• Very efficient and polite staff.
• Room a bit small and plain, cost of parking.

“Parking was pricey. The hotel's cleanliness, comfort and friendly, fast staff made it an above average stay. Service and location make it a 4 star hotel, but otherwise a 3 to 3.5.”

• There was no mini bar in the room I stayed.

“I really enjoyed staying at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The rooms were clean and the hotel itself was clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There were many stores in the hotel to shop and also eat.”

• Wasn't as classy as the Westin Harbor Castle.

“Nice hotel. Great location. Gave us a pull-out sleep sofa the first night which was very uncomfortable after confirming my request for a King non-smoking room earlier that day. Moved us to a standard room which was comfortable for the next two nights. Great breakfast buffet!”

• Rooms (small and old), staff (rude), parking (expensive and not convenient).

“The only thing that makes it a 4 star hotel are the conference room on lower level, huge hall, price, and desire to charge for everything they can. The rooms are worse than at many 3 star hotels in downtown Toronto.”

• Parking was 30 plus a day, not the room that I booked, etc.

• Price and location, the comfortable beds.
• The church bells outside my door and the fire alarm trucks, it was too noisy.

“This hotel was very cozy and had a great location. The only complaint I have is that it was rather noisy at night. The church bells were loud, and you could hear the fire truck sirens all night long. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the internet access in the lobby, not to mention the staff was great.”

• The room was a good size and well appointed. Great Location.
• It was extremely busy and check in took over 20 minutes in line.

“Over the entire hotel was great. The location is excellent and you can connect to the PATH and subway lines underground which come winter time is a great thing. I would have liked for the room to have a mini-bar.”

• The location was very convenient and clean. The staff was very friendly.
• We wanted a king size bed, but the hotel was booked. Luckily we asked for a handicap room and were accommodated.

• The hotel is close to everything.
• They did not reserve a Non-Smoker room for me.

“The hotel is great. They did not give me any priority. I was given a parlor room which looks nice but the hide-a-bed is not as comfortable as a real Queen size bed.”

• The pool and fitness facilities were very nice. The atmosphere in the lobby was tremendous.
• The fact that they charged for hotel guests to use the fitness room ($9.00).

• The exchange rate @ lobby Starbucks was off by 6%.

“This is a true 4 star hotel conveniently located in the heart of downtown Toronto. It has every amenity & fantastic restaurants. Business or pleasure, the Sheraton centre is perfect!”

• The location and facilities are wonderful.
• I had a bad experience, but I think if I went back it would be great.

“The hotel is fabulous. The location is the best in Toronto, near great nightlife, shopping, food. This time, they gave me a room with a pull out coach bed (very uncomfortable) they told me this was all they had so I called the manager to complain (he moved me right away).”

• An oasis in the middle of chaos. A 4 block cab ride takes 30min.

“Surroundings are dismal. The hotel is an oasis. Staffs are friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean and the beds are perfect. Meals are expensive but reasonable is available on the path.”

• We were upgraded without asking at any additional charge excellent accommodation and staff.
• Absolutely nothing!

• You couldn't ask for a hotel with more resources at your finger tips.
• Location made driving difficult for us who are not from Toronto.

“The hotel was wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly. Sheraton offers the best sleep you could ask for. However for some reason parking was not included in the price I paid which I was extremely upset about.”

• Very nice décor and well appointed rooms.
• Lousy customer service at check-in (the check-in clerk was nice, the manager was horrible).

“We got to the hotel at 10pm. We did not get to our room until 1am. The hotel thought we had only booked for 1 night, when we booked for 3 nights. They then said we made 2 separate reservations and had to pay twice. They then ran out of regular rooms and would only allow us to stay on their 'executive floor' for one night, and then we would be responsible for checking out and rechecking in the next early morning to a regular room. We had to then fight to be able to stay in the same room, but we were warned several times not to use any of the executive floor amenities otherwise we would be charged. We felt like we committed some kind of crime because they ran out of regular rooms.”

• The front desk staff person was rude.

“During check in the person at the front desk was rude and ended up putting us in the wrong room. The security personnel that fixed the problem were excellent. The room was wonderful and the overall stay was great in spite of the bad start!”

“The beds in the 2 queen rooms are small. The air-conditioning was marginal. The prices at the restaurants, especially bistro on two, are very high--$10.00 for cup of coffee and cup of tea. It is very clean. Housekeeping does a good job. Staff at front desk and tour desk was friendly and helpful.”

• Only offers valet parking.

“The Sheraton hotel put us in a wonderful room. We think this is because we are 'star wood' members in that chain of hotels. They knew our preferences: away from elevators and ice machines, etc. We highly recommend the Sheraton hotel.”

• I enjoyed the location.
• The charge to use the facilities and the cost of valet parking.

