• The hotel is over-rated as a 4-star hotel.

“This hotel is not Marriott quality. The room is no more than a 3-star quality and size with poor washroom and closet facilities.”

• The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on!
• I was not aware that I had to pay a $20/night parking fee on top of my room amount.

“This is a gorgeous hotel! It is clean, comfortable and the people are friendly. The only problem that I had with, was that we had to pay $20 on top of what we paid for the room, for parking. I believe this should have been made clear before we checked in.”

• The hotel was very clean.
• The elevators and there was no free wireless internet in the rooms.

“The hotel was nice and very clean, the people were friendly and it was easy to find what you needed. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have free internet in the rooms (wireless). Other then that I give this hotel a 8.5 out of 10”

• Crappy worn room, uncomfortable bed, small cramped room, inconvenient shuttle.

“The location is good but the rooms themselves are worn and small. The bathrooms are what you would expect at a roadside motel, not an alleged 4 star hotel. The shuttle runs on a set schedule rather than on what is convenient for guests. The food in the restaurant is like a Hampton Inn self serve breakfast buffet.”

• Having to pay for parking $18.00 per night did not like.

“The Hotel is clean and staff friendly. Parking a big disappointment to have to pay in addition to your room fee. I will look further into my booking next time to make sure parking is included.”

• A very nice comfortable place to stay if your in need of being near the airport or if you need a nice hotel for business meetings.
• No one was at the doors to open them for us or offer to take are bags, kind of bigger thing for upscale I think and it didn't happen.

“I liked it allot, and would recommend it if you need to be near the Toronto Airport. Nice clean rooms beautiful lobby. Great bed! Great shower too.”

“Standard, in my opinion 3 star world hotel. Only one near airport that might be classified as 4star in Toronto would be the Sheraton. Good shuttle connection to airport. Walking distance to Chain Style restaurants. Good service and friendly staff.”

• I arrived at 3:00 am (returning from Cuba). The beds were heaven, and check-in was quick.
• Parking was both very limited and overly expensive.

“My stay here was brief - about 7 hours total. My mom and I arrived at 3:00 am after flying back to Toronto from Cuba. The room was very clean, and I could not have been happier with the comfort of the beds. From desk staff was very helpful and extremely pleasant. My only complaint would be that parking for our week away was not available right at the hotel, and had to pay $18 parking for the time I was at the hotel. I checked out just before 10:00 am. Overall though, very pleased and would say at the Marriott, Toronto Airport again. The location is very convenient.”

• The buffet was nice at breakfast.
• Noise security did nothing about it, no idea about amenities in the hotel until too late.

“I was extremely disappointed. I get almost no sleep the kids in the surrounding rooms were a nightmare. I called the desk who in turn supposedly called security to stop the problem. They did not. The kids were at it again at 6:30 am so I was awakened. My eyes were burning and bloodshot the next morning. The welcome book advise you of the hotel amenities was missing. It took the desk 45 minutes to get me one. By then everything that was of interest to me was closed (pool, sauna exercise room) I will never stay there again and will definitely advise friends and colleagues of the problems I had!”

• Friendliness and helpfulness was absent.

“It looks like there is a lot racial bias in the staff of the hotel. Why it is like that I do not know; could be the location of the hotel! I am from US and not that familiar with Toronto. I am also Marriott Club member and stayed in a lot of those flagship hotels without any problems. This stay was not a pleasant one. Actually I thought of changing hotel the first night.”

• Noise from 11:00 - 3:00 pm - out of control.

“Hotel was nice, clean and friendly staff. Hotels need to make sure that hockey tournaments are on perhaps the first two rows of a hotel or the top two floors. They were very prompt at contacting security, but that was after 6 calls to the front desk. Hotel rooms were also extremely dry and humidifiers would be a nice option. Otherwise I would stay there again.”

• Parking was not included. We had to pay $15.00 to park overnight.

• The lobby was inviting, the room felt luxurious with white linens.
• I would have preferred a queen or king bed, and more timely room make up.

“Convenient to the airport and close to major highways, the Marriott offers attractive, upscale accommodation, friendly and courteous staff, and an array of food possibilities. The gym and swimming areas were extensive and made exercising a treat.”

• The comforter and bed.
• Should not have to pay for Internet in the rooms in a 4 star hotel.

“The restaurant was nice, and convenient, but very over priced. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and just what we needed after 12 hours driving. Bathroom light switches are oddly placed.”

• Clean comfortable modern hotel that is very busy.
• $15 per night to park, business centre closed on weekends.

“This is a 4 star hotel that charges you $15 per night to park and totally screwed up our reservation. You need your room key to exit the parking and if they screw that up (which they did) you end up walking back and forth to hotel again. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.”

• The room was spacious, the pool was warm, the hot tub was lovely, the staff was helpful, the shuttle was great.
• There wasn't anything we didn't like.

“This hotel is great. The shuttle comes every 15 minutes to the airport and the hotel is only 5 minutes away. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient and they offered us a king bed as opposed to 2 double beds. The room was a good size and the bathroom was bigger than most. Everything was really clean and the cleaning staff did a lovely job of making up the room each day. The pool was small but warm and we enjoyed our dip in it. The hot tub was warm and large and the jets were nice and powerful. We would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers to this area.”

• Usual high services standards.
• If I had to nitpick, having stayed there since 1999, the room carpets could be changed.

“Very good convenient hotel, close to Pearson international with 24 hour complimentary shuttle to the airport. Rooms have been partly renovated with the Revive beds by Marriott which are sublime. No charm whatsoever for the hotel itself (to be expected from a chain airport property) but excellent friendly service from the staff and all requests honored Perfect if overnighting before or after a flight, or, If visiting the area on business.”

“Excellent Business hotel near to Airport. 4 star rating a little shaky as we found that maintenance wasn't as good as it should be. The wash basin plug didn't work, the shower ring was loose from the wall, all little things, but a 4* hotel should be seeing these things.”

• Always happy with the comfort at the Marriott hotel chain.
• Little noisy in halls and lobby. Young hockey players and an anime convention.

“Liked everything about this hotel. The only problem was allotted of kids (hockey and anime convention). Some of the kids put something in the hot tub, so it was shut down and the pool was very dirty so we didn't use either.”

• The check in staff ruined it for me. She was rude and snotty!

“I loved almost everything about this hotel except the check in staff. They were rude and snotty. The room was very clean and spacious. Very nice color scheme. The beds were very comfortable. Nice big bathroom. The little store was nice, and the clerk was very helpful more so then the hotel staff. Other complaints: 1) hard to find parking (most spaces in the garage were filled up) 2) very expensive charge to use internet $15 (the highest I have ever paid). I probably would stay here again but only if they replace the staff.”
