• Some noise from people walking by on the street late at night.

• Nice rooms with full kitchen, very clean, modern, free internet.
• Staff could be more knowledgeable, have to pay for parking.

“A very nice, clean, comfortable hotel, with everything you would need/want in a ski town hotel. Was great alone, would be great as a couple or with multiple friends, I wouldn't call it very child friendly, and it's a little bit removed from the central action of whistler, but whistler isn't that big, so you are never far from the action and a frequent shuttle takes you to the lifts, but walking is easy and convenient. Overall a great place to stay, especially for the money. Freak parking would be nice, but it's less than five minutes to the free lot in whistler.”

“This hotel does not deserve their star rating, especially for the price they are charging. Our stay was riddled with problems. The hotel staff were oblivious and inattentive. We stood at the counter on numerous occasions waiting to be helped only to be ignored. They say their hotel room accommodates two adults and two small children, but the room felt very small and cramped for just two people. Additionally, noise literally pours in from every direction. Every few minutes we could hear a noise that sounded like an espresso machine steaming milk. It sounded like the plumbing for the whole hotel ran directly through our walls. Furthermore, noise from the street and from the hallways could be heard clear as day. Another problem was the cleanliness of the room. I found several hairs spread out across the shower walls and curtain. Our toilet paper was not adequately stocked. To add to that, when I called to have more toilet paper delivered to the room, it took them over an hour to bring it up. Good thing it wasn't an emergency! The hotel is a dog friendly place as well. Our room did not smell particularly of dog, but the hallways had an odor. Another minus is the parking ( / night!). The list goes on and on. I am usually pretty forgiving and don't really care when there are a few problems here and there. However, our experience seemed to be nothing but problems. The one positive thing was that we had free internet in our room and a free wine reception. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.”

“We really enjoyed staying at the Summit Lodge. It was a perfect break for us. The location was perfect as it was not in the busy, busy main square, but within short walking distance to everything.”

• I did not like a noise from a refrigerator, but I liked to use it.

“Family friendly, my room had sofa-bed with extra sheets and pillows, so each room could be excellent for two adult and two children. You can safe a lot because each room has a kitchen inside with everything (from spoons to frying pan). And coffee was excellent!”

• I liked the balcony and the fact that you could open the windows.
• The heated pool was fairly chilly!

“The hotel was very nice. It was in a quiet location, yet within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. There was a nice pool, hot tub and spa on site. Our room was nicely furnished with updated furniture/linens, etc., had a nice balcony and had a very comfortable sleeper sofa. There was a kitchenette and the cleaning staff washed our dishes every day!”

• Location is central. Kitchenettes. Not loud except for construction outside.
• Our room faced trees and the windows did not open. No balcony so it felt extremely claustrophobic; disappointing since we were in the great outdoors.

“The hotel was OK, but not as nice as depicted in description. No gym, only one bed (one sofa bed), and a bad view/lack of balcony/lack of windows that open- though we specifically asked for a decent view. We ended up finding a much better value hotel for the latter part of our stay.”

• Location was a little far from the adventure zone in the upper village - but walking was OK.

• Comfortable, welcoming, cozy & clean - loved the fireplace in the room! Kitchenette was a great surprise bonus!
• The check-in/check-out times - 4pm to 11am - seems to be a lot of $ for short time allowance in room.

• Rooms on the small side, pillows like sand bags.

“This is a very nice hotel, and very well located for all the action. Our complaints: The rooms are pretty cramped. Especially with the sofa bed out. There needs to be more clothes storage as there is no dresser in the room, just one small armoire. Not nearly enough to hold ski clothes and vacation wear for my husband, myself and our 7 year old daughter. We called the pillows "sand bags" as they were so hard (so bring your own), and the refrigerator motor is pretty loud. Besides all that, the staff was very nice, and you got a love that free glass of wine every night. The Zen like feeling and wonderful aroma of the hotel was very nice. GREAT location, and free parking available.”

“Great location, near groceries, restaurants. Shuttle to gondola. Allows pets, even big dogs. We will definitely go back with our dog. Dog haters should avoid. Ask for room overlooking park, as there is some noise from street.”

• The staff were so friendly. It was the little things, like having a morning paper at our door and bathrobes in our room that made it special.
• The light switches were hard to find.

“We had a great time. The staff were friendly, they allow pets which is great! It's located right in the village, very handy and close to the shops, yet far enough away that there was privacy and quiet.”

• I liked the kitchenette and that there is a market across the street. We liked the sauna and warm changing rooms.
• The whirlpool wasn't hot enough and the scent in the lobby was too strong, it gave me a headache and stung my eyes.

“We enjoyed our stay at Summit Lodge. It was conveniently located by a market and made for a less expensive trip because of it's kitchenette. The bathtub was very nice. I like how the changing rooms are warm so that when you get out of the pool, you can easily warm up. The whirlpool wasn't quite warm enough though. The lobby looks beautiful but there is a strong scent that gave me a headache and stung my eyes. I ended up going in through the parking garage most of the time to avoid it. The staff was friendly. They allow pets, we don't have one but I think that is very nice for people who do. I wouldn't recommend the Summit Logde based on the scent alone. If the scent wasn't there, I would definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone.”

• Rooms are too small (smaller than average), parking is expensive and too small to fit a large SUV.

“The Summit Lodge & Spa is conveniently located in the Whistler Village. From the hotel, it is a short walk to restaurants and shops in Whistler as well as to the Whistler/Blackcomb gondolas themselves. The underground parking at the Summit Lodge is secure, requiring room key access to the garage. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the maid even washed our dishes for us. The room was quite cozy, and we would stay there again anytime.”
