• Food and drink prices were quite high.

“Can recommend this hotel - especially at the price we paid per night ($69). Very comfortable, clean and friendly. In an excellent location to visit Toronto. Some people have noted that the Bell Tower beside the hotel kept them awake. I can honestly say it wasn't a problem for us and we were on the side facing it - not a problem.”

• The pool was both an indoor and outdoor pool, Great times!
• The food was not worth the price; I would have expected a lot more.

“Upon checking in we were asked what type of room we would like to stay in *Very nice* We didnt get stuck in some room with 2 twins or anything like that and have to ask for a better room. Everyone was very helpful and answered all our questions. The pool was nice and warm, and I loved the inside outside set up. It's march and I'm outside swimming *LOVED IT*. All and all a great place to stay and I would stay again if ever in the area.”

• The service was awesome, facilities were great. We were upgraded without questions after issuing a complaint.
• Smelled like cigarettes. We were on a non smoking floor but we could not tolerate the smell so we asked to be moved. (they also upgraded us)

“Service was friendly and professional. The hotel is a bit dated and the smell of stale cigarettes is noticeable in the rooms. Overall, its a fantastic location.”

• Hotel was centrally located and within walking distance to many attractions and shopping.
• The parking and accessibility to the hotel was the only real negative.

“The overall experience here was great. The hotel was first class all the way and had multiple options for dining and shopping. The hotel staff was very friendly and there was always someone available for any assistance that you may have needed. The only drawback was the parking as it was expensive and not real convenient in regards to unloading and accessing you car.”

• $35 parking, no mini fridges.

“The Sheraton is a nice hotel and conveniently located right downtown. Our room was nice including a comfy bed and an LCD TV and had a great view over Nathan Philips Square. Only downside was there was no mini fridge in the room (how much sense does it make to put a mini-safe in every room but no fridge?) and parking was $35 for the night. Overall a good experience that I'd recommend.”

• Internet access costs around $15 per day.

“This hotel has a great location in the center of downtown Toronto close to the theatre district and many restaurants. It is on the path which is a 16 mile underground walkway with shops, restaurants and access to the subway. The rooms are fairly spacious compared to other downtown hotels and the beds are comfortable. There is a slight problem with noise especially the room doors which bang and can be quite loud.”

• Very easy check in, great view, nicely appointed room.
• Long dreary hallway getting to my room felt like a university residence/hospital, bathroom needed updating.

“Check in was not problem and they took my SPG # and I was on my way quickly. I was at the end of the hall which was a blessing (nicely private, great 2 sided view from the 19th floor), but the long dreary walk down the hall was not pleasant (carpet, paint scheme, lighting - all made it very depressing and seemed dated). The room was very nice, a good size although the bathroom also seemed dated. It was difficult moving the blackout curtains as they were behind the desk so ended up with some light slits peaking through (I prefer darkness). The real thing that surprised me was when I got into bed it was very comfy, but then I realized that it was very sticky. I would move my legs around and there was a light show under the sheets - c'mon folks, cotton sheets.”

• Very friendly staff, and accommodating.
• Extra charge to use the fitness facility, would be the only downside to the hotel.

“Great location, access to underground shopping and food court, great for cheap breakfast. Indoor/outdoor pool is very large and nice. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff was very pleasant.”

“This hotel is in the center of downtown Toronto, perfect location for all types of things to do in the city. The hotel has many places to eat, the rooms are great and have LCD TV's in the rooms now (or at least in the Richmond Tower) and would highly recommend this hotel.”

“Great location, close to subways to get to other parts of Toronto. Love the quick check in with credit card. Approachable helpful staff, free Internet in the lobby for an hour, lots of tourist info in the lobby both personnel and pamphlets!”

• The room was a little smaller than I thought.

“Great deal for the amount I paid. Its a great hotel, location and facilities. Parking is 30 bucks but for 20 bucks park across the street underground and access hotel easily through there. I would stay there again.”

• Beautiful 14th floor north-facing view of Toronto, with skaters down below.
• Our room was not ready when we arrived around 3:30 PM.

“The hotel was beautiful, with a comfortable lobby and a waterfall behind a glass wall. Our very affable concierge suggested great restaurants and gave us directions to various locations. We had a lovely room with a great view to the north of Toronto. It was delightful to look out the window at snow and know we could simply go down to the concourse level and enter the path and even get to the Subway without having to go outside.”

“Lobby is beautiful and the restaurants offer nice choices. The parking is an issue, although it is Downtown Toronto what did I expect? The hotel valet parking could not park my truck, wouldn't fit in their structure. The room needed updating, paint, washrooms, etc. Overall, it was fine for my business stay.”

“-We were not given the type of room we reserved (traditional guest room with 2 queen beds). Instead, we were given a hospitality room with 2 twin roll-away beds (which were standing on end not set up and there was no bedding with them). We asked the manager”

“I like big hotels and this one fits the bill. Lots of buzz in the lobby, link (internet) site and bar. Big events in all the ballrooms with smartly dressed people all around you. Rooms are very large. They have been updated with modern Euro-style furniture and plasma TV's. Bathrooms are fine, but not up to par with expectations. Great location in relation to the Gardiner Expressway helps you avoid the city if you have to drive somewhere. Manhattan style parking rates are the only thing that left me flat.”

“We arrived late (11:00 p.m.) and I had confirmed the reservation 24 hours prior to arrival for a Non-smoking King. When we arrived they had said all they had left was Smoking with 2 Double Beds. I told the front desk that this was unacceptable, then we were at the discretion of the hotel. I told him I would like to speak to a manager, he went and spoke to the manager and came back telling us that there was a handicap accessible room with a King bed but smoking. They offered to bring an ionizer to the room and also give us Club access for the 2 nights we were there and a $30 room service credit, in addition to switching rooms the next day. Those two offers were worth more then we had paid for the room itself. The next day after our massages they did move us from our 17th floor room to the 35th floor non-smoking Queen bed, but on the other side of the hotel without the view of the CN Tower, so I called down and they were happy to switch us to the good view side on the 34th floor. After all was said and done everything was great. The Wi-Fi at the hotel was having trouble connecting to the internet (could see and connect to the network, but could not connect to the internet). After a few seconds on the phone with the hotel tech support they had everything up and running.”

• Great location, great price, close to everything happening in the city.
• The bathroom was a little dated and really tight with the toilet basically an inch from the door.

“Good time, got there at 7 due to the traffic and there is close public parking since their lot was full, Went to Eaton Center, literally a minute away and even wanted to test out the skating rink that our room overlooked but every resident of Toronto was out there tearing it up, great time and nicer than two other places I have stayed in the past, try it out.”

“At first I had a 2 bed room, but I called the hotel and they changed my to a king size bed, no questions asked. My check-in and check-out process straight forward and easy. My room had a view of the CN tower and it was magnificent.”

• Location, landscaped public areas, underground access to Eaton centre. great view.
• Hear lock tower bell during the night, not for light sleepers, shower curtain still had hair clinging on the bottom, not pleasant.

“Staff was very friendly, gave us a room on the 28th floor. Parking at the Sheraton is only valet for 33$/day with in and out privileges. For an alternative during the weekend, there is the city hall parking for 6$/day without in and out privileges. overnight stay is then 12$. Room was spacious with king bed, had a wonderful view of the city facing almost directly the city hall and its skating rink. shower curtain had hairs lingering on the bottom, not very pleasant. on our last day, fire alarm went off at 9 in the morning, woke us up. So overall good stay expect for a few events.”
