the very clean rooms and service you get. I would make one suggestion if they have a lot of construction workers staying at the hotel to have a special place for them to park. They had all there trucks blocking many parking space, I myself had to park on the other side of the hotel from my room.”

“Everything went well with the exception of the following. The bath tube leaked water at the bottom. This was discover at 10:00 p.m. I used many of the bath towels to prevent excessive water from running on the floor. I informed the desk clerk at the time of check out but she said it was nothing the hotel could. The ironing board cover was worn and torn. It require replacing. The hotel is located in a convenient location to many malls and eating facilities.”

“The La Quinta Inn Augusta, situated on Washington Rd just off of I-20, was a good value overall. Washington Road is a major thoroughfare in Augusta making this hotel close to almost everything. There is a brand new Starbucks drive thru right in front of the hotel and a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins drive thru next to it as well. The rooms appear to have been upgraded or remodeled and they compare favorably to Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn. Probably the best feature is the wireless internet access. It makes staying in a hotel much more convenient.”

- It"s located right off interstate, which is very convenient.
- Housekeeping put do not disturb sign on my door and not clean room,
I didn't put sign there.

“After seeing the inappropriate safety locks on the door and noticing that the window shades did not close properly, I decided to leave. I did not stay at the hotel, at all. I was totally disappointed. I checked into a better quality hotel with a deadbolt that appeared secure.”

“Looks like this may be a new addition to the LaQuinta line. It was no where near the quality that we've come to expect from them. Cleanliness was not a problem but everything else was. The door to our room was outside the hotel and the only way into the main building of the hotel after we arrived (for ice, drinks, front desk, etc...) was to walk down three flights of stairs (again outside the building in the elements) through the parking lot and back in the front door. This would not have been a problem had it not been cold and rainy. The room smelled like smoke and the signage was extremely misleading. All doors were locked after 11:00 but the signs still said to use them. Some Vending and Ice Machines were out of order but the signs still pointed to them instead of to alternates. Continental Breakfast was poor. Staff were informative but not very helpfull (i.e. they acknowledged the problems but offered no apologies or other forms of compensation). If given the choice, I would definitely recommend bypassing this hotel in the future.”
