• Service everywhere was excellent.
• The pool and area were very crowded, no chairs to sit in. Also the parking was expensive and the option of off site a bit complicated.

“The service on arrival and explanation of hotel amenities most helpful. The valet parking worked well and again very hospitable but $40 per day a bit pricy. The room's decor was very palatable. It was all good.”

• Location was perfect, staff was very efficient.
• Bar prices was outrageous.

“This hotel was great, the location could not be beat, the staff was friendly and helpful with directions etc. The room was clean and refreshed each day. The only three negatives were the bottled water in the room was not replaced after the first night. Internet is only free in the lobby area. And under no circumstances go to the bar in the lobby. Needless to say that is the only glass I had. All in all it was a great stay.”

“I was unfortunately next to a very loud party of drunken people and asked to be moved at about 1 AM. The hotel's front desk was supposed to send a busboy with the new room key, but never did, so I had to completely pack and go all the way down the lobby. Also found the rooms to be small and in need of renovation.”

• Charge for health club and in-room internet service.

“Very accommodating staff. Requested and received a non-smoking room, on a high floor, facing south, not near elevator or vending machines. Liked that there was a door hanger for the cleaning crew that allowed you to pick the preferred time to have the room made up.”

• The accuracy and speed at which we were checked in.
• The parking!

“Check in was very busy (long line ups) but the staff who were on duty were pleasant. The lobby is nice, but the overall upkeep of the property is lacking. In our room, there were numerous greasy smudge marks on the window, and we were situated right next to a group of people who were celebrating a wedding, and kept us up until 2:30 in the morning. Security was sent up to rectify the problem, but we were not offered a different room, and no compensation was provided (later check out time, in-room breakfast. Anything would have made the situation better).”

“I would not recommend it. The size of the rooms are very small and the width of the beds are very small. There is no parking except valet parking for $40 per night. They didn't change the sheets and it was very dirty.”

“The second room was so small that it could only fit a double bed, not even a queen bed. The 3rd one was a smoking room and it stinked. Fortunately we were able to change to 2 different rooms when we asked a different person at the front desk the next day.”

• Location was great, hotel standards are high.
• Housekeeping was very rude, and we did not get the sleep we needed to get in the morning, trip ended poorly.

“We were out very late, and were woken up beginning at 7:30. the place was very nice, and comfortable, but it was frustrating that doors kept slamming, and housekeeper was super- noisy, and came in our room 4 times while we were sleeping!”

• I liked the fact that this hotel was situate in the heart of Downtown Toronto.
• Room was not equipped with a microwave and I did not receive a newspaper in the morning.

“The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous and exuded an air of confidence. The hotel has a nice restaurant named 'Traders' which is moderate to expensive for casual dining. There are not any restaurants in the immediate neighborhood though which made it difficult to find an inexpensive lunch the next day. The Eaton Centre is two blocks away (major shopping centre) and I ended up having to eat in the food court. That wasn't a very nice end to my trip!”

• Had to switch elevators to get to our room. Pricy restaurants!

“The concierge was very helpful, the atmosphere was pleasant, our room was very nice with a beautiful view, but the restaurants were extremely pricey! We'd never eat there. It is very close to the train station, CN Tower and other attractions which meant we could walk and not have to take a taxi.”

• Great location. Good decor. Nice flat screen TV.
• Internet charges are high. No weekly plans.

“The Sheraton Centre is a very comfortable, upscale hotel in a great location. The staff is professional and courteous. I had a very good stay. My only small issue is that they charge $15.70 a day for internet, which I think is high. I was there for 5 days so usually I take the weekly plan which is more economical, but they didn't offer such a plan.”

“The Sheraton Toronto overall was a great hotel. Very nice newly renovated rooms. Beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and nice gym. The best location right Downtown next to Eaton Centre and all the attractions. Only downfall is the food at the hotel is much overpriced.”

“It was a beautiful hotel but our first night the hotel was sold out so we had two rooms with one double bed in each room. We were five in the family and the first night was difficult. The second night we got another room close to the first room and it was an appropriate room with ample bedding for our family.”

“This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Friendly staff, 10 minutes away from Chinatown, Eaton Centre, and even very close to the CN Tower and Coach Terminal. I didn't have to walk more than 20 minutes to get to any destination that I wanted. Oh, and the beds were amazingly comfortable.”

• The location is perfect for getting around on foot.
• The prices in the hotel restaurant were ridiculous.

“The rooms in the hotel were very comfortable and very clean. The hotel itself was located perfectly so that you could walk to many of Toronto's best locations. You could also walk to many fine eating establishments and this is important given that the prices in the hotel restaurants are beyond ridiculous. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.”

• The location and the kindness shown to us - one gentleman saw us in the path and stopped to acknowledge us.
• We were pleased with everything.

“There were four of us senior citizens and we went to Toronto to see Dirty Dancing and this was a great place to stay-close to Royal Alex and good choice of restaurants- it was a super place for a girls night out.”

• If you want to have internet access in your room you have to pay 16 dollars.

“The hotel has great location. But the parking is a great problem. They charge 40 dollars per day for parking. If you want to park somewhere else close to hotel you have to pay at least 22-23 dollars for parking. Also the internet access in room will cost you 16 dollars. Anyway it is a very good and clean hotel.”

“Huge hotel, not personable. Concierge is not helpful at all. Sent us to a restaurant that was closed. Asked for a suggestion for a Greek restaurant in a certain area and was told there were only Pubs on Queen street. We found 2 Greek restaurants on our own. Our bathroom ceiling was falling apart in hotel. We were on our wedding anniversary trip and the entire 6 days we stayed there.”

• They upgraded our room because we told them it was our last night of our honeymoon!
• Fire alarm at 11:30 pm, had to evacuate by descending 42 flights of stairs because someone used the fire extinguisher on our 42nd floor to have fun!

“Great hotel, crazy valet parking though. Very busy, tones of cars everywhere, lots of honking, not very pleasant at the beginning but once parking was over, room, staff, and everything else was great! Beautiful hotel! Gorgeous view!”

• Smoking rooms, charge for gym, loud clock (at city hall) outside window that rang every hour.

“This is a good hotel. They charge extra for the gym, and there are smoking rooms. I got a non smoking room but could constantly smell smoke which I can't stand. The pool is gorgeous and they keep a lane open for lap swimmers which is a great thing. There is an underground connection to the mall etc which is useful. Room service is expensive. Cleaning staff is good.”

• Additional Internet Fee charges in the room. Room smells a little bit like it is previously a smoking room.

“I recommend this hotel to others. To my standard, I like its quietness, great location, and the HD-TV and internet services (though I paid about $15 every day to use the wired internet in room). To my wife's standard, the sheet and bathroom is clean enough for her comfort and the hotel is quite close to Chinatown (dining) and Eaton Centre (shopping).”

“We traveled with kids and senior taking 2 rooms next to elevator shaft. A defective (and very noisy) elevator kept us wide awake throughout our first night! this compromise severely our plans for the next day. Nobody thought we deserve an apologize. Our room the next night was quiet but in bad shape with a broken bath. Generally, hotel needs remount.”

• The environment of the hotel was nice and the location is great.
• The room wasn't a 4 stars room. The carpet in the hallway was dirty, the carpet in the room wasn't clean. In general, the room wasn't clean enough.
