• Newly renovated, nice decor and public spaces.
• Parking very expensive and difficult. Hard to get in and out.

“A great hotel near everything in downtown Toronto. Lots of families. Parking and restaurants were ridiculously expensive though. Otherwise, very nice.”

• The location and overall quality of the hotel was exceptional. The internet access was excellent.
• I really don't have any complaints.

“The hotel is centrally located in the Toronto business and fine arts district. The rooms are very clean and provide a beautiful view of the city. The internet access was easy and very fast. The hotel restaurants are overpriced.”

• We had to have a smoking room and were given free breakfast! Loved that!
• We didn't like the smoking room. Everything we had with us smelled like smoke the next day.

• Location excellent! Lobby nice! Some staff (room service, for example) very nice!
• Room quality: small, dingy, smelled like smoke (although non-smoking), needing renovation, somewhat dirty, housekeeping not thorough.

“For location, the price cannot be beat! Proximate to many excellent shops, sites, restaurants, etc. A nice view of the city from the room, as well. In sum: a very practical option, but nowhere near a 4-star experience!”

• The bistro was very unorganized and not worth the $$.

“All in all, the Sheraton Centre Toronto is an excellent hotel. Its location is perfect for downtown amenities. The hotel staff are very nice. The restaurants are outrageously priced, however, the quality is worth the money. Drinks are very expensive. The Bistro on the 2nd floor is the downfall of this hotel. The food as well as the service was less to be desired. The pool and other facilities associated with the hotel were excellent. Enjoy!”

• Excellent gym facilities/work-out equipment.
• Restaurant prices on the high side of pricey for the type of restaurants.

“Very comfortable and convenient. Beds and linen and room modern and comfortable, exceptionally comfortable. Excellent internet facilities and access to computers and work desks in lobby for business and leisure travelers. Great space to work in - quiet yet busy, so beats working in a lonely room. Work-out equipment and gym facilities excellent. I had a preferred hotel in Toronto for the past 7 years - I have switched my loyalty to this hotel - the Sheraton Downtown Centre - convenient - I parked my car and I walked everywhere - just a note, for the price of the valet parking - $40 per day they should have washed it gratis, although they did provide me with bottled water upon my departure - staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• The fact that we didn't had the room type we asked.

“Great hotel and location. Didn't like the fact that we asked for rooms with 2 doubles and got rooms with one double but then had to speak to the manager to get at least 2 of the rooms with 2 doubles. Other than that we really had a good time.”

• Hotel tour people were not helpful and landed us in not as fun locations.

• Lobby was very busy, hundreds of people always in the lobby, even at night.

“The hotel was great and the room was very high-end with a comfortable bed, plasma TV, and all the stuff you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Room was cleaned well, and housekeeping made a point of asking when you wanted your room cleaned. $10 for a beer and prices for food were outlandish for the quality. Go to one of the many restaurants within a couple of blocks to save money and get better quality. Otherwise, everything with the hotel was great!”

• The pub was severely overpriced for common beverages.

• Location was very convenient to major attractions.
• Due to downtown location, parking and re access to car is a problem.

“The hotel itself was quite impressive - next door to city hall plaza and connected via underground complex to a major mall (Eaton Center). Major attractions, including CN Tower, baseball park and Harbor front, were all within walking distance. The rooms are nice, but nothing extraordinary. The single biggest hassle is parking - valet is $40/day, but public parking is available across the street (although no reentry privileges). Overall, a very nice hotel and if you can limit your access to your car, it's a great place.”

• I loved the location, the room, the atmosphere.
• I did not like my view, or the fire alarm at 3:30 am - 2nd time, 2nd stay.

“This is a wonderful hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful pool, friendly staff, beautiful lobby. The hotel bar is terribly overpriced, but what can you expect in Toronto? On the negative side, both times I have stayed here there has been a fire alarm. The first time I woke up to the smoke detector flashing and a message on my answering machine. The second time I woke up to the fire alarm sounding and people in the halls. Then over the PA system they informed everyone that there was a problem in the other tower and we watched the fire trucks roll up. We are staying there again in one week, cannot wait to see what happens this time.”

“Were woken up by false fire alarm in the middle of the night recently due to mischief makers fooling with the fire extinguisher, and had people running up and down corridor banging on doors, we were there for only 2 nights false alarm went on for nearly 40 minutes on the 11th July. Should have better system to screen non guest out and security camera to arrest the mischief makers.”

