• Room was quiet; you could see the planes but not hear them! Fluffy towels, clean room and free internet.
• The front desk young man's attitude when I checked in. Didn't like the charge for parking.

“Wonderful location, we were attending a show at the international centre. The hotel is comfortable, clean and the towels are nice & fluffy! I understand the need to charge for parking however I think it should be included in the room rate. Overall, this is a good spot to stay and I would recommend it to both business guests and leisure travelers.”

• Location was great.
• $14 (Canadian) per night fee for parking.

“View from our 7th floor room was very nice. Beds were comfortable, hotel was generally quiet. No loud running water noises, and in spite of it being on the Toronto airport landing path, no outrageous airport noise. Room smallish but nice, shower good, complimentary soap not over-scented, no bathroom fan to un-steam mirror. Convenient location right next to an Outback restaurant. All in all, a pleasant experience I wouldn't hesitate to repeat.”

• Friendliness of staff. Reception called us by name on return to front desk.

“The fresh orchids in the foyer and restaurant were a welcome sight. The convenience of a shuttle to the airport was so handy. The hotel itself was tastefully decorated, and the staff quite friendly.”

• Frequent courtesy shuttle to the airport.
• On the approach/departure path to airport making it quite noisy before midnight and starting at 6:00 a.m.

“Very nice hotel with all the facilities you will need including fitness and business centre. Airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes making access to airport very convenient. Unfortunately, the hotel is directly on the approach to one of the runways, so depending on the winds you may find it quite noisy early in the morning.”

• Very nice room, friendly staff, very clean & comfortable, good shuttle service to airport.
• Prices for restaurant expensive, brief phone call that cost $18.00, parking fee for guests, bed was hard.

• The hotel was comfortable, and met or exceeded my expectations. Expectations.
• I would have proffered to give breakfast included. Also, a small frig. In the room would have been more convenient.

• It was very convenient to where we needed to go.
• The fire alarm went off at 6:00 am on both days we stayed there.

“We loved the hotel, but didn't appreciate the fire alarm going off at 6:00 am in the morning. In addition, to the alarm going off for approximately 20 minutes there was the constant announcement over the loud speaker. This was extremely annoying.”

• The manager desk was very accommodating to my parents' needs.
• The front desk employees were not so accommodating.

“This is a very classy hotel. My parents really liked it. It was very comfortable and clean. The only problem that they came across was that they were assigned a handicap room initially, which was an inconvenience. Then, I called the front desk manager and he switched my parents' room to a non-handicap one. He was very accommodating and nice about it. I appreciate all his help. He made my parents stay a lot nicer!”

• Restaurant food was good.
• Restaurant expensive, sheets not clean, carpets grungy, front desk staff not the greatest.

“I was disappointed with the hotel for what the star level was. The bed sheets were not very clean, and I had to request an alternate room, which wasn't any better. The front desk staff did not seem to know much. The prices in the hotel restaurant were very overpriced (an entree dinner for 1 cost 50 dollars). The restaurant staff was very polite and helpful. I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Also, the free shuttle service to the airport runs once every 30 minutes, which is not very efficient given that the airport is 5 minutes away.”

• The beds are nice, the only trait that this is a Marriott chain.
• This hotel is the poor cousin of the Marriott.

“There is no fridge in the rooms that have 2 queen beds, also you have to go into the lobby (where guests are arriving) to access the pool, fitness room and the hot tub. Good sleep however, you have control of your room temperature which is nice.”

• The fitness room was one of the best Ive seen, with a nice pool.
• The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable.

“The staff was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. Really enjoyed the fitness room/pool area. The bed is the only thing I can complain about - it was on the hard side and slightly uncomfortable. Overall, my stay at the hotel was excellent!”

• Service at brunch was poor.

“Service at Brunch was poor. Rarely saw waitress. Asked for ketchup and was told it was on buffet. Asked at buffet and told waitress would bring it. It did arrive after I had eaten. Service at best would be described as indifferent.”

• Coffee outlet did not work; drain in tub did not work.

“Overall not bad, but not great - a few things as noted such as tub virtually did not drain at all, coffee pot outlet did not work, iron in poor condition, no newspaper at our room in a.m. (although other rooms had them), surprised at parking fee for hotel guests ($14) for airport location and plenty of parking available (also no choice above for selection - but business traveler traveling with spouse).”

• Airport shuttle didn't arrive despite calling ahead to the hotel to warn them we would be coming in late. Breakfast buffet was skimpy but pricey.

“Attention to detail was not their thing. Pool lacked towels, showers in locker room didn't have soap and shampoo in the dispensers.”

• Swimming pool, quiet room, fluffy duvets on beds.
• Had to use staircase to get to room, not enough towels.

“I was traveling with a 2 year-old child. My room was on the third floor and at the end of a hall, which was irritating. Had to lug up luggage 3 times up and down the stairs. I believe that when a customer comes in with a child/children, they should be put on the first floor, as a courtesy.”

• The hot tub and swimming pool where far better than expected.
• Could not find anything wrong with this hotel.

“If you are staying near the airport this is a very nice place. Had a great pool and Jacuzzi tub to relax in. Very friendly staff (Canadians usually are nice) - near nice restaurants (several big chains nearby). Beds where very nice, as where the rooms. Pretty standard for this chain. An excellent place to stay.”

• Airport vicinity is a barren wasteland.

“Definitely not a 3-star hotel, 2.5-star at best, and I would even prefer a 2-star hotel with better location than this one. And the parking fee? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't stay here again just for that!”

• Location was fine for us My husband had a conference nearby.
• Slight odor of an "older hotel" in hallways and in our room.

“Great to know that you are smoke free!! I had forgotten to request this. Staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Saturday Brunch was delicious with plenty of variety. Family groups seemed to be handled with ease. Despite the presence of many young hockey players, our stay was quiet and our sleep uninterrupted! Could have been excellent supervision or could have been great planning in room assignments!”

• Great room, friendly, staff, close to airport but quiet.
• All the parking is pay parking (even surface lots).

“Met my expectations of a renaissance. While the hotel is about 1.5 miles from the airport, I never heard an airplane. Routine free shuttles to the airport start at about 4 in the morning (even on Sunday). The rooms were very nice and clean. Of note, the ample surface parking is all pay parking. When you register your car with the hotel they will automatically charge you $14 dollars per night. Don't get frustrated paying the machine as I did.”

“The lobby of the hotel is the nicest area of the hotel, the hallways leading to rooms are old and carpets smell. The room was OK, not that great.”

• No Free Parking.

“Despite being very busy, the front desk service was prompt and extremely courteous. The hotel was very clean and the public facilities were great. The location of the hotel was near perfect, not far from a highway and a short distance away from the airport as well as a great restaurant outside of the hotel. Extremely family and kid friendly without compromise for the business traveler. I strongly recommend staying here for business or pleasure.”

• The pool had an amazing view. The lobby was very modern.
• I hate the fact that you have to pay for parking.

“I was absolutely impressed with this hotel. I've stayed in many hotels by the airport and this one is by far one of the best. From the moment I stepped into the door, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room colors were bright and inviting. I'd love to stay there again in the near future.”
