• Comfy beds, friendly staff.
• Very loud at night due to the street noise on Young St.

“I really liked the room, it was quite clean and comfortable, nice new TV. The downfall was our room facing onto Young St. where there was a lot of party noise at night from people coming out of bars.”

• This hotel was nice and clean and the rooms were very spacious and clean.
• Check in was a diaster for me because of miscommunication.

“This hotel is very nice. I would recommend it to anyone to stay. It is located right in the heart of downtown close to shopping, entertainment very accessible. But upon check in I was told I would have to pay extra for extra people staying in my room when prior to checking in I called the hotel to confirm my reservation which was booked. Upon calling the hotel to confirm my reservation I was told I am booked into the room 4 people 2 beds. When I went to check in at the front desk the attendant told me I would have to pay extra for the extra two people. I thought this was weird when I had just called an hour before to confirm 4 people in the room. The gentleman who was checking me in was not very nice about the situation. After about 10 minutes of back and forth and me asking for the manager he then said he would not charge me the extra fee. Also when the rest of my party came to check into the same room I was staying in they were told there is no reservation under my name this is after I had already checked into the room and had been in there for at least 4 hours but over all the hotel is amazing I enjoyed my stay and the location is key and very convenient.”

• It is in an excellent location.
• I left my phone charger in the room and called two times about it and they have not returned my calls. The pool is very small.

“The parking situation was awful and the staff were rude, and uninformed. I had to walk up and down three ramps to park my car as there is no access to the garage via stairs or elevator. The line-ups at the hotel were huge.”

• Excellent staff from valet to front desk.
• Hotel bar would not serve me red bull and alcohol, very disappointing.

“Great overall place to stay. Valet service and front desk was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very busy (New Years Eve) so traffic within hotel was dense and elevator waits were pretty lengthy. Rooms were very clean, only thing that I did not like was that there was no sink in the bathroom. The sink was located in a nook with a coffee machine and vanity mirror. The beds were pretty bad, very lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall I had a good time, great view, excellent service, and great location.”

“I could never complain, it was in the centre of downtown Toronto, I knew it as the Westbury Hotel, and Marriot have made some changes, mostly in dining, this hotel I can recommend to friends.”

• Good location for downtown area.
• Breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant was very poor quality.

“For the price this hotel was a good. It is not a luxury hotel but the room I stayed in was quite large and appeared clean. The location is great for exploring the downtown area and is close to busses and trains if you don't have a car.
I don't recommend the breakfast buffet. The food is not good and staff not friendly. The cleaning staff do not stick to the service elevator and carry on loud conversations in the hallways.”

“The valet attendent was extreme helpful, he instructed us how to quickly get to our destination using the subway. He provided a subway map, marked our on and off spots and numbered all the stops in between so we would not get off too soon or too late.”

“When we checked into the room it had 2 queens. I called the front desk to see if they could change the room. They did and I was in the new room within the half hour. Great service.”

• The rooms were comfortable and nice and the location was excellent.
• They had rules such as "do not bring in outside food or drink" which I thought were ridiculous.

“The hotel was in a great location right in the heart of downtown Toronto, within walking distance to many of the theaters in the Toronto Film Festival. My stay was comfortable and pleasant, with an accommodating staff who treated me and my guest very well. I would highly recommend the hotel.”

• General cleanliness lacking, eating utensils behind nightstand, dirty/stained, comforter, strange room odor.

“Over all the hotel was very nice. All public areas updated. Large hotel with many meeting/banquet facilities. Our room seemed small, and considering the hotel chain and price we expected a cleaner/fresher room. Needed a good dusting, comforter needed washed or replaced, needs fresh wallpaper (stained). Some noise from outside (it is located on the main/busiest street) but did not keep us from sleeping. We would stay here again.”

• It was easy to find and the location was near the subway. My children enjoyed the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the workout facility.
• Parking was very expensive - loud air conditioners in rooms.

• Parking $25 a night horrible.

“Very friendly staff at front desk. Polite and easy to talk to. Quick check-in. Big clean lobby. King size bed was not the most comfortable, but pretty good. Pillows were nice. Room layout was very suited for a romantic weekend. Hotel is located on Yonge St., one block from a Subway stop, with a lot of great Restaurants and the Eaton Centre shopping within walking distance. We recommend the short walk to the Elephant and Castle Pub. Awesome! The parking for the hotel is at $25 a night. We parked right across the street for $16 for two nights in a public lot.”

• Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and helpful staff.
• Pool and hot tub hours were not very accommodating and then they were closed for maintenance on Sunday morning.

“Overall, this was a good hotel in a good location. It was at the start of the shopping district and a block from a Subway station. I would definitely stay here again; I just hope I get a chance to go in the hot tub!”

“The hotel was great. It was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was conveniently located and we were able to walk all over Toronto with ease. It was a great place to visit and the accommodations were wonderful. The parking was pretty expensive but we kept our car in the parking lot right next door. The only problem was you had to go back frequently and reinsert money in the parking machines.”

• My experience with this hotel was very poor service.
• I do not have the hand sink located in the bathroom, which was very inconvenient. I expected to have a bar fridge in my room and did not have one.

• It was clear that they were trying to live up to rating.
• The entrance/exit could be inconvenient.

“We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel for the price. We were glad. The only unpleasant experience was a 2:30 am fire alarm that caused us to have to descend 17 flights of stairs after just waking up. We thought the staff could have been more informative when we reached the lobby. But otherwise we had a good experience.”

• The concierge gave us misinformation.