“Talk about hit or miss with this hotel. I have stayed here before and have had an amazing room on a high floor and was not charged for internet or for using the gym or pool. This time is was in a small room that was not as nice, and was charged for everything. The use of the pool, the use of the gym. I don't feel that a 4 star hotel should be charging you for these options, it should be provided.”

• The pool was great. Very convenient to the ball park ( I was there for a red sox game) and shopping for my wife.
• I did not get a bed. I had the most uncomfortable pull out couch in the world.

“This hotel was awesome! When we walked in my wife and I were in awe at how nice this hotel was. We thought we had a steal. In fact, the room was not as nice as we had hoped. We got the living room/dining room portion of a suite, with one bedroom on either side. The room was huge, but, there was no bed (the friendly man at the reception desk did explain this to us) and was only a pull out couch. My 4 month pregnant wife attempted to sleep on the couch until finally giving in to sleeping alone on the cot (which was actually very comfortable, but could only sleep one) while my 4 year old son and I slept on each of the couches. Other than the lack of a bed, this hotel was first class all the way. The pool is great, the fitness center was awesome, and if you are going to a Blue Jays game, it's a perfect location. My wife likes to shop; Yonge St (the shopping area) was a very easy walk away. Perfect location for a tourist in my opinion. Just be careful about the bed thing, it was terribly in convenient.”

• Parking and internet use.

“We had reserved 2 standard rooms. On check in we were informed that on of the rooms would be a big 1000sqf room with sofa (bed) or cot, and one connecting bedroom. Worked well. Parking is a rip off, even self parking across the street came to $50 for less then 2 days, much more then the stated rate. They gave us reasons, but still seems a rip off, valet is only $20 more. The public internet station is always busy and the computers do not work very well. Lobby with waterfall and the pool area are very nice and we had a wonderful view of city hall and Nathan Phillips square. The staff was very helpful.”

• Parking and concierge service was too expensive.

“Though older, it had elegance to it. Parking was too expensive as was the charge for every concierge service. The staffs were very pleasant and helpful, the beds were super comfortable and I really enjoyed the pool area. I would stay here again.”

• We liked the location, in walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and theatres.
• The expensive hum drum breakfast in the bistro .The atmosphere of the bistro needs to be cozier. It felt like we were in a cafeteria style setting.

• Finding parking that was not valet.

“The hotel was very easy to find. It was located close to all downtown activities. Our room was quite large but had only one comfortable chair to sit in. The bathroom was clean and large. The TV is a large LCD much nicer than any other hotel we've stayed in.”

• The hotel was central to Queen Street shopping and close to a subway station for other parts of the downtown. It is a lovely, comfortable hotel.
• It felt somewhat impersonal.

“The Sheraton Centre lives up to the Sheraton name of terrific beds, comfortable rooms, cleanliness, and a lovely lobby with an amazing view of a waterfall. It has a central pod of PCs for guest use, which is very convenient, but which are kept extremely busy. It had a free wireless in the lobby, but the "free" area is very small -- directly surrounding the central pod of PCs. I prefer the Queen Street shopping area, so was pleased with the location.”

• Thin, non absorbent towels and no minim refrigerator.

“Sheraton is centrally located, has great restaurants within walking distance, has added star bucks (big plus) but lost shops (a minus). Easy to get to anywhere from here. Rooms are above average but towels do not dry your body. Maintenance responds quickly!”

• Large, clean, rooms and common areas are spacious and upscale.
• Still a beautiful room though.

“We were in Toronto for the film festival and this hotel was in walking distance to everything (including the train station). City hall is right across the street and there are activities going on there all the time. There are very good restaurants and clubs within a block or two in every direction. Allot of things are accessible through the underground plazas too. Everything was first rate at the hotel itself.”

• Staff well organized, polite, and efficient.
• Hotel was oversold, so we got a room with a pull-out bed in. other room facilities were in excess to expectations though.

“Great location (for us). Close to everything downtown - shops, restaurants, ferry to islands, museums etc. Up to date, attractive, and hospitable interior. Room seemed to have been recently renovated. Staffs were excellent. There was a fire alarm while we were there, but it was handled efficiently and without panic.”

• The man that was nice enough to bring us two spare beds on wheels.
• Given a room with no bed.

“I was given a room without a bed, just a pullout couch. I tried calling you guys and I couldn't get a "real" person to help me. I would rather pay full price so at least someone will try to help me. I will also be sure to pass this experience on to everyone I know.”

“We stayed at this hotel twice within a one month period. The room was very nice, beds were comfortable, and service was great. However, this hotel has a serious problem: on both occasions, the fire alarm went off at approx. 4:45am. According to the staff, this occurs most weekends. We were forced to go down 28 flights of stairs with our terrified 3-year old, and then wait outside for an all-clear signal which never came. We enjoyed the hotel and its location was central to our needs, but because of the alarms we will never go back.”
