- The staff was very friendly, accommodating and the amenities were well thought out meeting our needs well.
- Room service ended at midnight and we were looking for something yummy. Oh well!
“From the warm cookies at check in to the sink-into-it beds and luxurious linens, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. User-friendly hours for the pool, hot tub, and water slide helped us relax and unwind when we were able. Thank you for making our get-away such a pleasure!”

“Great for a business traveler. Close to the airport & convention center. Located on a very busy street with lots of traffic and airport noise, but the rooms were insulated well and the noise was not disruptive to sleep.”

“The hotel lobby was impressive, but the room, while admittedly quiet, was much less impressive. It was small, the carpet was lumpy and stained, and the pay per view movie channel had so much interference that the movie was hard to watch (regular free channels were fine). Also, the staff apparently took the free newspaper away before it could be retrieved. It was a two star room, at best.”

- Inconsistent staff responses (not enough staff?).
“Slow response from hotel front desk. Sent maintenance first even though I had requested room change, and then still had to change. Slow to get room changed after this. (Obviously needed room change but had to wait over an hour) this was late very disappointing. Also dirty cup in room. This one was ok but not nearly as good as most stays.”

- My last room was located very close to the ice machine. At times it was annoying.

- The bed was super comfortable.
- Room was interior, overlooking meeting room. Curtains had to be kept closed for privacy.
“Check in was quick. Room was on 2nd floor, and had a very comfortable queen bed. The bedroom was an interior one, with curtained windows opening to a meeting room, or perhaps a dining area. Curtains had to be kept closed to ensure privacy. Lighting not very good. Wake up call was punctual. Overall, I have no complaints with our one night stay, and would be happy to stay at Double Tree Toronto Airport again.”

- Good location and good service. Very clean.
- A bit far from downtown (~20 minutes or so), but its still close.
“Hotel is excellent for business and leisure travelers as its near the airport and for the money is one of the best available. Staff was courteous and professional, rooms seem to be going through a remodeling phase as the hotel is older, but the rooms we got were fairly remodeled and we had no complaints. For the price. You can't beat it.”

- Hotel room smelled of stale air and possible cigarette smoke. Was not as clean as one would expect.
“A higher quality of rooms was expected of this type of hotel. Overall, cleanliness of room was lower than normal. Air was stale and smelled faintly of smoke. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Room location was questionable, security and safety of a lone female was definitely not taken into consideration when room was allocated. Overall, impression of hotel was not as positive as one expected for a higher star rated hotel. The staff encountered at the desk as well as the porter or bell person were friendly and helpful.”

- The cookie.
- Airplanes flying directly overhead - terrible sleep for me. Long waits for elevators due to convention.
“This hotel was disappointing for a 3 star. My room had an electrical outlet that was hanging out of the wall, and the toilet was not completely clean upon arrival. The room was much smaller than at my favorite Marriott Courtyard near airport. I accidentally left my clothes in the closet and when I stopped back at 11 PM the same day of checkout, they had no record of having found them. The next day, they had found them and hopefully, they will keep them safe until I return to Toronto in a week or two. The main problem here was the airplane noise. I would never want to stay there again.”

- The hotel was clean. The pool is very nice. Room comfortable.
- $10/day fee to park in lot outside of city.
“The hotel met my expectations, but I was disappointed that there was a $10/day fee to park in a half-empty lot that was outside of the downtown area. The front desk was courteous. Our room was relatively updated and clean but there was no view from our room to speak of. We did not dine at the hotel.”

“Terrible policy to bump reservation for non-smoking room to smoking room. We traveled with small child; the staff bumped us to smoking room quoted that was company's policy. Talked to their managers, they seemed not care about the hazard of smoking to adults and child. Although I saw other people got no-smoke room at the time I spoke to the managers, I was still denied for a no-smoking room. Unbelievable attitude. This hotel is for sure not suitable for family stay.”

“The hotel is in a good location for airport travelers or for visiting the Woodbine Racetrack and Entertainment Complex. There are several restaurants and a nice pool area onsite. My room had one queen bed and an empty space where a sofa bed had been recently removed and not replaced. A coffee table was still in the middle of the room. As a single traveler the room met my needs, but it would have been unacceptable had I paid full price. There are better options in this area at this star level.”

- Very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds. No allergic reactions on my skin so sheets were clean. Hotel attracts quiet guests. Good.
“Small desk. Coffee/maker was in the bathroom. No complimentary beverages provided. Globe and mail supplied. Parking facilities needs some work. Restaurant tables, chairs, utensils etc needs updating. Could use some plants, candles on the tables a table cloth! Maybe some music would be nice also? Although this hotel is great, it lacks pizzazz. It's got lots of potential. But maybe needs a little touch of creativity to create uniqueness. I may have a few ideas for the executives, have them call me.”

- The cleaning staff was very friendly and the complementary airport shuttle was excellent.
- Some of the front-desk staff needs to be retrained.
“The temperament of the front-desk staff vary significantly depending on who you meet. Some are very friendly and some are out rightly rude. Once you get done with the front desk, the other staff in the hotel is very friendly. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The only negative is the size of the rooms which is rather small.”

“First we requested a non-smoking room and they insist they do not have any left. They treat customer like second class citizen. The air condition did not work. The chair was broken in the room and the light did not work. Their hotel is over rated I think it should be a 2 star hotel. They charged us for the parking and which I think should be free.”

- Room was nice, shuttle to airport on time, choice of restaurants.
- Staff were not very friendly - even when/if you tried to be.
“It is not a bad three star, it is clean and neat and the rooms are nice. Apparently they are very busy, which I am thinking is the reason they did not spend an ounce of friendliness on me both times we stayed at this hotel. I got that feeling at first; most hotels will pretty much do what you ask if they can -- this one made us wait 3 hours for a non-smoking room to become available -- even though we were there at 11 AM - generally a time when the rooms become freed up. I did not really mind waiting, what was sad was they were not gracious - they did not say anything out of line, just the cold treatment, not an extra word to make you feel welcome beyond what must be required. They are renovating (so maybe they were stressed). It is amazing how much a difference of one person's attitude can affect your sense of stay.”

- Not much to say; all was good.
“This is definitely an improved hotel from the International Plaza of years ago! Hilton has brought their reputation for quality and value to this property. It's been renovated, and is really impressive. Shuttle to and from the airport, and a very inexpensive parking option for those flying out and returning back to Toronto. Star level is too low for this property, should be at least a four-star!”

- Lots of quaint lounges and restaurants, great pool.
- The bathroom was not clean, very dirty other than the top surface.

- Practical but not comparable to the other 3 star hotels in area previous used.
- The room is not comparable to the other hotels in area; prefer to use other 3 star hotels.

- Spacious end room, nice bedding & towels, amenities.
- TV - Too small and out dated needs LCD, local not free.
“This time end room 10th floor was lovely, comfortable, should have turndown. I ate in several restaurants in hotel. Food overall decent. Room service very poor, long delay, missing food and cutlery. A bit pricy.”

- Very large complex with everything you need inside.
- Cannot collect points towards rewards.
“Hotel was very met all my needs. Since Toronto is so cold in February you don't really need to leave the hotel. They have everything you would need right in the hotel. The only problem was that you cannot collect or redeem points if you are a member of Hilton rewards unless you paid full price for the room. Not worth the points but it was a great price.”
