• I most enjoyed the complementary lobby internet access.
• Moving in the middle of the stay to another room because I booked both nights separately.

• Fantastic location for walking to all major sights in Toronto.
• Parking, internet connection and the gym were additional fees.

“The inner city location was fantastic with miles of underground shopping and connections to the subway. The pool was one of the best we have ever seen in hotel located in the downtown. It had both an indoor and outdoor pool area. In the lobby, there was free internet and computers for anyone staying in the hotel and traveling with a teenager it made our stay even better. CN tower was about a 20 min. Walk from the hotel. I give this hotel high mark.”

• Non-smoking room did smell of smoke.

“This hotel is located in a great area of the city. It's within walking distance of shopping, dining, subway and entertainment. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was helpful and polite. I would suggest that travelers stay here.”

• The waterfalls and greenery in the middle of the hotel was very nice and a good break from the city.
• If you came back at 4am they were switching over the keycards and you could not get in your room.

“The Sheraton was very comfortable and nice to look at. We were able to check in and out easily and it's location in the middle of Toronto was great for whatever you wanted to do. It was equally near to all shopping districts and the entertainment area was right around the corner.”

• Absurd parking rate 35 us a day, better walk and park it in front for half.

• Comfortable, clean, quiet room with a nice bed & great view. Nice pool too.
• Poor lighting in the bathroom. Beer over-priced at bar.

“Beautiful lobby with waterfall. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice bed with good quality mattress and pillows. Great view of CN tower! Pool is big and refreshing. Would definitely want to stay in this hotel again. Beer is way over-priced at the hotel bar though.”

• Great location, Lot's of things to do nearby.
• Parking is across the street and tends to be expensive.

“This large hotel in downtown Toronto. The location is very central and one can easily catch trams or subway transportation. Waterfront is only 10minutes by tram and China town is 5 minutes by tram. Rooms were clean but dated. Views of the city were very nice. Free internet access in the lobby was nice to have for those who need to stay in touch. There is a wide assortment of restaurants in the hotel. One level below the hotel is subway access and walking to all parts of downtown. The area is immense and a map is needed to find your way around. Lot's of shops and restaurants can be easily accessed this way. The hotel entry area is quite congested with many cars and taxi's loading and unloading. Space is very tight and waits can be long. Public parking is available but is across the street without underground access to the hotel.”

• If you want to be in the heart of Toronto you can pick no better place than the Sheraton center.
• I found parking at $35.00 per 24 hour period was expensive but I guess that is normal for a downtown location.

“The hotel was great, the location was great! The hotel had a very attractive lobby area with table games and books for reading. It was being enjoyed as a social place for young and old. The tour desk was very helpful for all our questions. The fitness center was up to date and the pool area was beautiful. Again the location was prime.”

• The location, the pool area and deck, the lobby were all very nicely decorated.
• We were placed in a smoking room as these were the only rooms available. The smell of smoke was so strong that we were so aware and disturbed.

“Great location, easy access to Island Airport, downtown, City Hall etc. If you are not a smoker - don't get stuck on a smoking floor; it really ruins your stay. Several facilities not operational during our stay, i.e. telephone not working, vending machines for drinks out of order. Otherwise, very nice place and location.”

• Excellent views, well-located, well appointed, friendly staff, lots of things to do.
• Internet cafe had too few stations, annoying fire alarms on 2 nights, weird witch conference going on in hotel while we were there.

“We didn't know what to expect from the Sheraton Center, but we were blown away by this hotel. We had an amazing penthouse view from our room on the 35th floor. There were tons of amenities in the hotel itself, including an internet cafe, 2 restaurants, shops and a two level waterfall courtyard in the center. The hotel is close to just about everything downtown and is connected to the underground 6-mile long mall (PATH). We were too busy to check out the pool, and it's a little irritating that they charge extra for the gym, but we were on vacation, so we didn't really care to use it. The service from the staff was top notch in every area, from the front desk to the bellhops to the concierge, who sold tickets and booked reservations right from their desk. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends.”

