“I've been here twice now and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Vancouver for any reason. My wife and I traveled with our 1yo and found the 1bed room to have plenty of room for ourselves to relax and our toddler to run around (and the room was sparkling clean so we weren't sketched out about having our child on the floors). The staff even provided us with a crib at no additional charge.” Sep 30, 2009 by
Amber from Renton,WA
“This is a wonderful place to stay. It is very clean and the people are very helpful and nice.” Sep 1, 2009 by
Robert from Oakville,Canada
“Great location and great staff.” Aug 19, 2009 by
Adonis from Issaquah,WA
“Great hotel, very happy. When I went, there were only 2 working elevators - so made going in and out a pain. But the room was beautiful, staff was very friendly. Parking was a bit expensive though.” Jul 31, 2009 by
Jean from Southampton,MA
“Everything was wonderful, I could see the water from my window, through two skyscrapers, yet still beautiful. loved the orange/ginger lotion.” Jul 28, 2009 by
Tim from Milton,MA
“Excellent location and very helpful staff at registration, concierge and doormen.” Jul 12, 2009 by
David from Yucaipa,CA
“This hotel surpassed our expectations with it's beautiful interior spaces, friendly staff and luxury accommodations. The location was perfect and centrally located to everything. We were able to obtain a 2 hour extension on check out with no question. I would definitely return to this hotel!” Jun 21, 2009 by
Lorraine from Nanaimo,Canada
“The hotel was beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Our TV didn't work so they offered us another room and when we declined a move, they gave us breakfast on them. There was a roof top sun area on one area of the hotel that appeared quite nice. Our stay was short but very enjoyable.” May 21, 2009 by
Bonnie from Pittsburgh,PA
“What you would expect from a Marriott - clean, pleasant, safe, helpful. The only problem is the nickel-and-dimming about internet connectivity. In this day, internet is a necessity for business and charging extra is ridiculous. If I hadn't been using Priceline I wouldn't have stayed in this hotel because of their internet policy.” May 21, 2009 by
Chris from Toronto,Canada
“Really beautiful view and great front desk staff and doormen, but felt very business oriented and not so much the luxury expected with a four star.” May 20, 2009 by
Karen from Pittsburgh,PA
“We check in shortly after midnight. The front desk gentleman was very quick and helpful. The room on the 15th floor had a harbor view and the front of the room was all window. Very nice view. Curtains kept the room dark till we awoke. Room in excellent condition as well as the whole hotel. Definitely would recommend.” May 15, 2009 by
Richard from Edinburgh,DC
“Great hotel, newly renovated rooms and perfect location to head south to the shops or north to the Harbor which is a block away. Parking is a reasonable 26CAD with in/out privileges.” Mar 29, 2009 by
Nicole from Portland,OR
“Hotel was easy to find, easy to check in, with very friendly staff - particularly to my toddler. We had problems with the key/lock the first night - eventually requiring a room change. Staff was as helpful as could be and the mechanic had the front desk complimented us breakfast buffet (delicious with staff offering to get the toddler anything) since the room change meant we lost our great view. Room was beautiful and clean.” Mar 23, 2009 by
Emily from Bow,WA
“Clean, didn't smell. The staff was friendly and helpful.” Mar 23, 2009 by
Mark from Maple Ridge,Canada
“My wife and I would recommend the Marriot to anyone. The room was very tastefully done, the staff was great and fast elevators!” Mar 23, 2009 by
Marcia from Six Mile,SC
“Loved the view and the room was so nice.” Mar 22, 2009 by
Angela from Portland,OR
“Clean, friendly, helpful staff and within walking distance to local attractions. Parking lot seemed safer than other hotels. No broken glass. The pool spa area was comforting.” Mar 18, 2009 by
Anita from Dana Point,CA
“The only issue I had was that I did not get the bed type I requested and my friend had to sleep on the floor.” Mar 6, 2009 by
Muriel from Williams Lake,Canada
“We have often stayed at this hotel. The staff is wonderful, food is great, and the rooms are lovely, great bedding. They love our dog!” Jan 28, 2009 by
Monique from Nanaimo,Canada
“I would recommend this hotel to friends, it is in a beautiful convenient location. Although parking is a little pricey, there is at least parking available for guests. Everything in the downtown core is within walking distance from this location. Staff was friendly and helpful.” Jan 13, 2009 by
Kay from Vancouver,Canada
“Great location, very nice exercise area, and they have a pool, whirlpool (nice and hot), sauna, and steam room. Also, nice is Cafe Artigiano located in the bottom of the hotel - excellent coffee - they have won many awards in Vancouver and it was nice to try it out. The hotel is walking distance to Robson, Pacific Center, GM Place. We would stay there again!” Jan 7, 2009 by
Janice from Surrey,Canada
“I would totally recommend this hotel, it is a good location, friendly staff, high quality of product and service.” Jan 1, 2009 by
Betsy from Cobble Hill,Canada
“This hotel was in a perfect location close to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfectly appointed and the beds make you want to go back just for them. They also offered a quick early riser (before 6) breakfast delivered to your door. There was also a morning paper included in your room charge.” Dec 30, 2008 by
Rob from Brampton,Canada
“Has some amenities (ballrooms, restaurant, etc.) but the lobby area, while pleasantly and tastefully decorated, was rather small, and the pool/fitness areas were very pedestrian. Rooms were very nice, but not quite up to the caliber of some of the newly updated Marriott’s, we have stayed at. The hotel will also bill you $26 per day for parking.” Dec 29, 2008 by
Kay from Vancouver,Canada
“I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very warm and accommodating. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.” Nov 9, 2008 by
lance from Anacortes,WA
“This hotel is a good value, well operated and great location.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Marty from San Jose, CA
“This hotel was situated well for business and leisure travelers. Was able to find restaurants nearby, the harbor was within walking distance and the trolley stop was just outside the door. Had a great stay in Vancouver at this hotel.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Ray from Chicago, IL
“Great location and exercise facilities. I hated their internet charging policy - 16.95 per day (12pm to 12 pm). Even Hyatt offers a much for 14.95 per day (anytime to anytime). I also hated the hair I saw in the bathtub when I moved in.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Lori from Kennewick, WA
“Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Would stay there again!” Aug 12, 2008 by
Leah from Eugene, OR
“Downtown Vancouver is not really the best location to stay in this beautiful, waterfront city. However, Coal Harbor is close to the marinas and to sea planes, and if you are on a high floor, the view from the rooms can be lovely. The staff of the hotel needs retraining and better management. The front desk appears not to communicate with bell and valet staff; bell and valet staff disappear at peak periods. Needs a serious manager.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Mogens from Vancouver, BC CA
“Menu maybe too short. Good food, lean and well composed. No Sunday buffet, which we like. No room information about the pool such as are towels available, bathing shoes and such.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Katrina from Seattle, WA
“The hotel was comfortable to sleep in and centrally located. The amenities were above average. The restaurant was wonderful (unique NW type dishes), some dishes were very healthful. The staff was very nice.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Roman from San Francisco, CA
“The hotel is a walking distance away to restaurants, shopping areas and the waterfront. I would say that it is close to the bus lines and the Skyway Train Station.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Shandy from Lake Oswego, OR
“Great hotel, very clean, comfortable, beautiful linens and very comfortable bed. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff was exceptional.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Kay from Bowen Island, BC CA
“Great value, friendly staff, wonderful facilities. Lovely location - quieter part of downtown but walking distance to everything including Coal harbor and Stanley Park. Definitely worth a return visit.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Steven from Beverly Hills, CA
“I was disappointed that the room was so small, and there was no internet connectivity in the room. Other than that, hotel was fine.” Jul 19, 2008 by
Chiok from Vancouver, BC CA
“Overall, a very safe and clean hotel, big room but the reception area is small and no free internet service.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Darren from Duncan, BC CA
“Nice hotel overall, nice clean rooms, modern decor. But guests paying premium prices should not be expected to pay for parking at the hotel in my opinion.” Jul 16, 2008 by
David from London, ON CA
“This hotel was excellent value for the money. It was situated directly on the Victoria inner harbor and from the patio/walkway outside you could easily view float planes landing/taking off. By crossing a nearby bridge you could easily walk to Downtown restaurants the Empress in 10 minutes. Overall, a great experience!” Jul 15, 2008 by
Mike from Ottawa, ON CA
“Very comfortable, excellent location, tasteful, but perhaps just a tad dated in its design, appearance and finishes compared to other more contemporary hotels of the 4 star level I've stayed in.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Amber from Minneapolis, MN
“There were many things I loved about this hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. The pool and fitness area were both 24 hours, so if we were exploring the city late we could take a dip in the hot tub to help our achy muscles. The bathroom in the hotel room had not only a tub, but also a glass shower. Even after we had checked out, the staff held our luggage for us so that we could explore the city for one more day.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Vishant from Smyrna, GA
“Pros: The location was great. Walking distance to many attractions and very convenient to get around to Stanley park, bus tours, ferry tours and shopping areas. The room was clean and adequate for party of three (2 adults and one child). The restaurant at the hotel was nice and the gym facilities including the pool, steam and sauna were impressive. Cons: We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I called in advance to request a room on a higher floor if possible and they said it shouldn't be a problem. There was not even an acknowledgement of the request which I know was noted. They also said they would call when it would become available and we never received a call or a note. Internet access is fairly expensive $15! for a deluxe hotel that is unacceptable. Overall an average experience.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Cj from Newcastle, WA
“Hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to Stanley Park, Robson Street and Gas town. Staff was very friendly and even upgraded our room to a suite for free when they didn't have 2 bed room that we had requested. Down side parking cost extra $23. The hotel room and lobby could have been more spacious.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Dorothy from Seattle, WA
“The staff was probably more helpful than at other hotels where we have stayed. Overall just fine though - clean room, comfortable bed, good location.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Charlie from Cinnaminson, NJ
“Great location, great staff, clean friendly.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Naomi from Federal Way, WA
“This was good for a short stay, if I was there longer than a weekend I don't think I would have liked it. After going to a concert that ended at 2 am, the staff was there and helpful to give tips on places that were open to eat at that time - the location was great for shopping and dining.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Leland from Pittsburgh, PA
“Excellent hotel. Terrific location, with friendly staff. Clean, well-kept rooms.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Caitlin from Goderich, ON CA
“Great hotel! Amazing view and right in the heart of the city. Staff was friendly and very helpful.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Corinna from Redmond, WA
“This was a great hotel. Wonderful location with a Starbucks around the corner, yay! They are also a pet friendly hotel and don't charge you a fortune for it. The smoke detector went off in my room (battery died) while I was at the aforementioned Starbucks in the morning and they were very concerned about my dog and wanted to make sure he wasn't scared to death, it was really nice. They had the smoke detector replaced within five minutes. Great service all around, super friendly staff from the valet, to bell staff to front desk to the gym folks. All happy smiling faces.” Jun 4, 2008 by
David from Vernon, BC CA
“Great upscale hotel but for the life of me I cannot understand how the more upscale a hotel is the more they nickel and dime you for what I think should be included such as internet service which was available at $ 16.00 per day and parking at $23.00 per day. I expect to pay for parking in a downtown hotel but not a $10 to $12 surcharge above the going rate. Nevertheless, a great property and the staff sure know all about customer service.”
