• Location, amount of restaurants, nearby shopping possibilities.
• Outdated decor yet well-maintained rooms.

“A very good hotel for doing business in Beijing. This is mainly due to its great location in the northeastern part of Beijing (Chaoyang district). Therefore, the Kempinski is in convenient reach to many international business including my employer. In addition, the airport is not very far away and you don't have to get through the busy section between 2nd and 3rd ring road if you want to catch your morning flight. The room's furnishing is outdated but is in a good condition and all amenities a modern business travelers needs can be found. Remarkable is the selection of restaurants on the hotel property. The Paulaner (German restaurants) seems to be very popular with locals, which says already a lot about the atmosphere and quality there. Services was always friendly and efficient and therefore almost unnoticeable like I personally prefer it to be. A department store is also next to the hotel but it carries mainly western / expensive items. If you need something inexpensive for your dear loved wife, I recommend visiting Lady's Street, which is in walking distance to the Kempinski.”
