• Valet - staff remembered us and were very prompt.
• I know it was 4 star hotel but prices at breakfast were quite high for regular egg breakfast. Buffet price was okay but a normal $5.99 breakfast was $17.

• It is very close to mass transit.

• The dining room was able to provide veggie meal that is not on the menu.
• Outdoor area needs smoker’s ashtray.

“Reception was very quick with personable staff. Staff tried to not accept tip at arrival at our room. The dining room did not have a vegetarian meal on menu but gave me an excellent meal. The room was clean but husband had trouble getting hooked up with his computer. This was our 10th hotel in Toronto this year and this one was our BEST stay.”

• As a senior concerned about falling, wish there was a bath mat in the tub.

“Perfect for a no frills stay. Why pay for business facilities if you don't need them? Very cheap breakfast options meant it wasn't worth going elsewhere which was very convenient.”

• The staff was outstanding and did a few upgrades for us.
• There was not a bar refrigerator in the room.

“I had organized the room as a birthday gift for a girl friend. Upon arrival since my friend's husband is an executive with FedEx and was recognized by staff their room was immediately upgraded. Complimentary parking and breakfast was also included.”

• The beds & bedding were excellent. Staffs were very friendly.
• No fan in the bathroom.

“I would certainly use this hotel if I were to go back. It was bright & cheerful & staff often asking if they could help in any way. We were two elderly senior ladies & hadn't been to Toronto in years.”

• The staff made the difference in this hotel. The were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
• The room looked nice and bed was comfortable. However it was two hot. Even on a cool day.

“The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very efficient. The staff was also helpful with planning our daily trips and selecting restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The only thing that we did not like was that the room was hot at night. We dried to regulate the thermostat but had no luck. This was a small issue in relationship to the helpful staff and room accommodations.”

• No queen beds, room not up to date and front desk staff not friendly.

“The over all stay would be average. I would not consider this a 4 star in any way at all. It suited us fine as we had a concert to go to and did not want to drive home. If I had to tell someone to go to Toronto hotel for an evening this hotel would be on the bottom of my list.”

“I'd recommend this hotel to someone who is looking to shop since it's connected to the mall. It's very convenient for downtown access. It has a great gym but a tiny pool considering the size of the hotel.”

• Room service took 45 mines for toast and coffee; no mini bar.

“Another complaint was that the coffee maker in the room did not have any whitener or sugar, etc. and no mini bar. As for the accommodations itself, it was very comfortable, one of the best sleeps I have had at a hotel.”

• There was no sugar in the room for the coffee.

• The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly.

“The hotel we stayed at was very luxurious. The room was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. Our room service in the morning was right on time and the food was very delicious. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and even though we were early for our check in, the hotel staff was able to accommodate us. Overall, the experience was excellent and I will definitely be hoping to stay here again soon.”

• $24 charge for valet parking per night.

• The workout facility was fantastic, the doormen are not allowed to take tips, everyone was incredibly friendly, and service was excellent.
• Some of the shows on TV were quite offensive.

“It's a great place to stay, conveniently located in Downtown Toronto. A huge mall was connected to the hotel so you didn't have to go out in the freezing cold to actually leave the hotel. The workout equipment was so nice that I looked forward to working out. The service was excellent and the people very friendly. Would not hesitate to go back.”

“The staff was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the lobby renovation was not complete therefore the dining facilities were not open. The room had just been redone and was excellent, overall a very good stay and highly recommended.”

“Recently stayed at the down town Marriott Oct 4-8/07 and the service is exceptional. The rooms are a good size the bed is super comfortable ,and the price is very fair for the location and amenities. JW steak house has excellent steaks and the service is 2nd to none, professional and friendly ask for Ralph he knows about service.”

• It was a construction site, the heating didn't work, and the bed was uncomfortable.

• This hotel is not only clean; it is shinny with all the new furnitures, bedding, and floor.
• Downtown Toronto is not a good place to be because of air pollution but it is convenient if for business. Do not recommend vacation in this city.

“This hotel is the best ones we lived in a week in all the 3-star hotels in terms of its furniture and facility. Staff is friendly too. But like the city of Toronto, construction was going on sending huge noise to the lobby. I still recommend this hotel to anyone needed to stay in the city of Toronto.”