“Conveniently located near the Osgood or Dundas Metro stations. Beautiful hotel. Average rooms. Stayed on the Richmond Tower which during primetime, elevators were extremely slow. Pleasant staff. Airport Express shuttle pickup was located in front of hotel.”

“Very clean, nice room sizes, comfortable beds, and pleasant staff made this a great choice for us. Did not eat in the hotel, but enjoyed closeness to many good restaurants a short walk away.”

• Very dirty and poor staff.

“The hotel was very unorganized in all aspects. There was confusion with Parking. Then waited an hour to check in. Check in staff was pleasant and fixed it. Around 2 am we noticed my bed was filthy. Housekeeping refused to change the bed and accused the stain came from me. It was me and my friend (2 girls). The hotel manager made sure my bed was changed but the housekeeper I was afraid was going to axe me in my sleep. The hotel did offer us a free night which I accepted. Found someone else's toe ring next to my bed (I don't wear a toe ring). I will most likely not be using my free room.”

• The price.
• Internet service is 20 dollars a day! The room was a bit small.

“Sheraton Toronto is in an excellent location. 1/2 mile from the train station, right next door to Eaton Centre for shopping and food. Also close to Yonge Street for people watching. The hotel staff was very friendly to my 3 year old son. The elevators in this hotel are very fast, so there's no waiting and the lobby has a beautiful waterfall where you can sit and read. The pool was very large, part indoor, part outdoor and the weight room had lots of equipment. There was a 9 dollar fee to use the weight room if you didn't have club level membership, but I saw several people use it without it and no one said anything to them. The restaurant had a breakfast buffet for 28 dollars. The Bistro other restaurant in the lobby had very limited choices, was very expensive, but the food was pretty good. We will be staying here again.”

• The first hotel I had King west, was wonderful. Sheraton was not so great.
• Sheraton hotel service was terrible and the room was extremely small.

“We had 2 different hotels. First one being the king Edward hotel. That hotel was wonderful from the view and the services and the room was just great. The Sheraton's lobby was great, but the staff was not that friendly they where very rush and did not seem to care about your service. I was absolutely disappointed with the hotel room. It was extremely small and very uncomfortable.”

• The hotel lobby was nice.
• The staff did not help us out with what we wanted.

“Upon entering the hotel my partner and I were very excited because from the hotel lobby and valet services. It seemed like we would have an enjoyable night. However once coming up to our room we realized that the room had a pull out bed. And this wasn't what we expected. When we came down to the front desk to complain they said that their hotel was fully booked and that there was nothing they could do for us. After complaining over and over again to different individuals we received two free breakfasts which we haven't even used yet. It was a very unfortunate experience one that I would never want to return to aging. We were treated like we weren't good enough for the hotel.”

• The indoor/outdoor pool was amazing!
• We were put in a room with ONE double bed (but it was comfy anyways).

“This hotel is located right Downtown, convenient to everything (entertainment, dining, etc). It is pretty big, but didn't seem crowded or too busy (elevator wait times were reasonable). The pool was the highlight of our stay! Imagine sunbathing in the middle of Toronto! I will definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel is centrally located in downtown Toronto. It is very beautiful and well decorated. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are pretty comfortable. My bed was a little uncomfortable but still I slept ok. The view from the floor was fantastic. Since it connects to the path it was easy getting around. Great stay.”

• It was close to where we wanted to go, it had a nice pool and was clean.
• Our room was very small.

“The hotel was overall clean and well maintained, they had good facilities and friendly staff for the most part. The only problem is that when we called to possibly wanted a room with only a double bed to a room with 2 double beds they gave a little bit of an attitude seemingly. We got the sense that we shouldn't expect anything because of it.”

• Food obtained from room service was cold (meant to be hot). Not appreciative of the inbuilt gratuity when I tipped the door man anyway.

• Good location, nice views from the rooms if you get the right tower.
• Lots of confusion between the staff, sense of understaffing.

“Sheraton Centre was a nice property with a few quirks. Dirty bathroom vanity upon arrival was something that was overlooked by the cleaning staff, just like the pillow set which wasn't the standard Sheraton Sweet Sleeper. They were remedied quite promptly though. They did sort out their mistakes very well. Excellent views, walk-able to everything. The pool could have used a good clean up; piles of some kind of sandy dust were accumulating in the corners at the bottom.”
