• Location and energy.
• The ac did not work very well.

“The hotel was fabulous! The location was perfect and the amenities were ideal for business travel. The only thing that I was not pleased with was that the ac did not work on the 42 floor. I kept it on 65 and it was still warm. Otherwise, I look forward to staying there for all business travel to Toronto. Gregory at the front desk was fabulous also.”

• Large conference type facility.

“This hotel met my expectations for a four star hotel. It was a bit large and impersonal for my taste but came with a lot of amenities because of its size. On shop restaurants and shops were plentiful. Although I was not traveling with children, the facilities would work well for families. The bedding was quite comfy. The location was excellent for shopping, dining or sightseeing.”

• Excellent location and very nice lobby, private outdoor areas, and pool.
• Nothing really.

“The location of this hotel is perfect. Access to underground passages to Sheraton Center shopping, Eaton Center and more. The lobby is very nice, as is the outdoor patio garden area. The pool is great. The room was very nice; we had one with a balcony overlooking the outdoor patio. Service was excellent. A great experience overall.”

• Located directly downtown Toronto and very nice hotel and room.
• Liked 7th floor out of 43 but street noise and street car vibrations where notices until late at night.

“Truly a four star hotel located in the middle of downtown Toronto, one of the safest and most exciting family vacation cities in North America. However, our very comfortable room was noisy until late due to street car noise and vibration. Additionally, the hallway door allowed every sound into our room. The last negative experience was the extra ordinary cost to park at the hotel or in a downtown city lot (nearly half the room charge!). Overall a fantastic experience for a fair price. I will go back to complete the things we missed! I would select the Sheraton Center again.”

• Location- right on Street with tons of shopping/nightlife right outside.
• Parking: don't use the valet--there's public parking across Street for much cheaper.

“Excellent location in downtown within walking distance of the Tower, theaters and right in the middle of the upscale Street Shopping. The hotel sits right on top of underground path system of tunnels and shops that connect the hotel with malls and other local buildings.”

• Decor of hotel rooms and lobby is classic and subdued. Lobby garden a very nice touch.
• Television should be flat screen. Bath towels should be fluffier and bigger.

“Hotel was in very good location. Close to shopping, restaurants, transportation. Staff was very professional and helpful. Nice decor in rooms with restful colors. Beds are very comfortable. Bathroom had good amenities including new curved type of shower rod which made for more space when showering. Towels were plentiful but bath towels could be larger and fluffier. Shower caps should have been available in bathroom without having to ask.”

• Free upgrade to club floor after being put on hold for several minutes.
• A bit noisy in the large open lobby; must pay for wireless internet.

“Overall, it was an excellent hotel experience with very comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff (of course, they're Canadian ;-), a great location and a nice view from the 43rd floor club lounge. However, even cheap hotels provide free WIFI internet; I don't know why we should expect less from upscale ones. Odd. This is the second Sheraton in almost as many months where they're external glowing red sign ("the Sheraton") has one or more lights out.”

• Centrally located to most attractions and the subway is a block away.
• You can hear the watchtower bell at the old courthouse go off every hour.

“Great hotel for the price you pay. Literally every things is within walking distance and if it isn't the subway is right under the hotel. Only downside is that the gym isn't free.”

“The location is great. You're right in the center of everything. Rooms are clean and pretty big. I didn't like the fact that there was no fridge in the room. The bathtub was chipped all around. Shower flow was not adjustable. Bathroom counter was very small. ”

• Room to close to the elevators, could hear them running.

“We checked in and checked out using a computer in the lobby, so our interaction with the hotel staff was minimal. But that also made the process much quicker and no lines! Other than our room being too close to the express elevators in the tower (which we could hear zooming up and down all day and night), this was a great hotel.”

• The staff was great and always friendly.
• The air conditioner made too much noise in the room.

“Would recommend this hotel to my good friends. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped. Pool and exercise facility are good. Sauna was not great. Did not really work properly. Room service was prompt and food was hot and correctly prepared.”

