• 24 hour health club. Clean rooms/bathrooms.
• Double not queen beds. Parking $ was high.

“We enjoyed our stay and received excellent, courteous service. When we checked in (near midnight) the desk clerk was new, but someone was right there to help him. Great 24 hr health club with pool, sauna, steam room and spa. Current edition exercise equipment with individual monitors on each piece. We requested a cot and it was in the room when we arrived. Great stay.”

“The staff was great. The facility is fresh. Beds are comfy, the rooms are small, usual ability to hear everything out in the hall. Why don't hotels discover sound damping doors(?) especially upscale. It was ok value for the price.”

“A really wonderful hotel. Walking distance to the Harbour, Gastown, Chinatown and the Entertainment District. Rooms are lovely, fresh and clean. Staff and food service excellent. Breakfast was a cooked to order steal at $13. High floor (got corner room), king bed away from elevator. Lovely city view from the bed!”

• It was right down by the waterfront.
• Room service was double billed, but fixed immediately after we noticed the error.

• The concierge desk was phenomenal. The other hotel staff were excellent as well.
• Parking is expensive at $23/night.

“The concierge desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit to Vancouver. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable and plush. Would definitely stay here again.”

• One grumpy staff member on night shift at front counter.

“Excellent location, close to shopping and restaurants. Staff were generally very helpful. Ran into one grumpy front counter person, but that could be anywhere. I will stay here again. Parking in underground is high, but to be expected I guess, due to its location. Would have given a higher rating, except for the one staff member.”

• Everyone was helpful, hotel was spotless and were close to the water.
• Parking was an issue when we first arrived but sorted out later.

“We liked the hotel very much. It was very clean and well appointed. Certainly geared to business travellers with desk and computer chair in the room. We'd arranged with the hotel for a king-size bed and it was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the opportunity on this trip to eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food, however, it was Mother's Day weekend and they closed the dining room earlier than normal, so they could set up for the special Mother's Day brunch, which meant we had to find another place to eat breakfast. We choose to park our own car in their parking facility but unknowingly parked on an inconvenient floor that didn't have an elevator directly to the hotel lobby. Walking up several flights of stairs with baggage wasn't fun. We moved the car later when we found out better where to park.”

• The linens and bed were comfortable and the health club facility was great.
• Crowded convention style hotel atmosphere, room temperature was difficult to regulate.

• The underground parking does not have a gate so anybody (thieves) can enter.

• Convenient location with nice views of both the city and surrounding natural beauty.
• Bicycle parking unavailable. It smelled too much like detergent / fabric softener in the entryways and corridors.

This was our 3rd time at this hotel and every time we have gotten some added entertainment, the filming of a movie out our window in the streets below on a quiet Sunday morning where they can close the street.”

“The Pinnacle was a great hotel just as the guidebooks described it. The room could do with a little bit more style, in terms of decor, but the sheets are wonderful. Would stay again easily.”

• Parking. For a few dollars extra per room per night, they could have a security guard walk the garage. Car broken into.

“The price was great, the concierge had flowers delivered to the room per my husbands instructions, upgraded us at no charge to the 31st floor with a panoramic view of the city and both bays. They even gave us vouchers for the unbelievable breakfast buffet.”

• The business district is bleak after 8 pm.

• The service was great as well as the 24 hour access to the gym and pool.
• It was difficult to pay $23 per night for self park and $1.05 for each local call from my room.

“Besides having no choice but to pay $23 per night for self-park and being charged for local calls from the room, I enjoyed this hotel. Service was great, the rooms were clean, and the location was great (close to Robson St. and the waterfront).”

• Quality of the bathrooms, both walk in shower and tub. I had only seen this in 5 star hotels before.
• We had asked for 2 adjoining rooms. One room was not clean so ended up with 2 rooms on different floors. We checked in at 4:30 so strange was not clean.

“First rate hotel. The rooms were larger and nicer then the Sutton Vancouver which is a 5 star hotel. One of the best gym/pool areas I have ever used in a hotel or resort. I have already told several friends and look forward to staying their again. Wonderful place, far exceeded my expectations.”

• The hotel charged a lot ($15.95/day) for Internet, and the parking was a touch overpriced.

“This Downtown Vancouver hotel was clean and taken well care of from what I could see. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful when addressing any questions I had about the area, suggesting places to go when I needed a laptop battery charger (forgot mine) and a place to relax, have a drink, and talk with the locals. Great place overall - it was a pleasure to stay there.”

• Great location and very nice corner room.

“The hotel was clean and cozy and we enjoyed the corner room. The hotel is conveniently located near Robson Street close to all the entertainment and restaurants. Only downside was that they charged us for 2 full days of parking at $28 dollars a pop. Considering we checked in at 3:00 pm and left at 10am the following day, this was not fair. I'll be calling Marriott asking for a refund. Aside from the parking, I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.”

• The staff when arrived were very helpful and friendly and did not give us a second rate room as in the past when booking with you or expedia.
• Restauratn food was not up to par.

“Very central and the room we had was very nice. the maid service was excellent and it was very nice to be able to use the pool and fitness centre for twentyfour hours and for that reason i would certainly go back.”

• Loved the size of the rooms, the quality of the bed linens, and the showerhead in the bath! Also, the views from the upper floors were fabulous.
• Room service food was poor quality; hotel configuration means disruptive noise from other guests coming and going.

“Good location, nice sized rooms, excellent linens on beds. Beds on the firm side. Large bathrooms with lots of counter-space and nice "rain" showerheads. Upper floor views worth the upgrade if offered, but try to avoid rooms at then end of the hallways in "cul-de-sac" formation--the noise from other guests coming and going is very disruptive. You can hear voices and doors slamming as if they are in your own room! Nice staff, if a bit overwhelmed by weekend crowds. Avoid room-service; although quick and convenient, the food quality is poor compared to the high prices. Example: shrimp tempura for $7.50 included 2 shrimp in a soft, soggy dough. Spring rolls seemed a bargain at 2 for $4.00 until arrived in a pool of grease. $24 chicken dinner was a tiny chicken breast in a spreading pool of over whipped potatoes and limp green beans.”
