• It was comfortable and clean.
• It was very noisy - not just from the outside traffic noise, but from patrons inside.

“The hotel is well-situated, just off the main thoroughfare. We did not eat in the restaurant, but it did look clean and comfortable. Our main problem was with the noise level. Also, the hotel offered free wireless internet, but it was not working!”

“The hotel front desk staffs are not professional. We requested a room with king-sized bed, but we were switched to a room with queen-sized bed - we talked to the front desk lady, Amanda. We don't mind if the king-bed room was unavailable at the beginning, since we do understand that.”

• Location, comfort, amenities nearby (shopping, restaurants, public transportation, etc).
• Little things that were not attended to made the hotel less attractive to me.

“I liked this hotel very much. The location is great, the staff at the desk was friendly and cooperative, and the hotel was a good value for the money. However, there were little things that were wrong with the room, such as the telephone by the bed not working properly (I had to jiggle a wire to make sure I had a dial tone), housekeeping oversights such as leaving me one washcloth in the room or not leaving a filter pack of coffee so I could enjoy it in the room, and the fan on the heater/cooling unit not working properly, that really detracted from my stay. That being said, when I reported those things at the end of my stay to the person at the desk who checked me out, she said she would have my concerns looked into. I would definitely stay at that hotel again because I sincerely believe they are interested in their guests having the best experience possible there.”

“After a long drive, check in was quick and staff are friendly. The hotel is near to shopping centers and CN tower. The pool is nice but the Jacuzzi was so hot. My kids love this hotel; it is affordable except the pricy parking fee.”

• Noisy guests on same floor woke us up several times at night.

“Hotel is quite nice, clean, and comfortable. My main complaint is with noisy guests on the same floor; may be it has to do with a lower floor (I was on the 2nd floor). Parking is not cheap (valet for $30/day, self-parking for $25). Free high-speed internet is quite nice.”

• I liked how genuine the staff was and how friendly they were upon my arrival.
• I was confused as to where the entrance was because the entrance was not facing Yonge St.

“This hotel was perfect for me. It was located on Yonge St. And was less than a 10 minute walk from the Eaton Centre and the Greyhound bus terminal which I used to travel to Toronto on this trip. I liked that there were restaurants all around to choose from. The hotel itself was spacious, clean, and the staff was very friendly.”

• We couldn't get cash from ATM machine.

“We had a great experience at this hotel. We would stay there again in a minute. The room was clean and very comfortable for sleeping. Shower was great, we just did our thing, and were not bothered by anything/anyone. We had a hard time using our visa card at the hotel and other places that we went, which was difficult, and surprising. I would definitely change this service to accommodate.”

“Our overall experience was great. Many of the staff members were fantastic. Food at the Fireside Lounge was great. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Pool and hot tub were good. Pool is a bit small but we had it all to ourselves.”

“Overall a good experience in a great city. No complaints at all. The concierge was very helpful and recommended a great, gourmet restaurant. The entire staff was pleasant and addressed all of our questions and needs they represent their city well.”

• The parking prices were outrageous. I don't understand why if you are paying to stay at the hotel do you have to pay for parking.

“The hotel was nice, clean, and had a good location. I was very unhappy about the parking- not only did we have to pay to park at the hotel parking but it was $30 a night- 1/3 of what I paid for the room alone.”

• The hotel was centrally located and many attractions were within walking distance.

“The staff at the hotel was very welcoming. The valet attendant met us at our vehicle and was supremely professional. The breakfast buffet was excellent and reasonably priced for our family of seven. When we were about to leave, a staff person noticed me looking at the map of Downtown Toronto and offered her assistance without me even asking. It was a very enjoyable overnight stay.”

• The pillows are feather and so comfortable!
• The shower stall seemed old and worn time for an upgrade.

“This hotel is in an ideal location as it is close to public transit. Take advantage to the in hotel parking as this area is known for theft from autos. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The beds are fantastic! The only down side is that the shower stall needs an upgrade it has seen its day and needs to be replaced.”

• It's location , the staff's friendliness on the whole.
• The fact that you could only exit and enter through the back valet parking area. Better access needed off other streets.

“Overall a pleasant experience. Coming in through the back entrance was not that visitor friendly. There were side doors but access wasn't allowed. I feel your room key should give you access to these side entrances and thereby eliminate some of the foot traffic and it would make it more convient. The Valet was excellent in helping with my luggage and my car troubles when I arrived.”

• Was informed hotel had been completely renovated. Our room was dirty and not as expected.

“We were charged $250 upon checking-out due to the fact that they felt smoking had occurred in the room. We did not smoke in the room. We don't even smoke in our own home. This was unacceptable.”

• The hotel was attractive, clean and centrally located.
• I would like free internet. A local phone call cost almost $6.00.

“The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. There was a nice work out room with good equipment. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens appeared to be of high quality. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. I just wouldn't use the phone.”

• I liked the lobby.
• I was told, I can check out later, then found out I cant the day of. I expected more for the price I paid.

“The hotel is generally good, not 4-star quality, I expected a lot more! I was disappointed the second I walked into the room, I was hoping for the Westin by lakeshore. But I didnt get it! Although the lobby is nice and the location is very convenient I probably would not want to stay there again.”

• My room was very big, useful for when a couple of friends popped by. Good location, short cab ride to lots of places.
• The parking rates were ridiculously high. $30 valet for 24 hours is just silly.

“This hotel was up to the job. Very attractive lobby, large room, very good staff, very clean. Its location is excellent, lots of places for a quick bite, especially late night. Short walk or cab to better dining, or shopping. The staff was courteous, especially since it was Grey Cup weekend. No one was rude or constantly reminding people to be quiet. They recognized the party atmosphere the Grey Cup brings. But, frankly, I didn't hear anything excessive from any guest. I'd stay there again.”

• The pool is not for kids. This is a real downer.
