• The concierge, the one who spoke English, was very helpful and nice.
• The travel agency was terrible.

“This is definitely not a 5 star hotel as you have it rated. The rooms were not very clean and the carpet was filthy. This hotel would be okay with a 2 or 3 star rating. The front desk people were not very friendly.”

• The staff was friendly.

“It is a state run hotel which in China usually means that the staff is not up to standard but in this case the staff was friendly and helpful. The location near the zoo and subway was a plus.
