  • The consistency of quality at Marriott hotels.
  • It was far from restaurants and attractions, with no easy access to Toronto.

“The hotel was good quality for the price. Free shuttle service to and from the airport made it convenient for quick stopovers. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

  • It was easy to find and the price was very good.
  • The TV didn't work, had to change room at10pm and they didn't help us move. Could have sent a car.

“Well located based on where we needed to be. The rooms were nice but very small. The pillows and duvet were amazing! Make sure you keep a room key with you when you check out because you need it to get out of the parking.”

  • The Restaurant Bistro West by East had the most amazing STEAK EVER!

“The gym facilities were pretty good compared to the hotels I've been to. 10 top of the line cardiac machines, 3 flat screen TVs, free weights, and machines. The restaurant Bistro West by East was to die for! We ordered the Sirloin and Lobster, just amazing.”

  • The beds and bed linens were good quality.
  • Free WiFi only in public areas, 16.95/day if you want to pay for it in your room not at all cost efficient or convenient for a business traveler.

“I liked the hotel, I liked the location however I find it horribly inconvenient to have to go to the lobby to conduct business as I do a significant amount via internet. I inquired about joining the concierge club but not even that would grant me free internet access in my room. This would be my one and only complaint.”

  • This is not a 4 star quality hotel.

“I didn't like this hotel. The staff was not too friendly, only I was ignored until I fully got the help I needed. I got a room on the 2nd floor which had a window to the lower roof, it was quite claustrophobic, and not very pleasant. The shower stream was very poor, and I'd found hairs in the shower. The sheets were very pleasant, but the mattress was not comfortable at all. The hotel is very close to the airport, and to not much else. There are no fast food restaurant or at least budget restaurant around the area (or so I was told by the reception clerk). The restaurant was very good but so expensive. And to get to the nearest shopping outlet mall it took me 1 hour and 2 buses.”

  • Clean, comfortable, had variety store in lobby.
  • No fridge. Parking and breakfast not included. I was really unhappy that internet was not included. Noisy small room next to ventilation vent.

“For a four star hotel I was very disappointed and think I will stick to 3 star hotels. All 3 star hotels I have stayed at included internet and parking and most of the time a continental breakfast. The only real up on this hotel was the bed - very comfortable. Something that all hotels need to do is upgrade their TV service that has more on screen detail. I miss my digital TV when I travel and have a hard time finding a station when in a different city so a digital on screen display would be a big plus.”

  • Restaurant was a bit expensive, even for an airport hotel.

“Great room, pleasant stay. This isn't the hotel's fault, but the shuttle stop at the airport's terminal (T1) was poorly signed and difficult to find. But the drivers were kind and friendly on the trip to and from.”

  • Great location, friendly staff.
  • Charges for internet & parking. Added $30.00 per day to the bill.

“Very nice hotel with a very friendly staff. Location is great, but I dislike the charges for parking and internet. $30.00 a day added to the bill. I have stayed in many hotels in the Toronto airport area and they are the only ones to charge for these services. I don't understand it and I am not very likely to stay there again, even if it is on the company's dime.”

  • Modern room with flat screen television, comfortable bed.
  • Front desk staff unhelpful, didnt answer their phone, couldn't take shuttle.

“Modern, updated room with flat screen television and very comfortable bed. Came in on a very long international flight and called the hotel several times and the front desk staff didn't answer the telephone. I had to take a $20 cab ride to the hotel which was less than 5 minutes away from my terminal.”

  • On their toes to give assistance at all times.
  • No free parking for 2 week getaways.

“When we arrived, we were quickly spoken to and taken care of. I tried to use the free internet in the lobby and it would not work so I was gifted with free in my room for the time I lost. The pool area/change room was very clean and the pool water was warm for us seniors. The shuttle was timely and the driver was courteous and helpful. The housekeeping staff on our floor was very helpful in our requests. We would do a commercial to talk about our great stay.”

  • Difficult and expensive parking, difficulty with card to activate parking several times.

“The Toronto Airport Marriott misses the mark in the area of guest relations which is unfortunate as the hotel otherwise performs well. Rooms are comfortable, fitness area is very good and restaurant is great. The front desk staff need a refresher course in hospitality and the parking situation is both overpriced and awful.”

  • The woman who cleaned our floor was always singing.
  • Had a corner room - noisy in the morning (drilling).

  • Most of their staff was amazingly great and courteous.
  • One night at the restaurant the hostess was rude.

  • Fresh appearance, great lobby, first impression excellent, great newly renovated rooms, staff was excellent too.
  • I do not like having to pay for parking & internet.

“The moment you walk into the hotel, you realize it is a 4 star operation. The lobby is freshly appointed and light. The check in personnel are professional, courteous, and make you feel as though they have your best interests in mind. Great lobby bar and restaurant with excellent service and decent food for the money and considering it is a hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed and have excellent LG flat panel TVs. Everything is done right, I hope they keep up the great work as they have really done a terrific job of upgrading this Marriot!”

  • Had to wait in line to use a cart to bring the bags up to the room and a wheelchair would have been helpful when traveling with elderly parents.

  • They did upgrade our room to accommodate 3 children in the room as 2 double beds would not accommodate a family of 5.
  • Rooms were very dated, very uncomfortable beds.

“Beautiful lobby, pool area and fitness room. The rooms were average with carpet and bathrooms a bit dated and damp, but new and comfortable beds and linens. Cleanliness was not up to par in the room and the restaurant provided an extensive menu with moderate service and quality of food.”

  • Convenient location, comfortable bed, easy check-in and out.
  • The planes (airport hotel) were a little noisy but that is to be expected.

“The hotel was very good to excellent. I was on personal business and needed an interim place to stay to break up the trip. This hotel had all the amenities that one would expect although I did avail myself to many as it was a short check-in, sleep and check-out stay. Having said that I would definitely stay here again.”

  • Staff gave excellent service and tried to accommodate.
  • No king size beds, stuck in a small double bed.

“Hotel is about a 3star quality. Poor restaurant quality of menu or food for pricing. I am 6'2' and 250lbs and they could not accommodate me with proper bed which one would expect in a 4 star hotel.”

  • The beds are comfy and the comforters extremely cozy.
  • Free internet not available in your room only in the lobby. For a 4 star that was not adequate.

“Wonderful bedding. Housekeeping is very loud in the early mornings. For a 4 star hotel, you should have free in room internet. Lesser hotels offer it. However, I'm told they are upgrading. Overall, the hotel is nice. But its the little things that count. We would stay again if the internet has been upgraded and request a room away from the elevators and stairs.”
