  • Location is good, the main lobby is lovely and shopping was close.
  • My room was only OK. It was older and mainly the bathroom but it was adequate for the little time I had to spend in it.

“Hotel lobby and area are good. The reception was great, the room was clean, but very ordinary and the bathroom was older. I was there on business and therefore was only there to sleep and did not use the facilities. Room services was the most ridiculously expensive and not that great.”

  • Location.
  • The beds were terrible.

“The mattress was probably purchased when the hotel was built. It was the worst experience I ever had. The pool and hot tub had too many people. The change rooms were 30 yards from the pool, and there were no lockers available.”

“Bring lots of money if you eat or drink in the hotel bar. The most I have ever paid for a beer in my life. Park in City hall parking across the street. That will save you enough to pay for one beer. Nice hotel.”

  • Excellent location.
  • Slow elevator service, over-priced mediocre restaurants.

“Well-located, massive characterless convention-type hotel; rooms are adequate (indistinguishable from any other 2-4 star hotel), facilities are convenient (except for very slow elevators). Staff is pleasant, entrance is unattractive. A good buy!”

  • Parking to much but we had the choice to park at a city parking lot which was fine.

  • Lobby was very nice and updated..
  • Rooms didnt seem to match the Lobby in quality.

“The Sheraton was quite nice at first glance, but was under construction and the rooms didnt quite match the lobby in style and quality. The staff was quite helpful and even refunded our parking fee when there was a mis-communication between the front desk and the Valet and our car was not brought around as requested, it was a nice surprise.”

  • Charged $45 per night for parking.

“Overall this hotel was fantastic. It was right downtown in Toronto and was in walking distance from everything. The hotel itself was beautiful with a waterfall right in the lobby. The excessive charge for parking is the only negative.”

  • Friendly and helpful staff. Starbucks within the hotel was perfect. Location was amazing. All around hotel was very nice.
  • I didn't like the one small double bed in my room, that was unexpected but manageable.

“I definitely recommended this hotel to everyone I have spoken to about my trip to Toronto. I was overly pleased with the hotel staff, they were very helpful with everything. They did everything to keep me as the customer happy, they informed me of local shopping areas, parking which was cheaper then the hotels etc. Definitely a must stay at hotel.”

  • Located next to the Toronto Eaton Centre.
  • That they upcharged me to stay in a king size bed!!!!!

“The hotel is very nice and well situated in the heart of downtown Toronto. The discrepancy lies with Priceline and the Sheraton as one contradicts the other. In particular, it is implied that you will be booking for a standard room (king) however when calling to confirm with the Hotel twice I have been assured that my room is for 1 king. Upon checking in the Sheraton continues to inform me that there is an additional $20.00 fee for a king size bed.”

  • Staff was friendly with the exception of the regisration staff.
  • Hotel hallways, room were dirty; A/C did not work well.

“At 4-stars the hotel is overrated. Perhaps the upper tower is newer and/or cleaner. The hallways on the 14th floor were stained. Hallways lined with yesterday's room service trays. Room seem to shoddy. Bathroom had insufficient ventilation. Public spaces were very nice. Tourism desk added (undisclosed) markup to all tickets, tours booked through the hotel.”

  • Convenient to attractions. Close to Subway and transit.
  • We were in the older wing of the hotel. Dated decor. Sharing elevator with office patrons.

“My son was quite impressed when we arrived late at night and saw the grand entrance to the hotel, but when we were then sent to the Richmond Tower (the older wing of the hotel) his disappointment was evident. The Richmond Tower is very dated. The dull colored tan walls and the dirty carpets had us worried, but when we opened the door to the room we found it to be well-appointed. The beds were comfortable and it had all of the amenities we needed. The staff we encountered were always pleasant and helpful. The answering machine was apparently not working in our room and a friend who was trying to get in touch with us managed to get a bell-hop to bring a note directly to our room.”

  • Very good reception with professional staff & comfort.
  • Nothing in particular.

