• Great location.
• Internet cost extra should be free. Bathroom door was a sliding door.

• Nice hotel in good location by the water.
• Parking lot is poorly designed.

“Overall a good hotel. Only complaint is that the parking lot associated with the hotel is very poorly designed. The ramps between each of the levels is very steep such that the bottom of my car would always scrape on the ramp when going up or down. This is in spite of the fact that I would drive very slowly over each ramp.”

“Went with the my wife and 4 year old. The chair was like a mini bed which worked great for my daughter. They want money to upgrade for an ocean view. Very clean and enjoyed the hotel.”

• Not a 4 star hotel like the Marriott but had a nice view.

• Friendly staff - very clean and fresh.
• I hate when hotels charge for Internet - it is common.

“Older building that has been updated to a fresh new look. Beds were very comfortable! Views are excellent on both sides - the water view is obviously better! Some spoke harshly about parking charges - high but fair for the area. You should take the train if you are able & leave your car behind.”

• Excellent location with very clean, nice facilities. Excellent gym space.
• The outside of the building looks dirty, but just needs a good cleaning.

“Excellent downtown location and staff service. Excellent guest room and gym facilities. The only thing missing from the guest room is a bar fridge to keep personal items cool.”

• The food, the service people, the mattress and pillows, and the hotel food!
• Only one bar of soap in the bathroom, no card table or folding table to order into the room to play cards and only one office chair.

“We had a lovely time at this hotel. The service people were friendly and very pleasant to talk to and we felt comfortable and safe in this hotel.”

• Quite new & generally good condition.
• Room not very clean.

“Got a ground floor room opening onto a walkway to exercise room, so no view whatsoever. Mould (or something) growing in ice bucket and floor not very clean. Parking expensive compared to nearby lots.”

• Modern decor.
• Room service was friendly, but incompetent. Food good, poor selection and menu consistency.

“Everything was great except the room service. The food was good, the selection lacked. The menu was poorly printed and not in the services binder as usual. Friendly, but incompetent service.”

• The location of this hotel to the cruise line port was within walking distance. The staff were all proficient, friendly, and informative.

• 24 hour swimming pool, hot tub.
• Rude staff, overpriced internet in rooms, internet in lobby is tacky and inconvenient.

“Good location and nice rooms. Unfortunately some staff (valet and desk) were fairly rude and unaccommodating. Cheaper hotels like Days Inn give free internet in the room, this hotel made customers wait in the lobby for the two free computers (wasting customers time and wearing down their patience).”

• Quiet convenient for us, clean and a great view if you get the harbour side- not so good at front.
• internet access expensive. Rooms too cold due to unfixable air conditioning fault, moved rooms in the middle of the night.

• The hotel was two blocks from the harbor, and an easy walk to shopping.
• Parking was expensive and it was several blocks to the bus stop.

“This hotel was two blocks from the harbor, and for an extra $25 we could have upgraded to a harbor view room. The room itself was nice, with a king bed and a small sofa. They had free wireless in the lobby as well as one computer that could be used by guests. All the staff we interacted with were nice and super friendly.”

• It made me feel comfortable, safe and pampered.

“The hotel is in a great location that's convenient to all of downtown, has large spacious rooms with balconies, a fine exercise, pool & spa facility that's open 24 hours, an attractive lobby, a restaurant (did not use), a cafe with a view of the harbor, and a warm and friendly staff that's eager to help.”

• Expensive parking. Old Carpet . Elevators look dated.

“Parking is very expensive - $25 / day. We ended up parking on the street. I think that there are other parking places nearby where it is cheaper. The hotel is in a great location. I think it was a long time since the hotel has been renovated and that showed (old carpet, one of the handle bars in one of the elevators was broken). Staff was very helpful - our car broke down and the Canadian 411 system was impossible to use. I called back at the hotel where I was supplied with 4-5 phone numbers for towing companies. A short time later we were on our way home.”

• The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The in room safe to keep valuable not wanting to carry around town.
• Expensive parking and no complimentary wireless in the room.

“Our room did not reflect a 4 star quality hotel. It was small, small bathroom, and extra $25.00 for parking and $16/day for in room internet, Staff was very unhelpful about storage for our bikes and we eventually had to lug them up to the 15th floor and keep them in our small room. Staff was not responsive to my disappointment in our room (because of size and small window). New interior remodel is a bit garish with an orange, red, brown and black polka dot and line motif. Older one cup at a time coffee maker in the room, It appeared our room was smaller than most. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a 4 star hotel.”

• Free internet rocked! Paid a bit extra for a great view.
• Had some trouble with key card. Lobby restaurant stank like fish one eve.

“Fine hotel. Friendly staff. Exactly as expected. No complaints but beware to get a room on the harbor side cost me an extra $20/night. I thought it was worth it.”

• It has a beautiful view and the room was newly remodeled.
• The smell in the parking garage was not good.

“The quality of the hotel room is beyond our expectation! We got a very good deal from Priceline, but always bear in mind parking is hardly inexpensive or free for the hotels in downtown Vancouver.”

• Clean, convenient and comfy.

“We had a great king-sized bed that overlooked the city- which isn't a bad thing. The pillows, sheets and blankets were just made for sleazing around. The location was perfect too. You can walk anywhere that merits interest. We even took a short walk on over to Stanley Park, rented bikes and rode all the way around the park. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at.”

• It was a very welcoming hotel, the staff were great, the location was amazing and the room were spacious and clean.
• Room service was horrible. Food didn't taste good, it was cold and took very long to come to our room.

• Hotel renovations had shrunk front desk to a dismal 6 feet wide.

“Good location. The room was clean, no smells of any sort. The room however required some repairs, namely a closet door didn't close properly. But the technology was great, the desk in the room had connectivity to the large 32" LCD TV!”
