• The full kitchen was very nice.
• Gym needs updating.

“Overall excellent accomodations. The full kitchen was very convenient and a nice feature. Hotel staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was okay in that it was complimentary but the food was sub-par.”

• Downtown location.
• There's a VERY loud bar behind the hotel open, that pumps out music late into the night.

“Don't go here - not at the star or quality described. It's more like a Motel 6”

• It's a clean and convient place for you to stay.
• It may a little not safe enough for women to walk near by this area.

“It's in good location easy to walk to most of place. Though this area at night may not feel good enough for women to walk along. The breakfast is okay and bed is comfortable. Our room has nice view there.”

• Great, comfortable beds with crisp clean linens.

“This was the perfect answer for a one night stay in downtown Vancouver. The staff was most helpful, and had no problem with our request to hold our luggage for the day while we shopped, even though we had checked out that morning. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable (especially the beds) and nicely decorated. The complimentary breakfast offered a full selection of foods, far beyond the expected continental breakfast. A great stay at a lovely hotel.”

• First Impressions (lobby, check-in staff, smell) are all first rated.
• Once you check out, no access to elevators or restrooms via key access.

“Great location, front desk staff very friendly, lobby attractive and smelled really nice. Rooms have absolutely everything. Dishes, cutlery, tea kettle, stove & microwave. even a dishwasher. Was clean, comfortable beds and very quiet for being in the heart of downtown.”

• Comfy beds. Fantastic breakfast bar. Lovely pool.
• Bigger fridges please.

• Location, size of rooms, everything generically nice.
• Our room smelled like Indian food (there was a kitchenette).

• Quality, location, helpful and friendly staff, pool/spa enjoyable, excellent breakfast.
• Not applicable - we did not find anything that we did not like.

“This was our first visit to Vancouver. We chose the Marriott Residence Inn based on previous experience and reputation - we were not disappointed. We found its location very convenient to everything we wanted to see - we could walk to these areas with ease. It was very clean, well kept; the staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and upon our return to Vancouver would choose this hotel again for its comfort, location.”

• I did not like the location.

• The general cleanliness and location of the hotel were ideal for our needs.
• Parking is not included; breakfast was average quality, quite noise surroundings.

“The rooms are well appointed, with kitchen facilities to allow for in room cooking. Internet access is included, but poor speed. Breakfast was also included, but on one day people had to wait as the facility could not handle the number of customers. The rooms were quite noisy at night time - windows were not double glazed, so during the night sirens, cars and people could be heard. In general - we would stay at this hotel again though - it was convenient and comfortable for our needs.”

• They got us in our room right away even though we arrived early.
• The staff was very unhelpful.

“The room was fine (clean, what we wanted, etc.) but even on the 17th floor we could hear all the traffic, people, fire engines like we were standing on the street. Also the front desk staff was extremely unhelpful. We asked for a "mom and pop" type restaurant that would serve pizza and spaghetti. The two choices they gave us were both a couple miles away and chain restaurants that I could eat in at home. We ended on a $10 (each way) taxi to a restaurant they recommended that we discovered when we got there did not even serve pizza! We had stated several times that we wanted pizza and spaghetti! We walked for several minutes with our 2 small children, and finally found a place that was extremely expensive, but made everyone happy. Over the next day, we found 2 of the exact type of place we described to the front desk within walking distance of the hotel! I will never stay at that Residence Inn again! I have always had a great experience with this chain, and am very disappointed! The indoor pool was also freezing cold!”

• Staff is friendly and helpful.
• Had to change rooms, first room was not so clean and needed some replacing of older things, the couch and some items in the kitchen.

“This hotel is pretty good and has a great location. It is perfect for people who want a kitchen with their hotel. However, this Marriott needs to do some redecorating and replacing; the first room I was in was a little run down. Otherwise, good pool, decent gym, great staff.”

• I really liked the pool area. The locker rooms had showers. Very clean hotel. Location was okay. Breakfast buffet was decent.
• Our room on the 19th floor faced the bar/club and we could hear the noise from our room late in the wee hours.

“Very friendly staff. Parking is underground and gated. Very secured hotel--card key needed to access the elevators. Great snack food vending machines on the 2nd floor. rooms were nice. The main bed was in somewhat of a secluded area in the room. Our room had a sofa bed which we used. Overall, nice. Would stay here again. Clean. Not bad for a downtown hotel.”

• The health club and breakfasts were great.
• No shades on the windows, just sheer curtains. The sun is out until 9:30. This makes it hard to go to sleep early.

• Beautiful, Clean, Friendly. Great experience
• no vending machines.

“I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived in Vancouver for my stay. The Residence Inn was a wonderful hotel. The hotel was spotless throughout. The staff was friendly and very happy to help in anyway possible. I would stay there again the next time I'm in Vancouver.”

• Extremely clean and very convenient location
• Checking in took far too long, and there weren't enough parking spaces

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on spending very little time in it. Its location is fantastic, and it is very clean. The staff was courteous, but slow. Room service was terrible, but overall a very good experience.”

“The Residence Inn has always been consistent in the quality of the room and service. The breakfast is extensive and included in the price of the room. Safe, secure parking is a huge benefit, especially in Vancouver which is known for car break-ins.”