“Very beautiful hotel, well located (in front of City Hall). The staff welcomes you with a smile and makes the effort to give you nice room accommodations. In the lobby there is a DJ with nice music while you sit on comfortable sofas (drinking free limonades). The children used free computers with wireless Internet. The rooms are very nice and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and the spa (and walk outside in the garden). In all very good experience for the all the members of my family.”

  • centrally located
  • too much traffic in drop off area near front door

“This hotel provided everything you expect from a US based Sheraton. The service was excellent, the rooms above average, and the location was superb. Giant hotels like this one always have one drawback and that is they sometimes feel like a train station with so many people coming and going. Squeezing into an already full elevator or standing in line for over 5 minutes at the information desk is annoying but certainly manageable.”

  • Very clean, lots of elevators - didn't have to wait long.
  • Not accommodating.

“I phoned them after making the reservation to ensure we would get 2 beds for the 4 people that would be staying in the room. They told me they couldn't guarantee it, which didn't make any sense. Then I called again on the day of our visit and was told that all the double rooms were booked, but that they would try to get us into one. When we got there, we were told there was nothing they could do. So all four of us had a room with one king bed. We did get a roll-away bed, but that only slept one, so three of us still had to sleep together on the queen. I'm not sure why they wouldn't allow me to request a room with two doubles from the beginning. It would have improved our stay greatly!”

  • Location was good.
  • Lousy air conditioner.

“I couldn't beat the price I got on this hotel, and was looking forward to it. However, the air conditioner barely worked in the room. It took hours to cool the room down. We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes before we could check in. Also, the only thing available was two double beds (I was with my boyfriend and we would have preferred a king, but were told none were available.) In addition, there were some noticeable issues in the room. The door was cracked and damaged on the inside, and the ceiling had noticeable holes around where they put in light fixtures and a smoke detector. Definitely would not classify this as a 4 star hotel”

  • It was close to public transport and well located.
  • Horrible parking situation, extras are extremely expensive.

“It's a clean, luxurious hotel. This comes with pluses and minuses, of course. It's well located, but that central location brings about a horrible situation if you have a car. They only have Valet parking which is 40 CAD a day! The nearby options aren't that much better, though we did manage to park across the street for 25 dollars a day. The internet, of course, is not free. It's incredibly overpriced at 14.95 a day. A couple of weeks ago I stayed at another Sheraton in Ottawa and their Internet was free.”

  • The view from the Club level lounge was even better than the great breakfast served.
  • The 500 ml Nestle bottled water in my room was $5.50. $3.00 is understandable.

“The Sheraton Center downtown Toronto is all that you expect it to be. Although not the newest in its' category, it defines a classy hotel. The lobby level lounge includes a view into a small waterfall garden area that has a conservative Vegas feel. I opted to pay a $50/night premium to stay on the 42nd Club level floor. This included 24hour fitness center access, high speed Internet, and, most noteworthy, access to the Club lounge on the 43rd floor. Complimentary breakfast and hors d'oeurves with floor to ceiling windows makes this lounge very memorable.”

  • It had a waterfall visible from a lobby window
  • Hotel only offers valet parking which is expensive

“The Sheraton Centre Toronto is a clean and attractive 4 star hotel in downtown Toronto. It is a 2 minute walk from the Osgoode subway stop and directly across from city hall. Rooms were well maintained. There were several computers in the lobby with free internet access for guests. The valet parking was expensive, but the city hall parking garage (across the street) had an underground connection to the hotel for $14/day weekdays and $6/day weekends (no in-out priviliges). Priceline members who have a Starwood Preferred Guest card should present it at check-in - you might get a better room.”

  • I loved the architecture of the main hall.
  • I find too tight the entrance lot with the valets.

“The hotel's room does not feel like a 4 star especially with no extras like breakfast or even a water bottle for free. It is certainly comfortable, worth the price I paid, but actual room prices are 3 times more, and I'd feel ripped off if I paid that much per night for what I got. I also cannot believe the expensive parking of 40$ per night.”
