• Location.
• Cleaning staff entered room early in the morning, more than one time.

“Hotel was in a good location, but charged for any extra person after 2 people in each room. Mixed up my bill at check-out. Cleaning staff was eager to clean room and came in at 9:30 am and 10:00 am.”

• Newly renovated.
• Very slow elevators. Only 2 out of 4 were in service.

“The Hyatt is a very nice hotel. The room is spacious and very modern. The large screen TV is an added luxury. We had a few disappointments with our room. When we arrived there was only one glass and the remote control was missing. We were also disappointed that the elevators were extremely slow! Only 2 of the 4 elevators were in service. We waited for several minutes for elevators to come. Overall the we had a wonderful experience and would stay there again.”

• Mostly the location - close to major attractions and good restaurants.
• We had thermostat problems which caused our room to overheat and the noise level was terrible.

“Although the location was good, the noise from other guests in the hallway at night was atrocious. Also our faulty thermostat caused our room to heat to approximately 90 degrees and nothing could be done to facilitate us.”

“The Hyatt is a great hotel. I was greeted as soon as I stepped out of my car. The check-in process was very fast and easy. The location was perfect I just left my car in the hotel parking and was able to go to all the sites I wanted by foot.”

• Very comfortable, relatively convenient and quieter than other hotels I've stayed at recently.

“This was a last minute need and the hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and quietness. I would definitely stay at this hotel again (Hyatt Regency).”

• Rooms near the elevator can be a bit loud if people are waiting.

• The toilets did not flush properly & the tub & sink drained very slowly.

• Location was prime, parking reasonable, easy access, amenities & proximity to great shopping and restaurants, staff was friendly & professional.
• The rooms were clean but there was some dried sauce on the wall that had been missed. Need more towels in the bathroom.

• Excellent downtown location and was very clean.
• Poorly trained staff, hotel was overbooked, and the unsafe parking.

“I'll start with the good. This hotel is in a great location for entertainment in downtown Toronto. The hotel is easy to find and the rooms are clean. I wish I could say there was anything else that was good about this hotel.
I was greeted at check in with we don't have the room you reserved. There are no cots or upgrades. There is nothing you can do but accept what we give you because you've already paid in full and we don't have to make you happy. Then my credit and debit cards were all rejected, making me look like a dead beat with insufficient funds for incidentals in front of a growing line of other guests. Turns out that the employee just had no idea what she was doing and processed all of my cards incorrectly. She found that out after leaving the desk twice to talk to a manager and asking another employee for help. A great start to my vacation. I used the hotel's underground parking. When leaving the hotel after spending the night, I found that the back seat of my car was pulled down to access the trunk, which was not the way I left my locked car. I ignored it as nothing was missing from my car (there was nothing of value left in my car) but as I was driving to the exit, I saw hotel staff and guests inspecting another car with a smashed in window in the parking garage. Upon further inspection of my car later that day, I found that the side panel of my car window had been pried open, which makes me 95% certain that someone had broken into my car. Even if I'm just paranoid about my own car, at the very least, I saw one car that was broken into. In short, I intended to have a peaceful stay at a 3.5-4 star hotel. Instead, I got rude and untrained staff, a room I did not book, and my car broken into. Oh, and the elevators are incredibly slow. Don't stay at the Toronto Hyatt Regency.”

• Rooms recently renovated, nice decor.
• Lobby area/public spaces kind of bare, no free internet.

“The hotel was great. Room was recently renovated with big comfortable bed with duvet, large wall mounted TV, and attractive bathroom. Wasn't crazy about glass walls of bathroom, turning light on at night disturbs other sleeper. No free internet connection either. Roof top pool was nice on warm sunny evening, but it closed at 8pm. Overall, very nice hotel.”

• The room was beautiful and spotless! I found it very comfortable.

“The room was well decorated, very modern and super clean. Beds were comfortable too. The same goes for the public space of the hotel - well decorated and clean. All of the service I received was above and beyond.”

• Proximity to the Princess of Whales Theatre.
• Unable to use the resturant due to it being under renovations.

“Much of the hotel is under renovation so it was a little cluttered and messy. The room was very nice. We used the fitness center and that too was very nice.”

• Brightness and sleekness of rooms, cordiality of employees.
• The kitchen staff hovered over the complimentary coffee on table.

“The Holiday Inn on king has lovely, contemporary decor in the rooms and nice views of the city and the fitness room was much appreciated. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The hotel is undergoing a massive renovation at the moment, so the lobby experience was pretty dreary. Also, a cheaper morning breakfast should be made available. A bit far flung from the nearest subway. Otherwise, a solid, professional hotel.”

• The entire hotel has been recently remodeled.
• Guest entry/car port was not very well indicated.

“This is a newly remodeled hotel. Details are well-finished giving the spaces a crisp newness. The rooms are of a modern decor which some may not appreciate. For the tech savvy the possibility of running a computer through the big flat-screen TV for meeting prep, movies, or gaming is a real plus. The hotel is family friendly in so much as it has it's own restaurant with middle of the road fare for all three meals. For the thrifty traveler check out restaurants near-by.”

• Newer updates. Modern Decor was very nice!
• Pool deck was dirty. Not very welcoming patio!

“We loved our stay at the hotel. We were unhappy with the roof pool and deck. It was not at all welcoming. It had potential but was not very clean or nice. We loved the rooms and thought the staff was super! I would say it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. (fix the pool area).”

“We had a great stay at the hotel. It was very clean. I wasn't crazy about the parking garage underground but it was a place to park off street so it sufficed and I understand that there are space constraints. I would definitely go back.”

• Great view to east soon to be blocked by taller hotel.

“This hotel is in a great location in the heart of Toronto, with Second City & a row of restaurants and clubs right across the street, & it's right on a trolley line, & within walking distance of the train station. Very nice big room, and reasonably priced given the quality.”

“Overall it was a pleasant experience staying in holiday inn on king st. We had only one minor issue with the hotel when we checked out and were about to leave. The hotel put a ticket on our car while we've already paid in full all 3 nights of parking in its garage. The issue got resolved quickly as we confronted the front desk. However we wish its staff would have been more careful with their work for the future reference.”

• It was close to many tourists sites.
• Wrong location, we need to stay by Marriott on boor or Marriott courtyard on young. Daughter lives near there.

“Hotel is close to theatre district and china townie suggests that downtown Toronto should be divided in the request for a location when searching for a room. Search is too large for downtown Toronto.”

• Cleanliness was sub-par compared to the cost associated with this hotel.

“The cleanliness compared to the cost of the hotel per night was not adequate. The hotel costs more than it should base mostly from what I¿ve seen on the location in which it is situated. If you don't mind paying a lot per night just for location then it wasn't too bad but otherwise looks elsewhere.”