“The location of the hotel was right in the downtown area, great for walking to where ever you wanted to go. The lobby was very picturesque and heart warming. Finally a hotel with a great workout room. And loved the pool.”

“Overall I would rate this hotel a 5. On the Saturday night of our stay, we had an emergency evacuation at 3:30 in the morning. I have never been so terrified in our life. All we were told was the police and fire department and SWAT team were on their way. Didn't get back to our hotel until 4:30 a.m. with out an apology. We still needed to check out at the same time, and there was no discount on our parking (which cost $45 a day as an inconvenience gestures).”

• Probably unlikely, but it would be great to have free parking.

“The hotel is situated in a nice area. There is no underground parking so you must use the path or park across the street at city hall. The room was small and wasn't 4-star quality. The room was like any other room. Nothing to make it stand out and gain a 4-star rating. The fast check-in and check out was horrible. It was empty of cards and so in the end needed to wait in line for another 20 minutes to check in. Iron didn't even function properly in the room.”

• The location was excellent; extremely convenient to major attractions & public transportation.
• There were lots of families; I didn't expect that aspect at all. Their concierge/tour desk weren't extremely friendly.

“Location wise, this hotel is great. There were lots of families and kids around the lobby or at the pool, if you don't mind children, and then this hotel will be great for you. The floors are fairly quiet, rarely heard any noise outside of the room.”

“A good deal, a great hotel. However we stayed in the smaller tower, the rooms and the feel was not as luxurious as our previous stay at this hotel (in the main tower). Overall a good experience.”

“Hotel is in a great location for walking to Eaton center, Younge street. We requested a non smoking room since 3 family members have asthma and severe allergy to smoke. At 4am was awoken to smell of cigarette smoke coming thru a/c vents, which lingered until check out. Also the cooling system worked poorly, we kept lowering the temp and it just kept getting warmer in the room. We did not call to get fixed because we did not realize it was not working until after we went to bed, had been out late and came back and just went to bed. Also peeling paint and plaster in the bathroom shower area.”

• The Hotel rooms were beautiful, and the staff was pleasant and attentive.

“The Hotel is centrally located in Toronto's downtown. The hotel overlooks the city square. The rooms were beautiful, although we stayed in the older section of the hotel. I have stayed previously and loved the newly renovated rooms. The staff was pleasant and attentive. However, we were awoken at 7:00am following our first night due to maintenance demolition that was scheduled to occur that we were unaware of. Pipes shook, and there was no way to return to sleep. It continued until Noon. We called the front desk and within 10 minutes a Security manager was there to assist us. He checked the complaint, found the problem and offered us vouchers for breakfast in their second floor restaurant. He was outstanding. Overall, the hotel was amazing.”

• It was very clean and provided a nice place to come back to after exploring the city.
• Not enough parking available in the hotel itself.

“Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable-our room had a great view, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the pool offered a refreshing end to days packed with walking. The location was perfect, it was only a short walk to great restaurants and shops. I would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel.”

Also we almost got ripped off by a taxi driver on the way to the airport. He was running the meter when we knew it should have been a flat rate!”

• Charge for the fitness room! Noisy teens. Business center not reliable.

“The hotel is in a great location, near 2 subway stations, Queen streetcar. It was very clean in public areas and in the rooms, hallways. Great elevators, always there instantly, even on a Saturday evening at dinnertime. Charging $9 for the empty fitness center is ridiculous but the pool and sauna are nice. The staff were courteous and service was good. The building is very ugly.”

• The staff was very helpful and kind and the environment in the room, lobby, and pool exceeded my expectations.
• The traffic and parking area was kind of crazy; however, we were in down-town Toronto so that is expected.

“This was an excellent place to stay as everyone was kind and all the things we needed were right in the hotel. Its location was perfect. The pool was huge! The beds were the best ever with all the pillows!”

“It would have been nice if someone had explained about the parking situation. We didn't know that less expensive and easier parking accommodations were available until we happened to read it in the hotel info book in the room. I would definitely stay again though, the hotel was great.”