• Overall, I was very impressed. The front line staff were exceptional right from check in to check out. Even the housekeeping staff greeted us with friend.
• A few deficiencies with the room, cracked coffee pot and broken towel rack. But they were minor things and the overall room was clean.

“We very much enjoyed our stay. Loved the lobby with the book chairs, game tables and rocking chairs in front of the waterfall. Pleasant, helpful staff. Wonderful beds. Great hotel for business or leisure. Would highly recommend.”

• We stayed in a remote quarter on the 2nd floor.

“We stayed on the 2nd floor of a high rise hotel so we did not get to enjoy the view of the city. Also, we got a room that was very secluded. Somewhat spooky. ”

• The rooms are average and not at the same level as for example, The Westin Harbor Castle.

“Overall, a good hotel. It is well situated in the downtown Toronto area, and is within walking distance or a short cab ride from many of the attractions in the downtown core. The public spaces are well done. The rooms are average, with the bed being comfortable but not as comfortable as the "heavenly bed" at the Westin. However the rooms are clean and views are very good. The washroom is average. Overall, a 3.5-4.0 star hotel.”

• The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Toronto. Minutes from everything!
• Paint was peeling in the shower and their menu system for ordering in room movies was not working on 5/11/07.

“After waiting for the fire department to reset the fire alarm system at the hotel, a 45 minutes wait, we were quite surprised at how nicely decorated our guest room was. A very nice hotel, only minor inconveniences during our stay such as not having the wine we ordered thru room service. The wait for the fire alarm, paint peeling in the shower, and the menu system for ordering in room movies was not functioning on the last night of our stay.”

• I arrived late -- after midnight. Was given a room with a pullout couch!

“This is a tough one. The hotel has a nice looking lobby. The staff was generally friendly. Problem was, I arrived late due to aircraft delays - after midnight. I was told that the hotel was completely booked and was given a room which was some sort of meeting room. I'd call it a suite (which is what I thought I had been given when I first walked in), but it had no bedroom. The bed was a pullout couch -- and a horrible one at that. The bed had no support. The hotel brought in a cot which was basically a mattress on a platform. That mattress was much better but they just stuck it in the middle of the room. The overall experience was very unpleasant.”

• Our room was next to the elevator shaft. Sounded like airport always.

“Hotel was beautiful. Our room was smaller than the normal rooms that we stay in with nothing more to offer. There were no additional amenities. Loved the hotel otherwise.”

• The sweet sleeper beds are amazing! The robes in the room are great!
• I loved everything!

From the front line staff, the newly gorgeous lobby, the always amazing Sheraton Sweet sleeper beds, robes in every room make give the impression your staying in luxury. “I've stayed at this hotel before and had a better experience. This times I had a terrible view - looked at office towers -- and it was difficult to sleep because of the street noise. I kept the window open because the room was very, very stuffy. I suspect when you don't pay the full price they don't give you the best rooms.”

• I liked that they were connected to the shopping district.
• The concierge gave bad directions.

“I liked the location of the hotel. It was convenient to many Toronto attractions. The lobby was very inviting and it was great that the hotel had the underground path system connected to it. The room was fine, but the ice machine was broken on our floor. They should offer HBO or some other premium movie channels as well on the TV.”

“Great hotel in an outstanding location in Toronto. Directly connected to the underground path shopping center and walkway, thus connected to the Eaton Center and Union Station. Walking distance to the financial, entertainment and theater districts. I was given the choice between a high floor and low floor, and when I requested a large bed, was given a room with a comfortable King mattress. Highly recommended.”

• The seats in the lobby that look out on the waterfall have speakers to plug into your personal player.
• Toll-free calls from the room cost $2.12.

“Other than the lack of an in-room safe, the $2 (plus tax) charge for a toll-free call from the room (not laid out in the "guest services" binder) and the lack of stationery to take home (come to think of it, there may not have been a pen, either), I had no complaints. The building is easy to spot from a distance, making it harder to get lost. The Hudson's Bay department store is nearby, if you happen to forget to bring a belt.”
