• The beds were very comfortable.
• I was disappointed in the hotel bathroom.

“Although all staffs encountered were extremely friendly I would not stay at this hotel again. We stayed at this hotel as one of us had day surgery booked at a nearby hospital. In hindsight though we were lucky that we weren't inconvenienced by road closures due to a pending Buffalo Bills football game at the Rogers Centre which occurred the day after we departed. Our room had a dismal view (we were asked for a city view but looked out onto a gravel roof. We asked to have another room; this room was just a little bit better view-wise. It looked out onto same gravel roof but it was a bit higher. It also looked out onto the back of the Rogers Centre's (stadium). We were told there were no other rooms available. We had no bar fridge in 2nd room, so had to call down for one. It was however brought up within 15 minutes. The coffee/tea maker was in the bathroom right beside the toilet; a very poor place for it when it could have been placed on the desk in the room.”

• The hotel was fine I had to take my children down the restaurant to view the game instead of from my room in a comfortable atmosphere.

“Clean/neat pool area was ok, water was cold and whirlpool was broken. Was not allowed an extra cot. Told a fire hazard. So my wife had to sleep on 2 chairs?”

“Arrived at 5 PM and was told that our room wouldn't be ready for an hour. When we did finally check in, room was dirty and had many malfunctioning properties. We were asked if we wanted valet parking upon arrival, said yes, then found out we were charged for that.”

• The rooms were beautiful, with great views.
• The carpets were dirty, thin walls, parking was expensive, some staff members were unhelpful & clueless.

“The rooms were absolutely beautiful, with great views of the tower; the lobby bar has a perfect view of the stadium field. Parking is expensive $20 per day if you can find a park or else $30 per day valet. Internet 12.95 per day. Staff members were clueless with the exception of 1 night desk woman who was superb. Ask for a room in the 30's or 40's or else you'll walk for miles as the only elevators are by the *30's and my first room was *98. My 1st room had biting insects; they moved me immediately & promptly dealt with the issue. As you walk down the hall you can hear everyone's conversation thru the walls. The beds were extremely soft best sleep ever.”

• Pool, hot tub broken, dirty, moldy walls, kind of grimy.

“Everything was as expected except pool. For such a hotel I expected more, esp. for the hot tub to be working. The pool area was dirty, green mold on walls and locker area unkempt. We always stay at hotel with a pool and although we love the size of the room, location etc. might not stay again with this hotel. A shame.”

• Fitness facility is an actual fitness club with lots of equipment.
• Hallway of the floor we were on was quite dated - a little stale smelling.

“This hotel is perfect for anyone going to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, and Diesel Playhouse - all within a 2-minute walk, and the club district is a 5-10 minute walk. Restaurant overlooks the Rogers Centre field which is cool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, hotel is clean, elevators are fast, and gym is the best of any hotel I've stayed in - 3 floors, including squash courts! No complaints.”

• The railway tracks can get annoying at time.

“They offered us a beautiful King sized room. Late check in was no problem at all. Checkout was a breeze. Hotel staff was nice and friendly.”

• Plumbing/bathroom lighting.

“I was to have a full city view, but all I got was a full view of a roof which was part of the Rogers center. Very poor bathroom plumbing and lighting, got a room that was at the very end of the floor, which takes approximately 90 seconds to walk to. Curtains did not block the sun from coming in, and were losing their hooks. I was there two nights and my room was not made up on my second day until sometime after 4 P.M. The hotel was hard to find, as the name to the main drive way faces out and not towards the road in either direction, we had to look for the Rogers center sign to find the entrance each time we went out and came back by car the. Only good part was the location to attractions, and restaurants. I give this 4 star hotel only 1.5 stars.”

“I would highly recommend this hotel if the customer is at all interested in the Blue Jays. The rooms were also very nice. We had two TV's with a separate living area and bedroom.”

“The hotel is at the far end of the Toronto business district, not close to a Subway stop and the airport bus does not stop there. You have to walk or taxi everywhere. The rooms are large but totally uninspiring. Rather than appearing spacious they appear under furnished. The decor in the bar/dining room was garish and out-of date. I wouldn't stay there again. I'd give it 2 and one-half stars at best.”

“The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. However the location is on the lakeside. It was a bit far away from all the clubs and nightlife of Toronto for my liking. I did not like that I had to pay each and every time I went in and out of the parking lot, as the hotel was far away from most things I had to drive to them instead of walking. Overall an amazing room, great staff, but too far away from where I needed to be.”

