• Gave us smoking room then moved us to a "parlor" room with pull out bed, hurt back.

“It has a great location, but they put us in a smoking room that smelled very smoky. We asked for a non-smoking room. They said that they were not obligated to do that. Ended up putting us in a "parlor" room that was probably used as a meeting room for traveling business people. It had a big table and a sofa with pull out bed (no real bed). The guy that gave it to us said the pull out would be made up immediately, and that it would be comfortable. It wasn't either of these things. We called down to the desk 3 times over the course of the evening before the bed was made up. It was almost midnight by the time they got around to it, we first arrived at about 7 pm. Also, the bed was small and hurt our backs. Not recommended. Very disappointed.”

• Was in the Richmond Tower. View not as nice and walls were thin.

“Enjoyed my stay but I would ask to be put in the main tower next time. You could hear a lot of noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the decor was nice.
• They only had double beds available -- no kings or queens.

“The Sheraton has a great location and great amenities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The hotel bar was enjoyable. If only they'd had a larger bed available our stay would've been perfect.”

• The hotel is located in a central location and close to many restaurants and a short walk to Eaton center.
• Valet parking was not available and parking was located across the street and the hotel was not easy to find from the parking garage.

“The hotel itself is very nice. Located within walking distance to most Toronto attractions. Parking is not on the premises and it was difficult at first to find our way back to the hotel once we parked. We were given a handicap room which was small and there was no tub but the room was clean and nicely decorated and our stay was only for one night so not a big deal. We would stay there again.”

• Parking was a secret and the fees were ridiculous, also Cont. breakfast wasn't an option unless you were elite status.

• The maid made a lousy bed.

“The hotel is well located - though we had a car, which eliminated any issues. It is attractive and the staff was more than friendly. The room and bathroom were basic (we were unable to get a king size bed, so I assume the room was smaller than we would have liked), but clean. Unfortunately, the maid made the bed so badly that it pulled apart at night - and cost her a tip. While we were there the hotel hosted a couple of good sized conventions. But the elevator was never crowded, nor were we at all slowed or inconvenienced in the lobby. Changes - I am appalled that four star hotels still charge for broadband Internet access. Perhaps the charge is irrelevant to what I assume are its mostly business travelers. But as a leisure traveler who wants only a few minutes usage to check e-mail, I resent the charge. How about a free half hour every day ?”

• Inexpensive city parking connected under street to hotel lobby.
• Short drapes on my window prevented keeping the room dark after sunrise.

“Outstanding amenities, prime location, excellent hotel staff. We were aggressively chastised for leaving our Toyota Yaris rental car in a parking spot in front of the hotel while we dropped our bags off in the room (less than 20 minutes). Apparently it's an additional C$33 if you wish to check in driving a car. The underground city parking across the street is C$11-13/day but doesn't allow in and out. It's conveniently connected by underground walkway to the hotel lobby. One side of the hotel is adjacent to a park/pavilion which hosts rock concerts, during the day at least. We woke up on the 12th floor at 1000 am Saturday to a reggae bass beat.”

• Bed Linens could use some work.

“Overall this hotel was fine. Good price and great location. However I did not feel that the staff was willing to go the extra mile for guests. Bed linens did not seem to be the proper size for the bed as one of the sheets as well as mattress pad did not reach the end of the bed. After suffering a bout of food poisoning, we had called the front desk for some Pep to and were told they could not help but instead directed me to a nearby drugstore. On the upside, Hotel is easy to find, great view, and only a block from the subway .”

• We needed two room of two double bed for 4 people. They had no problem providing them.
• The hotel breakfast buffet was too expensive.

• Expensive Internet. Stuck me bad in a room by the elevator.

“Would be lovely if the front desk didn't decide that, I only merited a small guest room with a shared wall on the noisy elevator shaft. All night long I heard the sound of the elevator going up and down, and the doors smacking shut. Internet was $18 day -- absurd. The Motel 6 has free Internet.”

“The Metro Center Sheraton is in downtown Toronto close to the financial district and the theater district. It's very central so an easy walk to just about anywhere downtown. Facilities are great, nice pool, exercise stuff, lobby bar, restaurants etc. Comfortable and quiet room with great views.”

• It's so clean and comfortable to sleep with a beautiful view.

“I feel great when I entered the room. It's such a warm feeling. I have a beautiful view. I am very particular where I sleep because the last few time I stay at the other hotel, the sheet are so dirty, but Sheraton is so clean and beautiful. I can rest very well and that's what make so important. Thank you.”

“This hotel was one of the overall best hotels that we have stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was amazing and within walking distance from many attractions. Staff was very friendly and we especially liked the tour desk in the lobby. They were very helpful with maps and information about the nearby attractions. On site parking was only available through valet which I thought was over priced, however there is a public parking ramp across the street that is much more reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.”

• I had come from a canoing camp and the room was so clean and the beds were wonderful!
• The business center so I could check my email was not open very often.

“The hotel was in a great location in the heart of Toronto. There was an Olympic size swimming pool that was staffed with clean towels! The beds were my favorite - good sheets and a great comforter.”

• Excellent bed. Excellent location. Great indoor/outdoor pool. Very clean.
• No mini-bar/fridge. Bathtub tiling was corroded.

“The hotel is very well located, with easy access to downtown attractions, convenient parking, public transit and several miles of underground plazas and walkways. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The indoor/outdoor pool is large and very functional because it accommodates different weather conditions, but not luxurious. The room was large enough but not huge. The bed and mattress were exceptionally comfortable. However, we missed having a mini-bar in the room and the bath tub tile was corroding in spots. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience at a great price.”

• No free wireless in room!

“We did not have a larger room with 2 beds or a king our first night and they were full so they could not give us one. That was the only downside. the next day we switched to regular room. We did not get any kind of discount for getting a small room the first night - only one full size bed.”

“The hotel was full, so I was assigned a bad room. Although it was large, the beds consisted of 2 sleep sofas. The mattresses were not comfortable and certainly not what is expected at a 4-star hotel.”

• On Friday night, the whole hotel's key cards were deactivated.

“it's a nice place and location. just the fact that the whole hotel was locked out of its' rooms on Friday night somewhat killed the whole experience.”

• It has an elegant lobby. The waterfalls is very nice.
• Plaid decor was new Rugs and Wallpaper - I hate plaid Screams 1970.

“This is a first class 4 star hotel with a wonderful location near Eaton's Centre and Nathan Square. Everything was great. The lobby sets the tone with its elegance including large centerpiece of fresh flowers and waterfalls. The concierge staff is wonderful and had the perfect information and brochures.”

• Fabulous location, excellent rooms.
• The city hall's clock rang every hour! very expensive and not great breakfast.