• Location is very convenient right next to CN Tower and the restaurant is great specially if a game is going on in Rogers Center.

“Old hotel with worn out carpets, staff and valet service could do better, getting to rooms is inconvenient as there is only one service elevator at one end, to get to the pool one has to come into the lobby, walk across it, go down another elevator and walk another 50 yards go through 2 sets of doors and then 2 large flight of steps to reach a rather small pool. Exercise area is well equipped though.”

• We were very impressed by our room, with its nice furniture and great view of the city.
• Some details in the room were cheap, like Styrofoam coffee cups instead of china.

“We were so happy with our hotel room. It was very spacious with great decor and a big king-size bed in front of windows with a view of the city. Needless to say, it was pretty romantic. We also loved being in downtown so that we could walk to the clubs at night and to a nice breakfast spot and shopping the next day.”

• The proximity of the hotel to downtown Toronto and all its activities.
• Internet access was expensive for the short amount of time we needed it. There should be an area with internet access for little emergencies.

“This conveniently situated hotel makes your stay in Toronto that much easier. The room we selected was designed to let us relax after a long day of sightseeing! The Hotel staff also informs you of all the activities that are going on downtown and can even suggest certain activities you might like. Our stay at this hotel was magnificent!”

• Clean, close to downtown, and just next to the CN tower.
• Beds were too soft and made me and my wife backache.

“Overall, very good and I can recommend to others. Parking is not free ($20/day), but reasonable compared to other hotels. Swimming pool was good with kids but the water was not clean. Beds were too soft to me and my wife. Internet was not free ($12.5/day) but I was able to access some public wireless internet somehow free.”

• Getting to the hotel and parking garage was a bit confusing.

“This was my first time staying at this hotel and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly from the front doorman, to the reception desk, to the bartender. Upon checking in, we were upgraded to a suite! The hotel was wonderful through and through. I would definitely recommend it to others.”

“The room was very large and comfortable. The room service tasted great. Chicken wings were the best! The staff at the desk was very accommodating. The pool was large and not over crowded. Overall about nine out of ten!”

• Wouldnt consider the location to be Downtown.

“Overall very satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were large and everything else about the rooms and the service meet my expectations. I did consider the location to be a little far away from the Downtown Yonge St. area. In addition the hotel was a good distance from local mass transit options and thus not the best location for travelers that could not walk significant distances. Overall very nice but I would have preferred a more centrally located hotel if I had been able to chose the hotel.”

• The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
• The bathroom. The view. The kind of dirty carpet.

“Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. My expectations, due to the star level, were higher than reality. They need to update the bathrooms (the size was exceptional, as well as water temperature and pressure) and perhaps get new carpets. The bed and linens were excellent, the closet space was excellent, as well as the work space. I was comfortable and happy with the room and service I received.”

• Got a king size suite.
• Did not extend check out past 12:30.

“The location of this hotel is tucked away in a concrete jungle on the backside of the Toronto Skydome, which makes you feel very isolated. Unless you are a sports fan, there is no reason to go out of your way to stay there. My room was a marathon of a walk from the elevator. The hotel seems to have been upgraded as far as carpet, bedding and towels to meet Marriot standards, but some of the furniture seems to be older than the hotel. I would not rate this hotel 4 stars. Three stars are more appropriate. I was very upset that I could not check out past 12:30 p.m. I had checked past midnight the night before.”

• Location. We booked the Renaissance and the Sheraton. The Sheraton was much nicer. We booked that room for our friends.
• It was clean but very old.

“I have stayed at the Renaissance before and found the rooms lovely. We must have just gotten an old room.”

• Railroad tracks / go train near room, poor View.

“The location was excellent for our sporting event. The room was clean, nice and what we expected. The only downside was our room was near the GO Train and our view outside was poor. It cost $20 a night extra to park but I guess that comes with being in Downtown Toronto.”

• The bar has a pretty good service, and the food is excellent
• Not being told about the parking fees.

“There was nothing too much wrong about the hotel, apart from it being stuck somewhere it can be hard to see, and not being told that there was parking fees which is ridiculous and not very nice, as it was quite unexpected to be charged for parking at the hotel. At least there should have been some sort of discount which would of been something, and not being told by email or even when checking in, if there was something that could done about this that would be great.”

“The property is quite dated and in need of updating. Unlike most other Marriott properties I have stayed in, everything was extra here. Coffee in the lobby $2.00. Internet in the room $15.00 a day.”
